Thermal Engineering 1OO3RK Installation Manual

1OO3RK Repair Kit for Thermal Cap-Check
1. Do not remove the gauge post and disassemble the oil reservoir unless absolutely necessary. Should it be necessary to do so, reassemble the oil reservoir very carefully. Both ends of the 1061 nipple should be wrapped with Teflon tape. The gauge post (1O21A) should be tightened onto the pipe nipple enough to assure a good seal between the cylinder and the o-rings.
NOTE: Overtightening of the gauge post will result in distortion of the cylinder and may strip the threads.
2. The fiber washer fits between the lO41A pump assembly and the base casting. This must be centered properly to avoid leakage around the washer.
3. Check the size of the poppet spring between the gauge and the gauge post. Old style gauges use the long spring. New style gauges use the short spring. They are not interchangeable.
