Valued Thermadyne Service Provider
It just come to our attention that some time ago the vendor that supply us with the fans for the CutMaster 39 and the CutMaster 10 changed its specification slightly … the new fans stop drawing current for approximately 40ms when the unit is first turned on. This situation may be interpreted by the main board as a problem with the fan and the AC light will begin to flash.
In most cases the problem is resolved by simply turning the unit off and back on. An alternative option is to remove D14 from the Main PCB ( just clip it off from the board) and apply RTV to the
exposed terminals. Removal of D14 will defeat the current measuring circuit for the fan and it will not affect th e functionality of the unit.
The following page shows the location of diode (D14) in the main PCBoard. Note. All the Cut Masters 39 and CutMasters 10 manufactured after January 15, 2009 have D14 removed from the
Main board.
Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
