Subject: New Remote Arc Starter, RAS-1000
Summary: For internal use only !
The intention of this Tech Bulletin is to inform you that effective 07-21-2010 we have made some improvements in
the RAS-1000 for the Autocut and Ultracut units, this is in anticipation of the release of the 400 Amp system.
Some of the minor changes include a better connection for the negative cable and improved strain relieves, also the
new RAS-1000 can handle the 2/0 cable for the 400A system.
Going forward we will also use the 2/0 cable for the 300A systems, no longer requiring parallel the work and negative
cables.
For easy identifications the New RAS-1000 label will be marked as “
Notes: 1. Previous RAS-1000 (without the 400A mark) cannot be used with 400 Amp systems.
2. This is an informative bulletin, No specific action is required at this time.
