Recommended maximum age: Approximately 5 months
Bassinet/Carrier:
FALL HAZARD – To help prevent falls, do not use this product when infant begins to push up or roll over unassisted on hands and knees or has reached 17.5 lbs, whichever comes first.
•ALWAYS use restraint strap when changing child.
NEVER leave child unattended in the Bassinet/Carrier in the rocking mode with wheels retracted.
•ALWAYS lock wheels on Changing Table/Bassinet stand when in use.
DO NOT move Changing Table/Bassinet Stand with child in it.
NEVER use changing table or surface as a sleeping or playing area.
NEVER place child to sleep on changing table or changing pad surface.
•Child’s movement can slide Bassinet/Carrier. NEVER place Bassinet/Carrier near edges of counter tops, tables, or other elevated surfaces.
SUFFOCATION HAZARD: Infants can suffocate in gaps between an extra pad and the side of the bassinet and on soft bedding.
NEVER add a mattress, pillow, comforter, or padding. Use ONLY the pad provided by The First Years.
If a sheet is used with the pad, use only the one provided with this Bassinet by The First Years or one specifically designed to fit the dimension of the Bassinet mattress.
Bassinet/Carrier can roll over on soft surfaces and suffocate child. NEVER place Bassinet/Carrier on beds, sofas, or other soft surfaces.
STRANGULATION HAZARD: Child can strangle in loose restraint straps. NEVER leave child on changing table/bassinet stand when straps are loose or undone.
Strings can cause strangulation! DO NOT place items with a string around a child’s neck such as hood strings or pacifier cords. DO NOT suspend strings over Changing Table/Bassinet stand or attach strings to toys.
DO NOT place changing table/Bassinet stand near a window where cords from blinds or drapes can strangle child.
•To reduce the risk of S.I.D.S, pediatricians recommend healthy infants be placed on their backs to sleep, unless otherwise advised by your pediatrician.
Do not use in motor vehicle.
Do not put more than one child in Bassinet.

Discontinue use when infant begins to push up or roll over unassisted on hands and knees or has reached 17.5 lbs, whichever comes first.
• Keep all batteries away from children.
• Do not dispose of batteries in fire, they may explode.
• Do not attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.
• If using rechargeable batteries, remove from unit before recharging.
• Recharging should only be done under adult supervision.
• Only batteries of the same or equivalent type as recommended are to be used.
• The supply terminals are not to be shorted.
To avoid battery leakage:
• Be sure to position + and – symbols as indicated in battery compartment.
• Never mix old and new batteries, rechargeable and non-rechargeable batteries, or standard
(carbon zinc) with alkaline batteries.
• Always remove exhausted batteries from product.
• Never use a screwdriver or any metal tool to pry batteries from compartment.
