General warnings
Power supply
Ensure that the input voltage (AC outlet) matches the voltage rating of the product. Failure to do so could
result in damage to the product and possibly the user. Unplug the unit before electrical storms occur and when
unused for long periods of time to reduce the risk of electric shock or re.
External connection
Always use proper ready-made insulated mains cabling (power cord). Failure to do so could result in electric
shock/death or re. If in doubt, seek advice from a registered electrician.
Do not remove any covers
Within the unit there are areas where high voltages may be present. To
reduce the risk of electric shock do not remove any covers unless the AC
mains power cord is removed. Covers should be removed by qualied
service personnel only.
There are no user-serviceable parts inside.
Fuse
To prevent re and damage to the unit, use only the recommended fuse type as indicated in this manual. Do
not short-circuit the fuse holder. Before replacing the fuse, make sure that the unit is turned OFF and disconnected from the AC power outlet.
Protective ground
Before turning the unit ON, make sure that it is connected to ground. This is to prevent the risk of electric shock.
Never cut internal or external ground wires. Likewise, never remove ground wiring from the protective ground
terminal.
Operating conditions
Always install in accordance with the manufacturer‘s instructions.
To avoid the risk of electric shock and damage, do not subject the unit to any liquid/rain or moisture. Do not
use the unit when in close proximity to water.
Do not install the unit near any direct heat source. Do not block areas of ventilation. Failure to do so could
result in re.
Keep the unit away from naked ames.

Power cord and plug
Do not tamper with the power cord or plug. These are designed for your safety.
Do not remove ground connections!
If the plug does not t your AC outlet seek advice from a qualied electrician.
Protect the power cord and plug from any physical stress to avoid risk of electric shock.
Do not place heavy objects on the power cord. This could cause electric shock or re.
Cleaning
When required, either blow off dust from the unit or use a dry cloth.
Do not use any solvents such as benzol or alcohol. For safety, keep the unit clean and free from dust.
Servicing
Refer all servicing to qualied service personnel only. Do not perform any servicing other than those instructions contained within the Owner‘s Manual.
Portable cart warning
The components should be used only with a cart or stand that is recommended by the
manufacturer. A component and cart combination should be moved with care. Quick
stops, excessive force, and uneven surfaces may cause the component and cart
combination to overturn.
Caring for your environment
Disposal of the packing material
The transport and protective packing has been selected from materials which are
environmentally friendly for disposal and can normally be recycled.
Ensure that any plastic wrappings, bags and so on are disposed of safely and kept out
of the reach of babies and young children.

Introduction
Congratulations! Now you are the owner of the MEDIA ONE. The MEDIA ONE is a versatile mixer with DSP
effects built into a reinforced trolley that includes full-range speaker cabinets. Besides this, the package also
includes some essential accessories such as power cord and speaker cables. In order to ensure high versatility and excellent audio performances, the MEDIA ONE adopts optimal crossover frequency and advanced
power amplier technologies.
The left and right speaker cabinets are tightly hooked on the trolley. When you operate MEDIA ONE, rst of all
take care of the setting of the speaker cabinets.
The MEDIA ONE panel includes a compact extractable 6-channel mixer, which adopts 24-bit A/D and D/A converters and 24-bit DSP effects with accurate algorithms (16 presets). It provides 4 microphone inputs with ultra
low noise pre-ampliers, natural 2-band equalizers and AUX send/return.
In a word, it is ideally suited for live sound applications, small venues applications, live recording and many
other musical purposes.
In order to get the best performances from your MEDIA ONE, we recommend you to thoroughly read this Owner‘s Manual before installation and operation.

Quick start
Check the AC voltage available in your country before connecting your MEDIA ONE to the AC socket. 1.
Ensure that the main power switch is turned off before connecting the MEDIA ONE to the AC socket. 2.
Ensure also that all input and output controls are turned down. This will avoid damage to your speakers as
well as excessive noise.
Connect a pair of passive speakers to your MEDIA ONE speaker connector (¼-inch jack socket). You can 3.
connect a pair of active speakers directly to your MEDIA ONE left and right main output (¼-inch jack sock-
ets).
Complete these connections as illustrated in the gure below. 4.
Before disconnecting the MEDIA ONE always turn off the power switch. 5.
Do not use solvents to clean your MEDIA ONE. A dry and clean cloth will be OK.6.

Control elements
Mono input channels (CH1 to CH4)

The mono input channels 1 to 4 are equipped with balanced combo XLR/¼-inch connectors
(MIC IN and LINE IN). Use the XLR (MIC IN) socket to connect a low impedance microphone
or another low level signal. Use the ¼-inch jack socket (LINE IN) to connect either a microphone or a line level instrument such as a synthesizer, drum machine, effect processor.
Stereo input channel (CH5/6)

The input channels 5 and 6 are organised as stereo pair and provide ¼-inch jack sockets. If
you connect only the left jack socket, the input will operate in mono mode, that is the mono signal will appear on both input channels. You can use these inputs with a stereo keyboard, drum
machine, etc.
MIC/LINE switch

Use this switch to select the input signal. When using the XLR socket, switch to the MIC position. When using the ¼-inch jack socket, switch to the LINE position.
MP3/LINE switch

Use this switch to select the signal source for the channel 5/6 path. Switch to the MP3 position to use the signal from MP3 IN, switch to the position LINE to use the signal from the ¼-inch jack socket.
Level control

This control is used to adjust the overall level of the respective channel. The adjustable range is from –∞ to
+10 dB.
PAN/BAL control

The PANORAMA (or balance) control is used to adjust the stereo image of the signal. Keep this control in centre position and your signal will be positioned in the middle of the stage. Turn this control fully counter clockwise and the signal will be present only on the left speaker and vice versa.
DSP/FX control

This control is congured as POST-FADER, so the audio signal will be affected by the channel level control.
Via the FX SEND socket, the AUX1 signal can be sent to an external effect device.

Equalizer
Your MEDIA ONE features a 2-band equalizer allowing you to adjust the high and low frequencies separately
on each mono channel. Both bands provide up to +15 dB of boost or cut.
HI •

This is the treble control. You can use it to get rid of high-frequency noises or to boost the sound of cymbals or
the high harmonics of the human voice. The gain range goes from –15 dB to +15 dB with a centre frequency of
12 kHz.
LOW •

This is the bass control. It is used to boost male voice or kick-drum and bass guitar. Your system will sound
much bigger than what it is. The gain range goes from –15 dB to +15 dB with a centre frequency of 80 Hz.

Use this knob to select the effect you wish to perform. There are 16 options available: WARM HALL, BRIGHT

This LED shows that the unit is turned on.
Master level control 14
This control is used to adjust the overall volume of the main mix output and of the signal output to the pre-amplier.
Master level LED 15
The 4-segment LED meter is used to indicate the master output level. When the red LED lights, that means
that the MIX OUT reaches +10 dB, or the start of the compressor of the built-in AMP.
FX RETURNS 16
Use the ¼-inch stereo jack socket to return the sound of an effect unit to the main mix. You can also use it as
an extra auxiliary stereo input.
FX RET control 17
This control is used to control the volume of the processed signal sent to the main mix bus in a range from –∞
to +10 dB.
FX SEND 18
This ¼-inch jack socket is used to send out the signals from the AUX bus.
CD/TAPE IN 19
Use these input RCA jack sockets to connect a CD player, tape, DAT, iPOD or any other line-level source.

CD/TAPE level control 20
This knob controls the level of the signal sent from CD/TAPE IN in a range from –∞ to +10 dB.
CD/TAPE OUT 21
Use these RCA jack sockets to route the main mix signal a tape or DAT recorder.
PHONES 22
This socket can be used to send the main mix signal to a pair of headphones.
SPK OUT 23
The left and right speaker jack sockets output the main signal from the internal power amplier and are used to
connect passive speakers.

Note: The total impedance of the connected speaker system must be between 4 and 8 Ω. Do not connect anything else than speakers to these jack sockets.
