Bluetooth Function:
1. Parent speaker must be plugged
into AC power to use the bluetooth
function. When plugged in, the red
indicator light will flash.
2. To pair, turn Bluetooth to “ON” on
your bluetooth device. Find “Theater
Solutions Rock”, press connect.
3. Once device is connected
successfully, the speaker will
announce “Done” the first time and
the blue indicator light will come on.
You can now control the music from
your device.
When repeat pairing the speaker will
announce “bluetooth paired”.
4. If speakers are using an
external device, like a receiver and
using bluetooth simultaneously,
when bluetooth is disconnected or
paused, the speakers will automatically become passive and play
sound from the external device.
Bluetooth will override your receiveruntil disconnected.
5. To disconnect, turn Bluetooth off
on your device. This option will
remember the speakers for future
use. To disconnect completely press
“forget” on your bluetooth device.
Connections:
This pair of speakers can be used as Bluetooth speakers or Passive Speakers.
If only using for bluetooth, simply plug in the Parent speaker using the AC
adapter and connect the output wire of the Parent speaker to the input wire of
the Child speaker and follow bluetooth function instructions.
If you want to use your speakers passively, with a receiver, you must connect the
Parent speaker input wire to the speaker out connection of the receiver. The
Parent speaker output wire will still connect to the Child speaker input wire.
Please make sure the speakers and any
external devices are disconnected from power
before wiring the speakers. Place your speak-
ers in your desired area and measure the
distance between the each speaker and the
receiver To wire your system, use good quality
CL3 burial grade cable with polarity coding
(usually identified with a marking on the cable.)
Use 16 gauge speaker wire for up to 40 ft
distances and 14 gauge speaker wire for longer
than 40 ft. distances. Make sure to connect
positive lead (+/ red) to positive terminal and negative lead (- / black) to negative
terminal on the external device. Be sure to leave enough slack to bury wires
under ground if applicable. Use precaution to protect the connections against
weather and other elements by covering with a generous amount of electrical
tape.
Note: Avoid routing the speaker wire near electrical wires and do not nail or
staple speaker wire.
Outdoor Installation:
Wiring the Speakers:
When choosing a place for your speakers, try to choose an area on a higher
surface to avoid the speaker sitting in water build up and to maximize drainage
around the speaker. Place it on a flat surface, not tilted, so no water can build up
underneath. In the winter months or during long periods without use, it is a good
idea to bring indoors and protect buried wires to maximize speaker life.
Note:Submerging speakers in water (pool or jacuzzi) will cease function and void
your speaker’s warranty.
