Yourvehicle is equipped with the universalcar kit UNI VoiceTalkDSP. This givesyou the optionof making a
phone callby diallinga name ornumber ofyour choice usinga spokenvoice command.
The hands-free kit uses a universal central control unit, which means only the phone cradle and not the
complete car kit needs to be changed when using another phone. Please notice, that some mobile
telephones willnot support the VoiceDial functions ofthis hands-free kit. Inthe Internet, sideof www.thb.de,
there is an exact listing, which mobile phones / cradles are working without restriction of any kind with this
hands-free kit. Youfind detailed information for this topicunder the product specifications of UNIVoiceTalk
DSP andTake&Talk of UNI System 8.
To help you enjoy all the features of your new hands-free unit, please read this owners manual carefully
and keep it as a reference in your vehicle.
If you have any questions concerning operation of the unit, which are not answered in this manual, please

Note: Asecond incoming or outgoingcall cannot be connectedwith these keys, thismust be done manually
with theappropriate keys onyour mobile phone. Withthe telephone instand-by mode, a simplepress of the
VoiceDial-key will activate the speechcontrol system. Youwill hear a short controlsignal and the dialog with
the VoiceDial kit can begin.
Some mobilephones will activatea delay functionif the telephonenumber you arecalling is engaged.If the
command is used during this delay period, the hands free kit will verify this command with,

alert you if this function is not possible. In this

Important instructions
Please speak normally and clearly: Every digit of the telephone number must be spoken individually,
but withoutinterspersing the digitswith artificial pauses. Thesystem will work best,when the telephone
number isspoken inblocks of threeto fivedigits.
E.g.:
You enter the digit block by saying “Zero-one-nine-zero” and after a short pause the hands free car kit
will repeat each digit and will then wait for you to speak the next digit or block of digits required for the
telephone number. Should you enterthe number by saying “Zero-one-ninety”,the hands-free kit will not
recognise thiscommand.
Making a mistake while dialling a number or name, or the hands-free car kit did not understand you
correctly,use the command “Cancel” toend theentry session immediately.
