Safety guide

In this part of the Texas Off-Roader user manual you will be informed about safety
guidelines for the use of your Texas Off-Roader.
Always follow the recommended age limit.

A child under the age of 16 should never ride a
Texas Off-Roader with an
engine larger than 90 cc.
Never let a child under the age of 16 ride a Texas Off-Roader without the
supervision of adults, and never let a child ride Texas Off
-Roader if he/she doesn t
possess the necessary ability in o
rder to ride it safely.
Never ride your Texas Off
-Roader, and never supervise children riding Texas OffRoader under the influence of alcohol and drugs. Even medicine with or without
prescription can have side effects that resemble the influence of alcoho
l or drugs.
These side effects can affect the necessary skills to ride Texas Off-Roader safely
and to keep an eye on the children.
Draw attention to tiredness. You become more tired when you ride a Texas Off
-
Roader than when you drive a car, that is why i
t is important to remember that
tiredness influences your ability to control the vehicle.
SAFETY EQUIPMENT:
When you ride your Texas Off
-Roader it is important that you wear safety equipment. The
equipment includes safety helmet, gloves, boots, trouser
s, long-sleeved shirt or jacket and
goggles.
Gloves:
Proper driving gloves ensure that your hands will not become cold, tired and sore.
They will also provide protection in case of a fall. Motor-cross gloves, which are padded
above the knuckle will preven
t hits and provide the best combination of protection and
comfort.
Boots:
The recommended protection footwear is a pair of strong, motor-cross boots, which
can protect your feet, ankles and legs. Low heels are recommended so that your feet won t
slide on
the footplate.
Shirt and trousers:
In order to protect your skin against abrasion and other wounds, you
always have to wear a long
-sleeved shirt or jacket and trousers with long legs. This is a
minimum demand, but if you want to make further protection,
we recommend you to use
motor-cross clothing, e.g. motor
-cross trousers with kneepads, long-
sleeved shirt/jacket
with breast/shoulder protection.
Helmet:
A protection helmet to protect your head is the most important equipment
when you use your Texas Off-Roader.
A helmet will prevent serious wounds on your
head. When you choose a helmet, it has to fit your head and it has to be fastened safely. A
full
