-Ifan outside antenna or cable system is connected to the product, be sure the antenna or cable system is grounded so as to provide some protection against voltage surges and built-up static charges. Below diagram provides information with regard to proper grounding of the mast and supporting structure, grounding of the lead-in wire to an antenna discharge unit, size of grounding conductors, location of antenna-discharge unit, connection to grounding electrodes, and requirements for theg rounding electrode. See Figure 1.
- For added protection for this product during a lightning storm, or when it is left unattended and unused for long periods of time, unplug it from the wall outlet and disconnect the antenna or cable system.This will prevent damage to the product due to lightning and power-line surges.
- An outside antenna system should not be located in the vicinity of overhead power lines or other electric light or power circuits, or where it can fall into such power lines or other electric light or power circuits. When installing an outside antenna system, extreme care should be taken to keep from touching power lines or circuits as contact with them might be fatal.
- Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or integral convenience receptacles a s this can result in a risk of fire or electric shock.
- Never push objects of any kind into this product through openings as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short-out parts that could result in a fire or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the product.

No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus.
Don’t use the apparatus in tropical climates.
Where the mains plug is used as the disconnect device, the disconnect device shall remain readily operable.
The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that no objects filled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.
Attention should be drawn to the environmental aspects of battery disposal. Don’t throw used batteries in dustbin. Please contact your retailer in order to protect the environment.

Angle
Recorded ontosome DVD discsare scenes whichhave been simultaneouslyshot from anumber of different angles (i.e. The same scene isshot from thefrom, left sideand right sideetc.). With such discs, theANGLE button can be used toview the scenefrom different angles.
Chapter Number
These numbersare recorded onDVD discs, A title is subdivided into many sections. Each ofthem is number andspecific parts ofvideo presentations canbe searched quicklyusing these numbers.
DVD disc
This refersto a high-densityoptical disc onwhich high qualitypictures and soundhave been recorded by meansof digital signals.Incorporating a newvideo compression technology(MPEG2) and high­density recordingtechnology, DVD enables full-motion video tobe recorded overlong periods oftime (for instance,a whole moviecan be recorded).
Subtitles
These arethe printed linesappearing at thebottom of thescreen which translateor transcribe the dialogue. They are recorded on DVD discs and upto 32 languages.
PBC
The languageindicates on TV screen to imply operation or disc information.

Time
This indicatesthe play timeelapsed from thestart of adisc or atitle. It canbe used tofind a specific scene quickly(it may notwork with somediscs).
Title Number
These numbersare recorded onDVD discs. Whena disc containstwo or moremovies, these movies are numberedas title1, title2,etc.
Track Number
These numbersare assigned tothe tracks whichare recorded onaudio CDS. They enable specific tracks tobe located quickly. RAW The originalDTS, AC-3 signals non-decoded. If userschoose RAW as audiosetting, they mustconnect a decoderto decode thoseoriginal audio signals.

Hold the disc by the edge so the surface will not be soiled with fingerprints. Fingerprints, dirt and scratches can cause skipping and distortion. Do not use record cleaning sprays, benzene, thinner. Static electricityprevention liquids orany other solvent.Be careful notto drop orbend the disc.Do not try toclose the disctray when discis not installedproperly. Be sure to store thedisc in itsexclusive case whennot in use.
Wipe gentlywith a soft,damp (water only)cloth. Condensation

OPERATION
TIME
In theplay, you press TIMEand button on the remote control. You can search the disc
based onits title/chapter/track asshown in thefigure. Press TIME button, a search menu will display. Use or button to select the searchitem/time/title/chapter. The selected willbe shown inhighlight. Use numberbutton to selectthe search item/time/title/chapter, and press ENTER button to play.
Note:
For someDVD discs whichcannot be searched,invalid will beappear on TV screen. Input thetime, title andchapter of thedisc to search. For VCDin PBC modeis ON, itcan only searchfor the time.
MENU
Press MENUbutton on remotecontrol when playinga disc, alist of titleson the disc(depends on discs) will bedisplayed on TV monitor. Use thedirection or numberbutton to selectyour preferred itemsthen press ENTERbutton to playas selected.

REPEAT
Press therepeat key tochoose repeat playchapter or title(DVD) and playsingle audio orfull disc (VCD, CD,MP3).
Note: SomeVCD do nothave repeat functionwith PBC ONstate.

OPERATION
PREPARATION BEFORE PLAYING DISC
The optionof display languagecatalogue is presetto English. Pleaserefer to Setupoperation Most functionsare operated byremote control. Eitheroperation of remotecontrol of frontpanel is effective when their buttons indicate the same function.
Preparation
Turn the TV on andselect AVas the TV input. Switch onthe related systempower if theplayer has beenconnected to amplifierequipment etc.
1. ConnectAC power cord toAC outlet.
2. Switchon the power, the displayed LOADING indicates the normal power supply. (Note: the disc
information appearsafter several secondsif there hasdisc after LOADINGdisplayed otherwise appears NODISC).
3. PressOPEN/CLOSE.
4. Placea disc (8cmor 12cm) ontothe tray. (For one-sided disc, positionit with printedtitle side facing
up. Fortwo-sided disc, positionside to beplayback facing down).
5. PressOPEN/CLOSE again toclose disc tray.
6. PressPLAY to playback disc.You mayoperate according toMENU indication afterMENU shows on
screen thenpress ENTER buttonto play back.Some discs mayplay automatically afterloaded.
PLAY
STOP
Press STOP button to stop playing (TV show ). Whenplay back isstopped the“STOP” unit recordsthe point whereSTOP was pressed (resume function). Press PLAY again, andplay will resume fromthis point. PressSTOP button twice, resume function will be cancelled.
PREV/NEXT
Press PREVbutton or NEXTbutton on remote control when playing a disc, a chapter(DVD) or atrack (CD) isskipped backward orforward correspondingly eachtime the buttonis pressed.
REV/FWD
Press REV/FWDbutton on theremote control duringplayback, the discwill be playedin a statusof forward orreverse correspondingly. Forward or Reverse speedis relatively slowat first. Whenpress again, thespeed becomes faster. The more times that you press thebuttons, the fasterthe fast forwardor reverse speedwill be. There are 5 levels of speed available: X2,X4, X8and X16.To return to normal Play, press PLAY button on the player orthe remote control.
Note: Somediscs including MP3disc have nosuch function.
SLOW
Press SLOWbutton on theremote control duringplayback and theunit will enterslow forward status. There are5 speeds available:1/2,1/4,1/6 and 1/8.To return to normal play. Press PLAY button on player or remote controlagain.
Note: Somediscs including MP3disc have nosuch function.
STEP
Press STEPbutton during play, theplayer will enterthe still picturemode. If thebutton is pressed again, thedisc is advancedby one frame(step). When thebutton is keptpressed, consecutive frame advance works.To return to normal play, press PLAY button.
Note: Somediscs do nothave such function.
PAU SE
Press PAUSE key to stop playing and restore playby pressing PLAY key again.
Number (0-9,10+)button
By pressingthe Number (0-9)button, you canaccess directly tothe desired trackor chapters whilea disc isplayed. For track or chapterover 10, press10+ and then0-9 button.
