Instructions
The best location
These speakers are manufactured to resist a variety of weather conditions. However, they are not waterproof, so if you decide to place your speakers outdoors, position them so they are not exposed to the elements. The undersides of most eaves and overhangs provide the best protection for indoor/outdoor loudspeakers.
Like all speakers, these speakers will sound best when placed no more than 2m apart at ear level to the listener. If they are placed more than 2m apart, turn them in toward the centre of the room.
Do not place the speakers within 60cm of a television or computer screen, as these speakers are not video shielded.
Mounting the speakers
If the speakers are to be wall-mounted, make sure the wall is sturdy, solid and can support the weight of the speakers. Find the most suitable location (see the points above), then attach the supplied bracket to the wall using appropriate screws/plugs. After connecting the speakers (see below), attach the speakers to the brackets using the large plastic knobs supplied.
NOTE
: * Never mount a speaker on a wall made of non-reinforced plasterboard
(gyprock). If you are unsure about your set-up, consult a professional contractor.
* If the speakers are to be placed on a bookshelf, they can simply stand on
their base.

Connecting the speakers
The binding post speaker terminals on these speakers will accommodate up to 12-gauge wire. When connecting the speakers, it is very important to observe the correct polarity. So make sure to connect:
* the wire attached to the positive (+) or red
terminal on one component to the positve (+) or red terminal on the corresponding component’s speaker output terminals, and
* the negative (-), black or ground terminal to the
respective negative (-), black or ground terminal on the corresponding unit.
Simply follow the colour, stripe or rib marking that appears on most wires.
