IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
When using electrical products, basic precautions should always be followed including:
1. Read the instructions - All the safety and operating instructions should be read before the product is oper­ated.
2. Retain the instructions - The safety and operating instructions should be retained for future reference.
3. Heed the instructions - All warnings on the product and in the operating instructions should be adhered to.
4. Follow instructions - All operating and user instructions should be followed.
5. Cleaning - Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning. Do not use liquid- or aerosol cleaners. Use
a damp cloth for cleaning.
6. Attachments - Do not use attachments not recommended by the product manufacturer as they may cause hazards.
7. Water and moisture - Do not use this product near water-for example, near a bath tub or wash bowl etc.
8. Accessories - Do not place this product on an unsteady surface. The product may fall, causing serious injury to
people and serious damage to the product. Use only with a stand, bracket, or table recommended by the manu­facturer, or sold with the product. Any mounting of the product should follow the manufacturer’s instructions, and should use a mounting accessory recommended by the manufacturer.
9. Transporting - This product should be moved with care to avoid damage or injury.
10. Ventilation - Slots and openings in the cabinet are provided for ventilation, to ensure reliable operation of the
product and to protect it from overheating. These openings must not be blocked or covered. The openings should never be blocked by placing the product on a bed, sofa, rug, or similar surface. This product should not be placed in a built-in installation such as a bookcase or rack unless proper ventilation is provided or the manufacturer’s instructions have been adhered to.
11. Power Sources - This product should be operated only from the type of power source indicated on the marking label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply in your home, consult your product dealer or local power company. For products intended to operate from battery power, or other sources, refer to the operation instructions.
12. Power - Cord Protection - Power-supply cords should be routed so that they are not likely to be trapped in any way.
13. Main plug - The mains plug is used as a power breaker, therefore the mains plug must be reachable.
14. Lightning - For added protection for this product during a lightning storm, or when it is left unattended and
unused for long periods of time, unplug it from the wall outlet and disconnect the cable system. This will prevent damage to the product due to lightning and power-line surges.
15. Overloading - Do not overload wall outlets, extension cords, or integral convenience receptacles as this can result in a risk of re or electric shock.

16. Object and Liquid Entry - Never push objects of any kind into this product through openings as they may touch dangerous voltage points or short-out parts that could result in a re or electric shock. Never spill liquid of any kind on the product. The apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and no object lled with liquids, such as vases, shall be placed on the apparatus.
18. Servicing - Do not attempt to service this product yourself as opening or removing covers may expose you to dangerous voltage or other hazards. Refer all servicing to qualied service personnel.
19. Damage Requiring Service - Unplug this product from the wall outlet and refer servicing to qualied service personnel under the following conditions: a. If the power-supply cord or plug is damaged. b. If liquid has spilled, or objects have fallen into the product. c. If the product has been exposed to rain or water. d. If the product does not operate normally by following the operating instructions. Adjust only those controls that are covered by the operating instructions, as an improper adjustment of other controls may re­ sult in damage and will often require extensive work by a qualied technician to restore the product to its normal operation. e. If the product has been dropped or damaged in any way, and the product exhibits a distinct change in performance-this indicates a need for service.
20. Replacement Parts - When replacement parts are required, be sure the service technician has used replace­ment parts specied by the manufacturer or have the same characteristics as the original part. Unauthorized substitutions may result in re, electric shock, or other hazards.
21. Safety Check - Upon completion of any service or repairs to this product, ask the service technician to per­form safety checks to determine that the product is in proper operating condition.
22. Heat - The product should be situated away from heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves or other products (including ampliers) that produce heat.

1. Use of controls and adjustments or performance of procedures other than those specied herein may result in hazardous radiation exposure.
2. If this product develops trouble, contact qualied service centres, and do not use the product in defective states.

BEFORE USE
1. Before use, please remove any additional tie downs, foam, etc. that were added to make the item secure while shipping.
2. Choose unit installation location carefully. Avoid placing it in direct sunlight or close to a source of heat. Also avoid locations subject to vibrations and excessive dust, cold or moisture. Keep away from sources that hum, such as transformers or motors.
3. Do not open the cabinet as this might result in damage to the circuitry or electrical shock, if a foreign object should get into the set, contact your dealer.
4. When removing the power plug from the wall outlet, always pull directly on the plug, never pull the cord.
5. Do not attempt to clean the unit with chemical solvents as this might damage the nish. Use a clean, dry cloth.
6. In order to shut o the power to this product completely, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet. Be sure to unplug the unit if you do not intend to use it for an extended period of time, such as a vacation.
7. Keep this manual in a safe place for future reference.
TAPE HEADS MAINTENANCE
Do not store tapes in the following places:
1. On top of heaters, exposed to direct sunlight or in any other places with high temperatures.
2. Near speakers, on TV sets or ampliers or where they would be exposed to strong magnetic elds.
3. Where humidity is high and in dirty, dusty places.
4. Avoid dropping or subjecting cassettes to excessive shocks.
5. As C-120 tapes are physically weak and could become entangled in the transport mechanism, do not use them.
Loading a Cassette Tape:
1. Use your nger or a pencil to turn the cassette hub and take up any slack tape. Note: Avoid touching the tape. Fingerprints attract dust and dirt.
2. Load the cassette tape into the cassette slot.
Cleaning
Please note that neither cleaning tape or uid is included When the sound is distorted or faint, please use a special cleaning tape to thoroughly clean the oxides and dust deposition on the head, to maintain smooth head and extend the life of the head.
1. Drop the cleanser on the cotton lm in the tape. (See the illustration.)
2. Load the cleaning tape into the cassette slot. Cleaning will automatically begin. Take out the cleaning tape­maybe 20 seconds later.

CONNECTIONS
Caution:
Switch o the power to all equipment before making connections.
Read the instructions of each component you intend to use with this unit.
Be sure to insert each plug securely. To prevent hum and noise, avoid bundling the signal interconnection
cables together with the AC power cord.
Remote control button specication: A LINE OUT Socket
Connect the LINE OUT cable into the auxiliary input (AUX) socket on your home amplier device, matching the colours of proper cable. B AC Power Cord Plug this power cord into an AC wall socket.

UnIt FUnCtIons
1 DISPLAY 2 USB BUTTON 3 SD/MMC BUTTON 4 AUX BUTTON Press the AUX button and select AUX to listen to the external source connected to the AUX IN socket. 5 TAPE BUTTON Press the TAPE button to play the cassette. 6 FF/EJECT BUTTON Press FF/EJECT button half-way to Fast Forward the Tape. Press FF/EJECT button lightly and playback will resume. Press FF/EJECT all the way to end playback and eject Tape. 7 DELETE BUTTON Press DELETE button to delete tracks. Long press DELETE button and press skip button, you can select delete one, delete dir, delete all and format. 8 REC BUTTON Use this button to enter record pause mode. Long press this button and press skip button, you can select record quality: 96 kbps, 128 kbps and 256 kbps. 9 POWER LED INDICATOR When the unit is switched on, power indicator will light up. 10 INFRARED RECEIVER When operating the remote control unit, point it towards the infrared receiver. 11 PHONE SOCKET For private listening, please reduce the volume level to minimum at rst. Then connect your earphone or headphone cord into the PHONES socket, and adjust the volume by turning the VOLUME knob. The sound from speaker will be muted while the headphones are plugged in. 12 AUX IN SOCKET Use the AUX IN Socket to listen to an external source. 13 USB SLOT
Connect your USB device to the USB slot.

14 Fast reverse Press the fast reverse button once to go back to the start of the current track. Press the fast reverse button twice to go back to the start of the previous track.
15 Fast forward Press the fast forward button once to go to the start of the next track.
16 SD/MMC SLOT Connect your SD/MMC card into this slot.
17 STOP Use this button to stop playback or cancel recording.
18 PLAY/PAUSE Use this button to start playback/pause.
19 CASSETTE SLOT 20 REPEAT BUTTON Press repeatedly to cycle between repeat one, repeat all, random and cancel. 21 VOLUME ON/OFF KNOB Turn this knob to switch on the unit and adjust the volume.
reMote ControL UnIt
Remote Control Unit can operate the unit from a distance. When operating the remote control unit, point the remote control towards the front panel of the unit.
Even if the remote control unit is operated within the eective range, remote control opera-
tion may be impossible or intermittent if there are any obstacles between the unit and the remote control.
If the remote control unit is operated near other appliances which generate infrared rays, or
if other remote control devices using infrared rays are used near the unit, it may operate incorrectly. Conversely, the other appliances may operate incorrectly.
