Danger to hearing!
Loud noise may lead to hearing loss.
Very high noise pressure may be emitted especially if a device is activated and set to full volume. This may have psychological consequences and also cause physical injury. Children and pets are particularly at risk.
• Set the volume control of your signal source to a low
setting.
• When the volume is set high, always keep a certain
distance from the unit and never place your ear directly on the speaker.
• To avoid damage to health, avoid extended listening at
high volume.

Unpacking and setup
Carefully open the boxes, carefully lift out the speakers with the EPE foam parts and remove the foam parts without touching the diaphragms.
Connector cables
The T 110 D series is delivered without a con-
nector cable due to the variety of different customer needs. You can fi nd suitable cables in our webshop (www.teufel.de ) in the “Accessories” area.
Check to be sure
• Check that all items have been delivered and that nothing is damaged.
• If the delivery is incomplete or you fi nd damage sustained in transit, do not operate the unit but contact our service department (see page 3).
Removing the protective grids
You can remove the protective grids from the speakers by carefully reaching behind the protective grid and slowly pulling it off to the front.
When reattaching the grids, ensure that the installation pins slide into the corresponding holes on the speaker.
Location tips
• Select a stable, level base.
• Make sure that the environment is clean and free from dust.
• Avoid placing the unit close to sources of heat or in direct sunlight.
• Arrange the connector cables so that they do not pose a trip hazard.
• Do not place any heavy objects on the cables or the speakers.

The following data concern an “ideal home cinema”, in which the listener sits in a central position at a suffi cient distance in front of the speakers (see the adjacent graphic) and no objects (tables or the like) are located in between. Unfortunately, the room, furnishings or other circumstances do not always allow for optimum arrangement.
Modern amplifi ers offer a variety of possibilities for electronically compensating losses associated with the arrangement. The following general rule applies: You can always experiment on what works best in your listening room in terms of sound and appearance based on our recommendations. Let your ears (and eyes) be the judge!

Possible arrangements for rear speakers
There are two possible arrangements for these speakers:
Normally, they are set up or hung to the side of the listener at head level (140 to 210 cm). In the process, the rear speakers are switched to dipole mode and emit sound to the front and back. The distance to the rear wall should be no less than 10 cm.
The second arrangement possibility is suitable for narrow rooms. In this case, the rear speakers are placed at a height of 140 to 210 cm behind the listener and situated at a 45 degree angle. This way, the speakers project sound towards the walls and produce the desired spatial diffusion in dipole mode. The distance to the walls should also be not less than 10 cm in this case.
Center speaker
• Place the center speaker in a central position under or next to the screen.
Front speakers
• The front speakers are set up to the right and left of the screen.
• They should be in line with the center speaker and form an equilateral triangle with the listener – the so-called stereo triangle (distance from the listener = distance between the speakers).
• The speakers should project sound directly into the room or slightly towards the listener.
Subwoofer
• The location of the subwoofer can be freely selected and does not infl uence the other speakers. A location between the front speakers is often ideal.

speaker. These cables should be high-quality doublewire speaker cable with marked strands. A small tip: Label the cables on the receiver side – This will help when taking down and setting up the receiver.
on the back side of each speaker. Here you can connect the speaker cables directly or with pin plugs. We only describe the direct connection in these instructions.
Make sure the polarity is correct!
Connect the like-coloured terminals with one an-
other. Otherwise, the sound quality will suffer. The speaker connections of your AV receiver should be similarly marked. The strands of the speaker cables are marked with different colours, shapes or labels.
1. Split the single wire on both ends up to approx. 30 mm and remove approx. 10 mm of the insulation on each single wire. Twist the single wire so that no strands are protruding.
2. Turn the connector terminal counterclockwise until loose. Run the stripped cable into the hole that is now visible. Turn the terminal clockwise until closed. The cable has now been clamped into place.
3. Connect the other end of the speaker cable to the front speaker outputs of your amplifi er. You can fi nd information on this in the corresponding operating instructions.
Care and cleaning
The veneered surfaces of our speakers have a protective surface coat, which eliminates the need for wood polish.
• You can best remove dust or small amounts of dirt with a dry, smooth leather cloth.
• Rub off stubborn dirt with a damp cloth. Make sure that no liquids penetrate the speakers.
• Then immediately wipe the surfaces dry using a soft cloth and without applying pressure.
Attention
• If possible only use lukewarm, plain water without any

Protecting the environment
Disposal of the unit
Used units must not be disposed of with household waste!
If the unit is no longer operational, every consumer is required by law to dispose of used devices separate from household waste,
e. g. at a collection point run by the communal authority
borough. In this way, used devices can be recycled and waste materials disposed of in an environmentally friendly manner. For this reason, electrical equipment is labelled with the displayed symbol.
