Danger to hearing!
Loud noise may lead to hearing loss.
Particularly if a device is activated and set to
full volume, it may emit very high sound pressure levels
unexpectedly. This may have psychological consequences and also cause physical injury. Children and pets are
particularly at risk.
• Set your signal source unit volume control to a low
setting.
• When the volume is set high, always keep a certain
distance from the unit and never place your ear directly
on the speaker.
• To avoid damage to health, avoid extended listening at
high volume.

Unpacking and setup
Carefully open the boxes, carefully remove the speaker
with the EPE foam parts from the box and remove the
foam parts without touching the diaphragms.
Connector cables
The T 110 C series is delivered without con-
nector cables due to the variety of different
customer needs. You can fi nd suitable cables in our
webshop (www.teufelaudio.com ) in the “Accessories”
area.
Check to be sure
• Check that all items have been delivered and that nothing is damaged.
• If the delivery is incomplete or you fi nd damage sustained in transit, do not operate the unit but contact our
service department (see page 3).
Removing the protective grid
You can remove the protective grid from the speaker by
carefully reaching behind the protective grid and slowly
pulling it off to the front.
When reattaching the grid, ensure that the installation
pins slide exactly into the corresponding holes on the
speaker.
Location tips
• Select a stable, level base.
• Make sure that the environment is clean and free from
dust.
• Avoid placing the unit close to sources of heat or in
direct sunlight.
• Arrange the connector cables so that they do not pose
a trip hazard.
• Do not place any heavy objects on the cables or the
speaker.

Center speaker
• Place the T 110 C center speaker in a central position
directly under the screen or ideally on a circular arc
that is slightly curved towards the screen.
Front speakers
• The front speakers are set up to the right and left of the
screen.
• They should be roughly in line with the center speaker
and form an equilateral triangle with the listener – the
so-called stereo triangle (distance from the listener =
distance between the speakers).
• The speakers should project sound directly into the
room or slightly towards the listener.

Front
The following data concern an “ideal home cinema”,
in which the listener sits in a central position at a suffi cient distance in front of the speakers (see the adjacent
graphic) and no objects (tables or the like) are located
in between. Unfortunately, the room, furnishings or other
circumstances do not always allow for optimum arrangement.
Modern amplifi ers offer a variety of possibilities for
electronically compensating losses associated with the
arrangement. The following general rule applies: You can
always experiment on what works best in your listening
room in terms of sound and appearance based on our
recommendations. Let your ears (and eyes) be the judge!
Rear speakers
• The rear speakers are set up or hung next to (a) or
behind (b) the listener at a height of 1.20 m to 2.10 m.
• There should be at a distance of at least 100 cm to the
listener.
Subwoofer
• The location of the subwoofer can be freely selected
and does not infl uence the other speakers. However,
do not place it in the corner of the room as this may
result in irregular frequency overloads. A location
between the front speakers is often ideal.

on the back side of the speaker. Here you can connect
the speaker cables directly or using pin plugs. We only
describe the direct connection in these instructions.
Make sure the polarity is correct!
Connect the like-coloured terminals with one an-
other. Otherwise, the sound quality will suffer.
The speaker connections of your AV receiver should be
marked similarly. The strands of the speaker cables are
marked with different colours, shapes or labels.

each cord. Twist the
single wire so that
no strands are protruding.
2. Turn the connector terminal
counterclockwise until loose.
Run the stripped cable end into
the hole that is now visible.
Turn the terminal clockwise
until closed. The cable has now
been clamped into place.
3. Connect the other end of the speaker cable to the front
speaker outputs of your amplifi er. You can fi nd notes
on this in the corresponding operating instructions.

Care and cleaning
The veneered surfaces of our speaker have a protective
surface coat, which eliminates the need for wood polish.
• You can best remove dust or small amounts of dirt with
a dry, smooth leather cloth.
• Rub off stubborn dirt with a damp cloth. Make sure
that no liquids penetrate the speaker.
• Then immediately wipe the surfaces dry using a soft
cloth and without applying pressure.
