Preparations
Setup
To be able to integrate Teufel Streaming products with Raumfeld technology in your network and to ensure smooth operation, we recommend an up-to-date, high performance router with a broadband Internet connection.
Make sure that the Wi-Fi router is active, has the latest firmware and is able to access the Internet.
To the extent possible, the router should be positioned in the middle of your home in order to ensure an adequate Wi-Fi signal throughout your home.
• Set up the Teufel Streamer in the desired location and connect it to the mains supply with the mains adapter.
• If desired, connect your peripheral devices.
– Digital external player:
Via
TOSLINK cable to OPT IN (13).
– Analogue external player: Via
RCA cable to LINE IN (15).
– Digital amplifier: Via TOSLINK
cable to OPT OUT (14).
– Analogue amplifier:
Via RCA cable
to LINE OUT (16).
The device must be switched on (LEDs light up)
so that the signal is played back.
To switch to LINE IN or OPT IN, tap the control button (8).
If there is an optical and analogue signal at the same time, the optical signal will have priority.

• Have the Wi-Fi password for your router ready.
• Load the TEUFEL RAUMFELD APP from the Play Store/App Store.
• Once you have started the app, the setup wizard will guide you through the setup process.
• You can find more information about setting up your Teufel streaming system at

Operation
Standby
The Teufel Streamer switches to standby mode after a few minutes of inactivity have elapsed. The timespan leading up to the beginning of the standby mode can be configured in the settings menu within the app. To manually send the device into standby mode, simply hold down the play/pause button (6) for about 2 seconds.
Preset buttons
Your
Teufel Streamer
has 3 program-
mable
preset buttons(5). They allow you to access your favourite radio station, a playlist or any other music with just the push of a button.
Programming preset buttons
1. Make sure that the Teufel Streamer
is operational.
2. Use the Teufel Raumfeld app
to play any music on your Teufel Streamer (e.g. a radio station, an album, a playlist or all tracks of an artist).
3. As soon as the music is played
back, push a preset button and hold it until you hear a signal tone. The played back music will be saved for this preset button.
Accessing saved content
• Tap the preset button to access saved music with just the push of a button and to play it back on the Teufel Streamer.
Control button
The control button (8) is configured by factory default so that the Teufel Streamer switches to the OPT IN and LINE IN inputs when you push the button. OPT IN has priority over LINE IN. With the Teufel Raumfeld app, you can also assign other functions to the control button. For a detailed description of the available functions as well as instructions on how to assign functions to buttons visit:
http://manual.teufelaudio.com/ controlbutton.
Spotify Connect
With Spotify Connect, you can play music on your mobile, tablet or PC on your Teufel Streamer via the Spotify app. Please note that you will require Spotify Premium to use Connect.
1. Connect yourTeufel Streamerto your wifi network.
2. Open up the Spotify app on your phone, tablet or laptopusing the same wifi network.

3. Play a song and select “Devices Available”.
4. Select yourTeufel Streamerand start listening.
Connecting via Bluetooth
®
You can connect compatible devices such as most smartphones and tablets to your Teufel Streamer via Bluetooth® (pairing). The sound of the smart device is then played by the Teufel Streamer.
1. Turn on the Bluetooth® function on your smart device.
2. Tap the Bluetooth pairing button (17) on the back side of the device. The Bluetooth LED in the button will now blink until pairing is complete (no more than 60 seconds).
3. Let your smartphone search for Bluetooth® devices (you can find more information in the user manual of your smart device). After the search run, the “Teufel Streamer”
should also be present in the list of detected devices.
4. Select “Teufel Streamer” from the list of detected devices. If your smart device requires the entry of a PIN code, enter the PIN code “0000” set by factory default.
5. Pairing is now complete and the smart device is linked to the Teufel Streamer. The Teufel Streamer will now play back all sounds that would otherwise be played by your smart device.
• To terminate the Bluetooth® connection, switch the Bluetooth® function on your smart device off.

Troubleshooting
The following advice should help you to solve problems. If this does not work, our online documentation will provide help:
http://manual.teufelaudio.com
Problem Possible cause/solution
The LEDs do not illuminate.
Make sure that power is supplied. Check to make sure that the mains adapter/cord is securely seated.
Setup fails. Restart your router and your smartphone or tablet.
Set up the device near your router and switch any repeaters off for the duration of the setup process. If your router provides guest access, do not use it to connect your Teufel streaming devices.
Read the notes in our online documentation at:
http://manual.teufelaudio.com/setup.
Music playback skips or is interrupted.
It is possible that one or more Teufel device(s) do not have a Wi-Fi signal or it is too weak.
Place the devices closer to the router, try alternative setup locations or connect devices, which are set up far away, with an Ethernet cable. In the event of problems with multiroom systems with three or more devices, we recommend connecting at least one of the devices with an Ethernet cable and setting it as the host.
As a test, refrain from using repeaters. If applicable, use an audio stream with low resolution.
Also visit the website of the router manufacturer for tips on how to improve your Wi-Fi.
You can find more information in our online documentation:

You can find more information in our online documentation:
