Frequently Asked Questions
Access to a full list of frequently asked questions and a detailed online manual is available online at: http://manual.raumfeld.com
Question 1: Music playback constantly stops. What are possible causes?
ĕ Should music playback be constantly interrupted, there is probably a connection problem between the wireless playback device and your Raumfeld Base or personal access point. You can see an overview of the signal strength of all Raumfeld devices within your network by opening “Settings > Network > Network Analysis.” A manual for improving the signal strength can be found in the Raumfeld online manual in chapter “Network Analysis.” Problems can also appear when using your existing access point, specifically when there is not enough bandwidth available. Make sure when you are listening to music with Raumfeld not to transfer large files over your home WLAN.
Question 2: In which case should I connect my players to my personal access point rather than the Raumfeld Base?
ĕ In a system with Raumfeld Base your Raumfeld devices are connected with the Base’s wireless network by default. However, in some cases it may be useful to connect one or more devices with your existing, personal access point:
1. The signal of your personal access point is stronger than the Base‘s signal throughout your whole house, e.g. the signal of the personal access point is repeated with a wlan repeater. In this case we suggest to connect all
Raumfeld devices with your personal access point.
2. In one specific room, the signal of your personal access point is stronger than the Base‘s signal. In this case the playback device located in that room should be connected with your personal access point.
3. You are utilising different access points in your house that are all connected to the same network (e.g. Devolo dLAN® with multiple access points). Each Raumfeld device should be connected to the access point with the strongest signal in that room. In all cases it is required that your Raumfeld Base is connected to your network router.
ĕ Directions regarding the connection of Raumfeld devices in other networks can be found in our online manual under the chapter “Setup”.
Question 3: My Raumfeld One isn‘t shown on my Controller under „Line In“. What can I do?
ĕ In order to be shown on the Controller under the application Line In, Raumfeld Speakers, Connectors and Raumfeld One need to be set to a mode that allows streaming their analogue input signal to other rooms. In short, the following preconditions need to be met:
1. The device has to be set up and connected to the Raumfeld system (both LEDs permanently lid).
2. The device is operated in streaming mode (see the online manual for further instructions).

Frequently Asked Questions
Question 4: My USB storage is not recognized as a music resource. What are possible causes?
ĕ USB storage will only be integrated as a music resource if it is connected to the host of your Raumfeld System. Should your system contain a Raumfeld Base, the Base is the host by default. For systems without a Raumfeld Base you can set the host device yourself under “Settings > Network > Host Configuration”. Please also note that a USB HDD connected to a Raumfeld player must have an independent power supply. For the Base, all kinds of USB HDD are supported.
