Safety Notes
Danger
Danger of electric shock!
Faulty installation of electrical equipment or
mains voltage which is too high can cause elec-
tric shocks.
• The device is suitable for connection to a mains voltage
of 220 V–240 V ~ / 50 Hz only.
• If the case or mains cable is defective or shows other
signs of visible damage, disconnect the power plug
immediately and do not operate the device.
• If the device emits smoke, smells burnt or produces
unusual sounds, immediately disconnect it from the
mains and do not operate it further.
• The standby button does not disconnect the device
from the power supply. For this reason, connect it to an
easily accessible socket so that you can quickly disconnect it from the mains in the event of faults.
• Never open the device housing.
Repairs may only be carried out by an authorised
specialist workshop. Only parts that match the original
specifi cations may be used. There are electrical and
mechanical parts in this device which are necessary in
order to avoid exposure to sources of danger.
• Do not insert any objects through the vents in the
housing.
• Only use the device indoors.
• Do not operate the device in wet rooms and protect it
from dripping and splashing water.
Make sure that no vases or other liquid-fi lled objects
are located on or near the device in order to prevent
liquid from penetrating the housing. If water or other
debris penetrate the unit, immediately disconnect the
power plug and, if necessary, remove any batteries. Then
send the device to our service address.
• Never touch the mains plug with wet hands.
• Check the device regularly for damage.
Danger
Danger to children!
Children can become trapped in the plastic
wrapping when playing and suffocate.
• Do not allow children to play with the device or the plastic wrapping. There is a danger of suffocation.
• Ensure that children do not remove small parts from the
device or take them off of the device (e.g. The batteries
from the remote control, control knobs or plug adapters). They could swallow the parts and choke.
If, however, a battery is swallowed, immediately consult
a physician together with your child.
• Never allow children to operate electrical equipment
unsupervised.
Danger
Danger to hearing!
Listening at high volumes may lead to hearing
loss.
Particularly when an active subwoofer has been set to
maximum volume and the unit is activated, very high
noise pressure may suddenly be produced. This may have
psychological consequences and also cause physical
injury. Children and pets are particularly at risk.
• Set your signal source device volume control to a low
setting.
• When the volume is set high, always keep a certain dis-
tance from the device and never place your ear directly
on the speaker.
• To avoid damage to health, avoid extended listening at
high volumes.
Danger
Danger of chemical burns!
Leaking battery acid may lead to chemical
burns.
• Do not allow battery acid to come into contact with skin,
eyes or mucous membranes. In the event of contact
with acid, immediately fl ush the applicable areas with
plenty of clean water and consult a physician if necessary.

Danger of explosion!
Lithium batteries can explode if handled im-
properly.
• Never attempt to recharge lithium batteries.
• Only use batteries of the same or equivalent type.
• Never heat or short circuit batteries or rechargeable
batteries, or dispose of them in fi re.
Do not expose batteries and rechargeable batteries to
direct sunlight.

Danger
Danger of injury/damage!
An unsuitable location could lead to damage.
• Never use the device unmounted in vehicles, in
unstable locations, on wobbly tripods or furniture, on
insuffi ciently dimensioned brackets etc. The device
could tip or fall down and cause injury to persons or be
damaged itself.
• Arrange the device so that it cannot be knocked over
accidentally and make sure that the cables do not pose
a trip hazard.
• Do not place the device near sources of heat (e.g. heat-
ers, ovens, other heat generating equipment such as
amplifi ers etc.).
Attention
Fire hazard!
Improper use may lead to damage or fi re.
• Do not place open fl ames such as burning candles or
similar on the device.
• Ensure suffi cient ventilation.
• Do not place the device in direct sunlight.
• Do not cover the vents with curtains, blankets, newspa-
pers or similar. Heat build-up inside the unit can shorten
its lifetime.
Attention
Risk of damage!
Power overload due to lightning strike may damage or destroy the unit.
• If the unit is unattended for a prolonged period (e.g.
when on vacation) or in the event of an incoming storm,
pull the mains plug.
• Leaked batteries may damage the remote control.
• In the event of prolonged absence, remove the batteries
from the remote control.

Setup location
• Select a stable, level base.
• Make sure that the environment is clean and free from
dust.
• Select a location away from heat sources and direct
sunlight.
• Lay the connector cords so that they do not pose a
tripping hazard.
• Do not place any heavy objects on the cable or the
devices.
Connecting the speakers
Use the enclosed cables or an equivalent double-core
speaker wire with a diameter of at least 0.5 mm2 to connect the speakers. You can order corresponding cables in
our webshop (www.teufelaudio.com) in the “Accessories”
area.
On the back side of the CD receiver are the “SPEAKER
OUT” connecting terminals 22 for the “Right” and “Left”
speaker.
The terminals are each marked red (+) and black (-).
Make sure the polarity is correct!
Connect the like coloured terminals. Otherwise,
the sound quality will suffer. The strands of the
speaker single wire are marked with different colours or
shapes.
Split the single wire down to
approx. 30 mm on both ends
and strip approx. 10 mm of
insulation off of each cord.
Twist the single wire so that
no strands are protruding.
The steps for connecting the cables to the speakers
should be described in the user manual of the speakers.
Turn the connector terminal (22) counterclockwise until
loose. Run the stripped cable end into the now visible
hole. Close the terminal by turning it counter-clockwise.
The cable has now been clamped in place.
Subwoofer
You can connect an active subwoofer to the RCA jack 21
“Out • Sub”. Only low frequency audio signals are emitted
at this jack.
Audio output
The audio signal is emitted without tone control at the
RCA jacks 20 “Out • Rec”. You can connect a recording
device (e.g. cassette recorder) here.
Audio inputs
You can connect almost any audio source to the “IN Tape/
AUX 1/DVD” RCA jacks 19 on the back of the unit, i.e.
computer, MP3 player (with/without dock), game console,
television etc. The external player must have an output
with line level. This kind of output is either a stereo RCA
jack or a 3.5 mm jack plug. Connect these units to the
“IN Tape/AUX 1/DVD” connections 21 using appropriate
cables. Cables are available from our online shop (www.
teufelaudio.com) in the “Accessories” section.
There are two other audio inputs on the front side: 3 “AUX
2” with RCA jacks and 4 “Line In” as 3.5 mm jack plug.
Here you can connect an audio source (e.g. MP3 player or
mobile phone) “on the fl y” without having to turn the CD
receiver over.

Antennas
Danger
Risk associated with lightning strike!
If you are using outdoor or roof antennas, be
absolutely sure that the antenna has lightning
protection.
FM antenna
To receive FM stations, connect the antenna to the “FM”
jack 17. This may be a roof/outside antenna, but also a
cable television connection. You will need a coaxial con-
nector cord for this.
If no antenna connection is available
at the installation location, you can
use the enclosed throw-out anten-
na
④. Unwind the throw-out aerial,
push the plug onto the pin in the
“FM” jack 17 and adjust the posi-
tion of the throw-out aerial for best
reception. Now fi xed the antenna in
place with tape.
In order to operate the remote control, you will need two
type AAA or micro batteries with 1.5 Volt (included in the
pack contents).
Inserting batteries
• Push the cover of the battery
compartment on the back of
the remote control in the direction of the arrow and take the
cover off.
• If necessary, remove the old
batteries (please observe the
notes on „Protecting The Environment“ on page 23).
• Insert the batteries in the battery compartment as shown in
the fi gure.
• Place the cover back on the
compartment and push it
closed.
AM/MW antenna
The enclosed antenna
③ receives medium wave (AM/
MW) stations. You can set up this antenna to be free
standing or screw it onto a (cabinet) wall.
Connect the connector cable of the antenna with the jacks
18 “AM” on the back of the CD receiver. Press down the
lever on each of the connector terminals and insert the
end of the cable in the opening next to it. Releasing the
lever will clamp the cable in place.
Mains connection
• Ensure that the mains switch 24 “Power ” on the back
of the device is switched off (“OFF” position).
• Connect the mains cord 23 with a mains socket.
Remote Control
Functionality
The remote control relays the control signals by means of
infrared light. For this, you will have to point the remote
control in the direction of the system. Make sure that the
infrared light is not obstructed by objects.
Fluorescent or energy-saving light bulbs installed in the
vicinity of the unit may impair the function of the remote
control or even make it impossible.

Basic Functions
Activating and deactivating
• Switch your CD receiver on and off with the mains
switch 24 “Power” on the back of the device.
After it has been switched on, the device will be in
standby and the “Power” button 16 will turn red. The
volume is set to medium (-50 db).
• With the “Power” button 16 or 49 “ ”, you switch your
CD receiver to the operational or standby mode.
• If no audio signal is present for a prolonged period, the
device will automatically switch to standby.
Selecting a source
The recently selected audio source is activated once the
device has been switched on.
• Use the button 11 “Source” or 46 “Source ” and 31
“Source ” to switch the source in the following order:
FM (radio FM), AM (radio MW), Aux 1, Tape, DVD, Line
In, Aux 2, CD, USB.
• Use the “BLUETOOTH” button 10 or the “BT” button 37
to select Bluetooth
®
as the source.
The selected source will be shown on the display panel 5
or the Bluetooth information will appear.
Adjusting the volume
• Increasing the volume: Turn the “Volume” control 1
clockwise or push the “Vol+” button 30.
• Decreasing the volume: Turn the “Volume” control 1
counterclockwise or push the “Vol –” button 45.
The display panel 5 will show the selected volume in the
range from -94 dB (quiet) to 0 dB (loud).
Mute
• Use the button 26 “
” to mute the sound.
The message “MUTE ON” will appear on the display
panel 5.
• Turning the sound back on: Push the button 26 “
”again or adjust the volume.
Adjusting the sound
1. Push the “Tone” button 47.
The message “BA” and the set value for the low tones
(bass) from –14 db to +14 db will appear on the display
panel 5.
2. Use the “Volume” control dial 1 or the buttons “Vol –”
45 and “Vol +” 30 to set the bass level to your liking.
3. Push the “Tone” button 47 again.
The message “TR” and the set value for the high tones
from –14 db to +14 will appear on the display panel 5.
4. Use the “Volume” control dial 1 or the buttons “Vol –”
45 and “Vol +” 30 to set the treble level to your liking.
5. The device will return to normal operation after three
seconds of button inactivity.

Adjusting the balance
With the balance, you set the sound level ratio between
the right and left speakers.
1. Push the “Balance” button 48.
The message “L” and the set value for the left channel
will be indicated on the display panel 5 within a range
from –10 db to +10 db.
2. Use the “Volume” control dial 1 or the buttons 45 “Vol
–” and 30 “Vol +” to set the level of the left channel as
desired.
3. Push the “Balance” button 48 again.
The message “R” and the set value for the right channel
will be indicated on the display panel 5 within a range
from –10 db to +10 db.
4. Use the “Volume” control dial 1 or the buttons 45 “Vol
–” and 30 “Vol +” to set the level of the right channel
as desired.
5. The device will return to normal operation after three
seconds of button inactivity.
Radio Playback
Select one of the two radio modes as the source (see
previous page):
FM – Reception of mono and stereo stations from 87.5 to
108 MHz, RDS mode possible
AM – Reception of mono stations from 522 to 1629 kHz
You can choose from 20 station memory slots for each
band (see below).
Setting the radio stations
Use the “Auto” button 40 to switch between the manual and automatic station scan. The message “AUTO” or
“MANUAL” will appear on the display panel 5 briefl y each
time.
Use the buttons 15 or 43 “Tuning +/–” to set the tuning
frequency:
• Automatic: After pushing the button, station scanning
starts in the desired direction until a station with suffi ciently strong transmitting power is found.
• Manual: Every time the button is tapped, the frequency
is increased or decreased by one increment (FM: 0.05
MHz, AM: 9 kHz).

Station memory
Your radio can save 20 stations for each of the two
modes. You can then easily select saved stations at the
touch of a button.
Saving stations manually
• Set the desired station as described above.
• Tap the “MEM” button 39.
The message “TUNED” will fl ash on the display panel.
• Use the buttons 15 or 43 “Tuning” to select the desired
memory slot number or enter it directly with the number
buttons 27.
• Tap the “MEM” button 39 again.
The station has now been saved. The device will return to
normal operation after three seconds of button inactivity.
Saving stations automatically
Hold the “APS” button 38 down for a few seconds to start
the automatic station scan. The device saves the fi rst 20
stations for the mode. The radio will then switch to the
station in memory 1.
Selecting stations from the memory
You can select the saved stations directly with the number
buttons 27. You can access the memory slots with double-digit numbers with the button 28 “10+”.
Or you can consecutively access the memory slots with
the buttons 12 “Station” or 33 “Station +/–”.
Stereo/Mono
FM stations tend to broadcast your programme in stereo
and the message “ST” will appear on the display panel.
Stations with a weak signal may produce disturbing noise.
If this is the case, tap the button 35 “FM ST/M” to switch
to MONO. The notice “ST” will disappear from the display
panel.
Radio data system (RDS)
Radio stations also use the radio data system (RDS) to
transmit further information in addition to the music on
FM. The radio analyses this information in order to e.g.
display the station name on the display panel.
By repeatedly pushing the “Display” button 44, you can
sequentially access the following RDS information on the
display panel:

Station name (PS)
If the set station broadcasts RDS signals, the name of the
station will appear on the display panel after a short time.
Programme type (PTY)
This shows what type of programme is broadcasted (see
the adjacent table). Unfortunately, not all radio stations
use this service.
Time (CT)
The exact time is transmitted once per minute so that the
notice “WAITING CT” appears on the display panel until
the time is received.
Radio text (RT)
Additional information about the programme is transmitted in the radio text. This may be the track and artist of a
song or brief messages.
Searching for PTY
Your CD receiver can search for stations that broadcast a
certain RDS programme type.
• Push the “Search” button 36. The message “PTY
SEARCH” will fl ash on the display panel.
• You can now select one of the adjacent programme
types using the buttons 43 “Tuning +/–”.
• Push the “Search” button 36 again.
If the set station does not transmit the desired programme
type, the search run will start. The automatic search will
stop at the fi rst station which can be received in a suffi cient quality and transmits a programme of the confi gured
type.
If no station is found, the radio will switch back to the previously confi gured station and the message “NO FOUND”
will appear briefl y.

Suitable CDs
• Only use commercially-available CDs carrying one of the
adjacent symbols.
• CDs containing MP3 fi les can also be read.
• Normal CDs with a diameter of 80 and 120 mm can
also be used.
• CDs (CDR, CDRW) burnt on a home system can normally be read but high burn speed or “bad” blank discs can
cause problems. The only solution is trial and error in
this case.
• CDs produced for commercial purposes cannot always
be read.
About handling CDs
Every CD is encased in a durable plastic layer to protect
it against outside infl uences. However, you must always
protect the disc against dirt and scratches.
CD players can compensate minor damages on the CD.
Larger scratches or other damages can cause the disc to
catch or lead to similar errors.

see the notes on the CD sleeve!
Inserting a CD
Attention
Risk of damage!
Do not insert CDs on top of one another. Do not
insert any other objects than CDs.
• Use the button 11 “Source” or 46 “Source
“ and 31
“Source
“ to select “CD” as the source.
• Push the button 6 “
“ or 25 “ ”. The CD tray will
slide out forwards.
• Insert the CD carefully into the depression inside the CD
tray with the printed side facing up.
• Push the button 6 “
” or 25 “ ”. The CD tray will
close and the unit will read the CD. The display panel
will show the message “LOADING” and after a few seconds playback begins automatically.
The playback functions for CD and USB are identical and
are described in the section „CD and MP3 Playback Functions“ on page 17.
Ejecting a CD
• Stop playback by pushing the button 6 “ ” or 42 “
”.
• Push the button 6 “
” or 25 “ ”. The CD tray will
slide out forwards.
• Remove the CD from the CD tray.
• Push the button 6 “
“ or 25 “ ”. The CD tray will
close.

Your new CD receiver can read USB memory sticks with
the specifi cations USB 1.0 and 2.0 and play back the
music fi les saved on them in MP3 format.
USB stands for “universal serial bus”. Every modern
computer has a USB port for connecting a keyboard and
mouse. Originally, USB storage devices were developed to
replace computer diskettes and they enabled the comfortable transport of data. These convenient sticks are now
also used with digital cameras and music players.
Handling mobile storage devices
USB sticks are sensitive electronic devices and must be
handled accordingly. If you do not use your memory, you
should be absolutely sure to close it with a protective case
or cap.
Important
Do not use any storage devices with mechanical
damage or which have fallen in liquid.
Do not expose the storage devices to direct sunlight.
Improper handling may result in data loss! If possible,
create backup copies of your music on your PC.
Inserting a USB stick and playback
• Insert the USB stick into the jack 2 “USB”. The plug only
fi ts the jack in one orientation.
• Use the button 11 “Source” or 46 “Source ” and 31
“Source
” to select “USB” as the source.
• The CD receiver will read the card and playback will
begin.
• If no readable fi les are found on the USB stick, “NO
USB” will appear on the display panel.
The playback functions for CD and USB are identical and
are described in the section „CD and MP3 Playback Functions“ on page 17.
Removing a USB stick
Attention
Risk of damage!
Never remove the USB stick while the CD
receiver is still accessing it! Prior to this, use the
“Source” button 11 to switch to radio mode for example.

Basic Functions
• Pause playback:
Push the button 7 or 32 “ ”.
• Continue playback:
Push the button 7 or 32 “ ” again.
• Play next track:
Tap the button 8 or 41 “ ”.
• Play previous track:
Tap the button 9 or 41 “
”.
• Fast track playback (forward or backwards):
Tap the button 34 “
” / “ ” or push and hold the
button 8 “ ” / 9 “ ”.
Playback occurs with audio; the elapsed time of the
track will appear on the display panel (only if the display
has been set properly, see the next chapter).
Push the button 7 or 32 “ ” to continue normal playback.
• Stopping playback:
Push the button 6 “
” or 42 “ ”.
Display readouts
All tracks on a CD or USB stick are sequentially numbered
by the CD receiver even if they are saved in different
folders.
The total number of the saved tracks appears on the
display when playback is stopped. The current track number as well as the elapsed playing time is shown during
playback.
Additional indicators during MP3 playback (ID3 tags)
When MP3 fi les are played back, additional information
about the current track can be accessed if it is saved as
so-called meta data in addition to the music.
You can display this data by repeatedly pushing the “Display” button 44. The following information appears on the
display every time after you push the button:
• Track number and the elapsed playing time Name of
the song Name of the artist Name of the album
Ticker: e.g. artist, album, track number, fi le type Track
number and elapsed playing time.
Repeat function (Repeat)
Alternate the repeat function with the “Repeat” button
(29); the selected function will appear on the display
panel:
• REP OFF – Repeat function off, normal playback.
• REP I – repeat the current track.
• REP ALL – play all tracks and then start again from the
beginning.
• REP DIR – play back all tracks in the current folder on a
MP3 CD or on a USB stick.

Bluetooth® Mode (Optional)
Selecting the track number directly
In addition to the possibility of browsing through the
tracks with the buttons 41 “ ” or “ ”, you also have
the possibility of selecting a track directly with the number
buttons 27.
• With single-digit track numbers, enter the desired number with the number buttons “1...9”.
You can make your KB 42 Bluetooth-capable with the
optionally available KB 42 Bluetooth module
. You can
then connect compatible Bluetooth devices such as most
smartphones with your KB 42 via Bluetooth® and play
back the audio from your smartphone via the KB 42.
Notice: The KB 42 Bluetooth module
was developed
exclusively for the KB 42 and does not work with other
devices.
The Bluetooth® wireless transmission system has a range
of approximately 10 metres that is limited by walls and
furnishings. If the connection is cut off, the KB 42 will attempt to re-establish a connection until you select another
source.
Bluetooth® options
Depending on the device type, your external player/smartphone may also have a number of Bluetooth® options
such as media playback and call function. Here you can
activate and deactivate the desired options.
You can fi nd more information about the Bluetooth®
options in the user manual of your external player/smartphone.
Connecting the KB 42 Bluetooth module
Your KB 42 features the connector jack 17 for the
KB 42 Bluetooth module
⑦ on the back of the device.
• Insert the KB 42 Bluetooth module there so that the
label “KB 42 Bluetooth Module” is pointing up.
Attention
Only use Bluetooth® in locations where wireless radio
transmission is allowed.
Please keep in mind that the Bluetooth®
behaviour may differ depending on the
external player’s operating system.

• With two and three-digit track numbers, you must
fi rst enter the ten and hundred digit numbers with the
“10+” button 28.
Example: To select the track number 53, you have to push
the “10+” button 28 fi ve times and the number button “3”
once.
Playback will start automatically.

without the KB 42 Bluetooth module and
would like to listen to music via Bluetooth, visit www.teufelaudio.com to subsequently purchase the KB 42 Bluetooth

Pairing
To play the audio of your external player on your KB 42 via
Bluetooth®, you must fi rst connect the devices with each
other. This is called “Pairing”.
1. Turn on the Bluetooth® function on your external player
(e.g. smartphone).
2. Push the “BLUETOOTH” button 10 or “BT” 37. The
KB 42 will switch the source to “Bluetooth®” and initiate
pairing mode on its own. “BT pairing” will appear on the
display.
3. Let your external player/smartphone search for Bluetooth® devices. You will fi nd more information about this
in the user manual of your external player.
“Teufel Kombo 42” should also appear in the list of
devices found after the search run.
4. Select “Teufel Kombo 42” from the list of detected
devices.
Pairing is now complete and your KB 42 will now act as
a Bluetooth
®
playback device. The KB 42 will now play
back all sounds that would otherwise be played by your
external player/smartphone.
5. To connect a new external player/smartphone with
the KB 42 while a Bluetooth connection exists, push
and hold the button 10 “BLUETOOTH” or 37 “BT” for 3
seconds. The Bluetooth ID of the connected external
player will disappear and “BT pairing” will appear on the
display. The device is once again in pairing mode.
Notice: If your KB 42 was previously connected to the
external player, it is no longer necessary to switch it to
pairing mode to connect again. Simply selecting it on your
external player from the list of paired devices is enough.

Playback
Notes:
• The volume setting of the external player also affects
the volume of the KB 42.
• If you select Bluetooth® as the source, but there is no
KB 42 Bluetooth module in the slot, the error message
“BT MODULE MISSING” will appear on the display. The
KB 42 will then automatically select “CD” as the source
after 5 seconds.
1. If you have not yet done so, push the button
10 “BLUE-
TOOTH” or 37 “BT” to select Bluetooth® as the source
.
2. Establish the Bluetooth® connection between the external player and the KB 42 as described above.
3. Start playback on your external player.
4. Control playback on your external device or with the
remote control (playback/pause, stop, next / previous
track, volume).
5. If your external player is a smartphone, the Bluetooth
®
connection will be interrupted in the event of an incoming call and you can make phone calls as usual.
After fi nishing your phone call, the sounds will once
again be diverted and played back by your KB 42.
6. To terminate the Bluetooth
®
connection, turn off the
Bluetooth® function on your external player and select
another source on the KB 42.

Care And Cleaning
Clean your CD receiver regularly with a soft, damp microfi bre cloth. Please be absolutely sure to observe the
following notes in the process:
Danger
Danger of electric shock!
In contact with live parts, water can lead to
electric shock or short circuit.
• Make sure that no liquids penetrate the unit.
• Disconnect the mains plug before cleaning.
Attention
Risk of damage!
Using the wrong cleaning agents may damage
the delicate surface of the housing.
• If possible, only use plain water without any additives.
In case of stubborn marks, a mild soap solution may be
used.
• In no circumstances should caustic cleaning products,
white spirit, thinners, petrol or similar be used for
cleaning.
How to clean your CDs
To clean your CDs, only use cleaners approved exclusively
for CDs.
If necessary, carefully wipe off the CD
with a soft, lint-free cloth from the
centre to the edge. To do so, hold the CD
between your index fi nger and thumb of
your other hand.
If your hand comes in contact with the
playback side of the CD, this may cause
playback problems.

Troubleshooting
The following advice should help you to solve problems. If this does not help, you will fi nd useful information in the detailed
FAQs on our website. Otherwise, please contact our hotline (see page 3). Take note of the warranty instructions.

Device is not working, the
display is dark.
No power supply. Check to make sure that the mains plug is
properly seated.
Check the function of the socket with another
device.
The speakers do not emit
sound.
The wrong source has been selected. Select the correct source (see Seite 11).
The volume is set to “0”. Increase the volume.
The headphones are connected. Pull the headphones out of the jack. If head-
phones are connected, the speakers have
been switched off.
The speaker cable is loose. Check the speaker connections.
Playback is noisy. Generally speaking, the CD receiver is a
very low-noise system. The speaker system
with very high resolution in the high range
area can expose the poor quality of a signal
source (e.g. from MP3 fi les).
Ensure that the source is sending a clear
signal to the CD receiver.
Poor reception The station is far away or the transmission
power is very weak.
Attempt to improve reception by adjusting the
direction of the antenna.
Use the buttons 15 or 43 “TUNING +/–” to
optimise the station reception.
If necessary, switch to mono (push the “FM
ST/M” button 35).
“NO DISC” The CD has been inserted the wrong way
around.

Batteries and rechargeable batteries
Batteries and rechargeable batteries do
not belong in the household garbage!
Every consumer is required by law to bring all
batteries and rechargeable batteries, regardless whether they contain harmful substances*) or not,
to a collection point run by the communal authority or
borough or to a retailer, so that they can be disposed of in
an environmentally friendly manner.
Please only turn in batteries and rechargeable batteries
which are empty!
*) labelled with: Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead
Disposing of the device
Old devices must not be disposed of with
household waste!
If the device is no longer operational, every
consumer is required by law to dispose of old
devices separately from household waste,
e.g. at a collection point run by the communal authority/
boroughs. This ensures that old devices are recycled in a
professional manner and also rules out negative consequences for the environment.
For this reason, electrical equipment is marked with the
adjacent symbol.
