Product Contents and Technical Data
You can obtain further technical data on our website.
Check that the delivery is complete and nothing is damaged. If you find damage, do not operate the
device; instead contact our service department.
Disposing of the device
Old devices must not be disposed of with household waste!
If the device is no longer operational the owner must dispose of old equipment separately from
household waste, e.g. at a local authority waste collection
Protecting the Environment
centre. This ensures that old devices are recycled in a professional manner and also rules out negative consequences for the environment. For this reason, electrical equipment is labelled with the displayed symbol.

For Your Safety
Signal terms
You can find the following signal terms in these instructions:
WARNING
This signal term indicates a moderate risk, which, if not avoided, may result in death or severe injury.
CAUTION
This signal term indicates a low risk, which, if not avoided, may result in minor or moderate injury.
NOTICE
This signal term warns you of potential damage.
Safety notes
An unsuitable setup location may result in injury and damage.
– If the speaker is not securely mounted, do
not use it in vehicles, in unstable locations, on wobbly stands or furniture, on insufficient brackets etc. The speaker may tip or fall over and cause injury to persons or be damaged itself.
– Place the speaker in such a way that it cannot
be knocked over inadvertently and make sure that the cables do not pose a trip hazard.
– If you want to use underframes or speaker
stands, only use those recommended by the manufacturer.
– Do not place the speaker near heat sources
(e.g. heaters, ovens, or other heat generating equipment such as amplifiers etc.).
– Do not use the speaker in environments
where there is a risk of explosion.
– When storing the speaker, also ensure that it
stands safely and that it cannot be knocked down or over.
Children can become trapped in the plastic wrapping when playing and suffocate.
– Do not allow children to play with the device or
the plastic wrapping. Danger of suffocation.
– Ensure that children do not remove small
parts from the device or take them off of the device (e.g. control knobs or plug adapters). They could swallow the parts and choke.
Extended listening at high volumes may lead to hearing loss.
– To avoid damage to health, avoid extended
listening at high volumes.
– When the volume is set high, always keep a
certain distance from the device and never place your ear directly on the speaker.
– If a speaker is set to full volume, this may pro-
duce very high sound pressure. This may have psychological consequences and also cause physical injury. Children and pets are particularly at risk. Set your signal source device volume control to a low setting before turning on the power.
Improper use may lead to damage or fire.
– Do not place open fire sources such as burn-
ing candles or similar on the speaker.
– Ensure sufficient ventilation.
– Do not expose the speaker to direct sunlight.
– Only use the speaker in indoor areas.
– Do not use the speaker in wet rooms and
protect it against dripping or splashing water. Make sure that no vases or other liquid-filled containers are located on or near the speaker in order to prevent liquid from penetrating the housing.

Unpacking, Setup and Connection
Unpacking
• Carefully open the box and lift the speaker with the EPE
foam parts out without touching the diaphragms.
Setup
Our website contains comprehensive notes for correct setup.
• Select a stable, level base.
• Make sure that the environment is clean and free from
dust.
• Select a location away from heat sources and direct
sunlight.
• Lay the connector cord so that it does not pose a trip-
ping hazard.
• Do not place any heavy objects on the cord or the
speaker.
• Make sure that the speaker is firmly positioned.
Assembly
• Mounting material especially attuned to our speaker
(cables, speaker stand, isolation pads etc.) is available via our web shop.
• The threaded hole on the underside of the speaker
serves to mount the speaker on a speaker stand or wall bracket. Simply remove the screw to use the threaded hole.
Wall mounting
The H 600 CF is ideally suited for wall mounting. If you choose to mount the speaker on the wall, please note the following:
NOTICE
Improper mounting may cause damage.
– If mounting the speaker on the wall, make
sure that it is done in a professional manner.
– Before drilling the holes, use a metal detector
to ensure that there are no electrical cables or pipes in the wall within the drilling area.
– Use only suitable screws and dowels for fix-
ing. Verify the carrying capacity of the walls.
• There are 2 hooks on the back of the H 600 CF which you can use to easily hang the speaker on the previously set screws.
Removing the protective grids
NOTICE
The speaker diaphragms are very sensitive.
– When removing and attaching the protective
grids, make sure that you do not touch the diaphragms.
The protective grids are secured by magnets on the front of the speaker and can be easily removed. High frequencies will sound notably clearer without the protective grids.

Connecting
CAUTION
Risk of injury/damage!
– Lay the speaker cable so that it does not pose
a tripping hazard.
1. Pull the mains plug for your amplifier/AV receiver or multi-channel active subwoofer out of the socket.
2. Lay the speaker cable from your amplifier/AV receiver or multi-channel active subwoofer to the speaker. Use a high-quality double wire speaker cable with marked strands for this. The cross-section should amount to at least 2.5 .
3. A connector terminal with two terminals is located on the back of the speaker; the speaker cable must be attached to them. The terminals are each marked red (+) and black (-).
Make sure the polarity is correct! Otherwise, the sound quality will suffer.
• Connect the like-coloured terminals.
• The speaker connections of your amplifier/AV receiver or multi-channel active subwoofer should be marked similarly. You can differentiate between the two strands of the speaker cables by means of the colours or shapes.
For speaker cables with pin plugs, you can insert the pin plugs directly into the connector terminals. Connect the speaker cables without a plug as follows:
1. Split the single wire down by approx. 30 mm on both ends and remove approx. 10 mm of insulation each.
2. Twist the stripped wire ends so that no strands are protruding. Tin coating is not necessary.
3. Turn the connector terminal counterclockwise until loose. Run the stripped cable end into the now visible hole. Close the terminal by turning it clockwise. The cable has now been clamped in place.
4. Connect the other end of the speaker cable to your amplifier/AV receiver or multi-channel active subwoofer. You should be able to find corresponding notes in the operating instructions of your device.
5. Insert the mains plug for your amplifier/AV receiver or multi-channel active subwoofer into the socket.

The veneered surfaces of our speakers have a protective surface coat so no wood polish is necessary.
NOTICE
Risk of damage!
Using the wrong cleaning agents may damage the delicate surface of the housing.
– Under no circumstances should caustic clean-
ing products, white spirit, thinners, petrol or similar be used for cleaning.
• Ideally, you should remove dust or small amounts of dirt with a dry, smooth leather cloth.
• Rub off stubborn dirt with a damp cloth. Make sure that no liquid penetrates the speakers.
• If possible, only use plain water without any additives. In case of stubborn marks, a mild soap solution may be used.
• Then immediately wipe the surfaces dry with a soft cloth without applying pressure.
Cleaning and Care
The following advice should help you to solve problems. If this does not help, you will find useful information in the detailed FAQs on our website. Otherwise, please contact our hotline (see page 1). Take note of the warranty instructions.
Problem Possible cause Solution
Playback is noisy.
The speaker is generally very low-noise. In the high range area, very high-resolution speaker systems can expose the poor quality of a signal source (e.g. from MP3 files).
Make sure that the source is emitting a clear signal.
The sound seems dull. Speakers have been connected with
incorrect polarity.
Check to make sure the cables of all speakers are correctly connected.
