an audio signal is detected or as soon as
you move the adjusting ring (1) or push
the button④.
If no charger is connected, the BAMSTER
will switch to standby mode after another

minutes.
For iOS devices, the rechargeable battery charge level of the
BAMSTER will appear on the display next to the Bluetooth symbol while
they are connected to the BAMSTER.
Bluetooth® pairing
You can connect compatible devices,
such as most smartphones, with your
BAMSTER via Bluetooth® (pairing). The
audio output of your smartphone is then
emitted by the BAMSTER.

1. Activate the Bluetooth function on your
external player (e.g. smartphone).
2. Push and hold the
approx. 3 seconds.
The LED indicator on the volume
dial① will now blink rapidly until
pairing is complete (no more than 60
seconds).
3. Let your smartphone or tablet search
for Bluetooth devices (you can find
more information in the user manual of
your smartphone). “Teufel BAMSTER”
should also appear in the list of detected devices following the scan.
4. Select “Teufel BAMSTER”
of detected devices.
If your external player requires the
entry of a PIN code, enter the PIN code
“0000” set by factory default.
5. Pairing is now complete and your
BAMSTER is linked to the external player. The BAMSTER will now play back all
sounds that would otherwise be played
by your external player.

from the list
To terminate the Bluetooth connection,
switch the Bluetooth® function on your
external player/smartphone off.
Connection to two external players
In party mode, you can also connect
two Bluetooth source devices to the
BAMSTER at the same time. Thus, you
can play music tracks from the two devices in alternation.
1. Pair the external player1 with
BAMSTER (see Bluetooth pairing steps
1–4).
2. Pair the external player2 with
BAMSTER (see Bluetooth pairing steps
1–4).
3. Connect the external player1 to
BAMSTER again (select it from the list
of paired devices).
14
• BAMSTER
Page 15
Before switching source devices,
you must first pause the current
playback.
If two Bluetooth sources are registered
with the BAMSTER at the same time, the
LED indicator on the volume dial① will
blink in alternation for 2 seconds.
Restoring the connection with a
paired external player
If your BAMSTER was previously connected to the external player, it is no longer
necessary to switch it to pairing mode to
connect again. Simply selecting it on your
external player from the list of paired
devices is enough.
Interruption of connection
The Bluetooth connection will be cut
if you are outside of the range of your
external player with your BAMSTER.
The connection will be re-established
automatically when you are back within
range.
Call function
If you activated the call function on your
smartphone and there is a Bluetooth®
connection to the BAMSTER, you can use
the BAMSTER as a hands-free device.
• In the event of an incoming call,
your smartphone will ring and the
BAMSTER will also emit a ring tone.
Any media playback will be paused.
• Answer the call on your smartphone
or briefly tap the button ④ on the
BAMSTER.
• You can now conduct the call via the
BAMSTER using the microphone installed next to the volume dial ①.
• Push the button ④ again to end
the call.
Media playback will resume.

Playback
• Start playback on your external player.
The volume setting of the external
player affects the volume of the
BAMSTER.
Only with Bluetooth® connection:
• Pause / continue playback:
Press briefly the button ④.
• In order to skip to the next track during
playback, press the button ④ two
times in quick succession.
Connection via AUX
As an alternative to Bluetooth®, you
can also connect your BAMSTER to the
headphone jack of the external player via
an audio cable with 3.5 mm jack plugs
for example.
Select the cable connection if you do
not wish or are not allowed to use the
Bluetooth function.
Connect your external player with the
jack ③. Use the enclosed audio cable
for this.
Please note:
• With some smartphones, Bluetooth®
must be switched off for transmission
via AUX.
• A connection via AUX takes precedence over Bluetooth®.
• Due to differing output levels from
source devices, the volume may be
lower when using AUX as opposed to
Bluetooth
• The playback functions of the
button ④ of the BAMSTER are not
possible with this connection.
• In order to avoid potential interference
from the computer via Line In/AUX,
please make sure to use a separately
purchased USB mains adapter as a
power supply for the Bamster.

Storage
• Store the BAMSTER at 10–20°C so
that it is not exposed to dust and so
that it remains dry.
• Protect the BAMSTER from exposure
to humidity and direct sunlight.
• Charge the rechargeable battery
completely before storage. The most
frequent cause of deep discharge of
rechargeable batteries is prolonged

Protecting the
Environment
Old devices must not be
disposed of with household
waste!
If the device is no longer operational, every consumer is required by law
to dispose of old devices separately from
household waste, e.g. at a collection
point run by the communal authority/borough. This ensures that old devices are
recycled in a professional manner and
also rules out negative consequences for
the environment.
For this reason, electrical equipment is
marked with the following symbol.
Batteries and rechargeable
batteries do not belong in
the household garbage!
Every consumer is required by law to
bring all batteries and rechargeable batteries, regardless whether they contain
harmful substances*) or not, to a collection point run by the communal authority
or borough or to a retailer, so that they
can be disposed of in an environmentally
friendly manner.
Please only turn in batteries and rechargeable batteries which are empty!
