PAIRING
The TetraMouse BT adapter connects without entering a pairing code number, but different systems may require different steps to successfully pair.
If the adapter is not connected to a host during the first 30 seconds after it is turned on, it will advertise its presence and become available for pairing as in the following process:
With the TetraMouse connected to the USB Mouse Port, turn on the adapter by clicking the Power Switch. If the indicator lights on the TetraMouse all go off, the battery in the adapter needs to be charged. The lights on the TetraMouse should display the startup flashing pattern, then stop with one of the indicators (blue, green, yellow, or red), remaining lit. The blue LED on the Bluetooth Adapter will start flashing about once per second.
On the host, search for Bluetooth devices. The adapter may appear as either a MAC address (a combination of numbers and letters), or as “LE Keyboard” or as “TetraMouse BT”. If you don’t see the new device listed, try doing a left click with the TetraMouse (push the left joystick left and release). Depending on the host system, clicking the TetraMouse may be necessary in order for the device to be recognized in the Bluetooth connection dialog on the host system.
When the host finds the adapter, select it and then select “pair”. If pairing succeeds, the blue LED indicator on the Bluetooth Adapter will blink slower at about once every 2 seconds, and the adapter will then be connected to the host and ready to be used.
Pairing is only required once. The next time the adapter is turned on, it will connect to the paired host if it is available.
If you want to pair the adapter with a different host, you must first unpair it from the current host before pairing with the new one. If you pair to a new host without unpairing the old one first, and if both hosts are turned on, unexpected behavior may result.
BATTERY CHARGING
Connect the supplied USB Mini charging cable to the Charging Port. Connect the other end of the cable to any USB port on the computer or any other USB charging device. The red LED indicator is on when charging and goes off when fully charged.
The red LED will blink when the battery is low, indicating it’s time to recharge.
BATTERY REPLACEMENT
The TetraMouse BT adapter uses a commonly available cell phone battery, the Nokia BP-6M or equivalent. The video on YouTube at https://youtu.be/gE50_THCb2c shows how to replace the battery.
