INSTALLING THE INTERNAL FILTER
For Suction-Cup Models:

Insert the Filter Cartridge and Bio-Scrubber®as shown.
(Note: The front of the Bio-Scrubber®is marked “front”
and should face the front of the Internal Filter.)

Hang the Internal Filter inside the aquarium and press
the suction cup against the aquarium glass. Drape wire
over the aquarium wall.
Suspendez le filtre interne à l’intérieur de l’aquarium et pressez
la ventouse contre le verre de l’aquarium. Positionnez le fil pardessus le mur de l’aquarium.

The lip of the Internal Filter should be above water
level, and the bottom of the Internal Filter should
be at least one inch above the aquarium gravel.
When positioning plants and other items, leave about
a 1/2-inch clearance around the Internal Filter.
La languette du filtre interne doit se trouver au-dessus du
niveau d’eau, et le fond du filtre interne doit être au moins 2,5
cm (1 pouce) au-dessus du gravier. Au moment de positionner
les plantes et autres articles, laissez au moins 1,25 cm (1/2
po) d’espace autour du filtre interne.
El reborde del Filtro Interno debe quedar por encima del nivel
de agua, y la parte inferior del Filtro Interno, al menos 2,54 cm

Raise or lower the Internal Filter by adjusting the filter
hanger. Rotate the Filter hanger 90º, remove it, and replace
it in an alternate alignment hole. (In turtle tanks, the bottom
of the Internal Filter should be submerged in at least two
inches of water.)

Tournez le support du filtre de 90°, enlevez-le, et replacez-le dans un
autre trou d’alignement. (Dans les réservoirs à tortues, le fond du filtre
interne doit être submergé dans au moins 5 cm [2 po] d’eau.)

If the Filter Hanger does not fit on the aquarium frame, it
can be replaced with an extra suction cup. When pressed
firmly, the suction cup will fit snugly into the filter.
Si le support du filtre ne convient pas au cadre de l’aquarium,
il peut être remonté à l’aide d’une ventouse supplémentaire.
Lorsqu’elle est enfoncée fermement, la ventouse s’insère bien
à l’intérieur du filtre.

puede reinstalar con una ventosa extra. Al oprimirla

✳ When cleaning the Internal Filter, unplug the unit. Do not use detergents or soap, as
residue may be harmful to fish.
✳ It is not recommended to put sand in the aquarium when using the Internal Filter.
✳
If the Bio Scrubber becomes clogged, remove and wash with water until debris is removed.
✳ The Filter Cartridge should be replaced every four weeks. To change filter, unplug the
Internal Filter, remove and replace the cartridge, then re-plug the Internal Filter.
✳ When medicating fish, remove the Filter Cartridge, as it absorbs most medications.
✳ If the motor is noisy, unplug the Internal Filter and remove it from the aquarium. Remove
the motor, open its cover, and flush gravel, leaves, or other debris with cool water.
Replace the motor into the Internal Filter, mount the Internal Filter in the aquarium, and
re-plug the unit.

✳ It takes a few weeks for new aquarium water to be
conditioned. You can use EasyBalance™to speed up
conditioning. During the conditioning period, feed fish
lightly and be sure all food is consumed.
✳ When putting tap water into the aquarium, add
AquaSafe™Water Conditioner in order to neutralize
harmful chlorine and chloramines.

LIMITED TWO-YEAR WARRANTY
Tetra warrants this product against defects in material or workmanship for a period of two
years from the date of original purchase.
If the product exhibits such a defect, Tetra will repair or replace it without cost for parts or
labor. The product must be shipped postpaid to Tetra. Proof of purchase is required. You are
responsible for proper wrapping and the payment of $5 for shipping.
This warranty does not cover damage caused by accident, misuse, abuse or failure to follow
product instructions. All implied warranties, including any implied warranty of merchantability
or fitness for any purpose, are limited to two years from date of original purchase.
In no event will Tetra be liable for consequential damages resulting from the use of this product.
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential
damages, so the above limitation may not apply to you. This warranty provides specific legal
rights. You may have other legal rights that vary from state to state.
