The control panel of the fan consists of a Speed Switch, a TimerControl and an Oscillator Button.

The setting disables the timer. In this mode the fanis controlled by the Speed buttons.
The timer can be set from 0 to 120 minutes. When the time is up, the timer reaches 0 and switches the fan off.
Tooperate the fan again:
Set the Timerto ON or set a newtime.
Ensure the Speed Switchis set to‘0’.
Set the TIMER toON, or select a time. Plug in the fanand switch it on at the mains. Now select the desiredspeed.
Your fan can oscillate about its axis for better cooling. The oscillator button is located under the Timer Knob andmarked with the symbol .
Ensure that the fancan oscillate freely before using this feature.
Tooscillate the fan pressthe oscillator button in. Press and release the Oscillator button again to return to fixedoperation..
Press the oscillator button down, allow the fan to reach the desired position and press the oscillator button again to lock the fan in its new position.
When moving the fan always ensure that it is switched off and unplugged at the mains point. Carry the fan with one hand in the handgrip at the top rear and thecolumn body in the other.
Before cleaning, switch the fan off and unplug from the mains. The fan column may be cleaned with a mild detergent lightly applied to a damp cloth. Remove all traces of detergent with a clean damp cloth and dry thoroughly before operating the appliance. Never spray liquid onto any partof the fan or allow liquids to run intothe interior of the appliance. When not in use, store the appliance away from sources of moisture and heat and where children and pets cannot accessthe unit.
Your Tesco appliance is covered by a warranty for 12 months from the date of purchase. If a fault develops during this period, please return it together with your original purchase receipt to your nearest Tesco store. This warranty in no way affects your consumer rights.

Never use the fan improperly assembled or without the guard correctlyfitted.
Do not insert any object into the fan whether the fan is running ornot.
Close supervision is necessary when any appliance is used byor near children.

Before using this appliance ensure that the voltage of your electricity supply isthe same as that indicated on the appliance.
The means of disconnecting this appliance from the mains supply is the mains plug. This should be unobstructed and readily operableat all times .
The appliance cord is terminated with a UK approved mains plug fitted with a 3A fuse. If
Class II construction double insulated. This product must not beconnected to earth.
the fuse needs to be replaced, an ASTA or BSI approved BS1362 fuse rated at3A must be used.
If you need to change the fuse in a non-rewireable plug, the fuse cover must be fitted. If the fuse cover is lost or damaged the appliance must not be used until a suitable cover is obtained and fitted. It is important that the fuse cover fitted corresponds with the colour marking onthe base of the plug. If you need to change the mains plug, remove the fuse and dispose of the old plug safely immediately after cutting it fromthe cord.
The wires in the mains lead are coloured in accordance with the code:
NEUTRAL, LIVE As these colours maynot correspond to the coloured markings identifying the terminals in your plug, proceed as follows:
The wire coloured BLUE must be connected to the terminal marked with the letter N or coloured BLUE or BLACK. The wire coloured BROWN must be connected to the terminal marked with the letter L or coloured BROWN or RED. Do NOT connect to the terminal marked with the letter E or coloured GREEN or GREEN & YELLOW ormarked with the Earth Symbol .

INTRODUCTION
UNPACKING
ASSEMBLY
Before using this appliance please read all these notes and instructions carefully and famliarise yourself with the features of your new appliance. In particular, please study the assembly instructions before assembling your towerfan.
Unpack all the items carefully and remove all plastic wrappings from the componentparts.
Check the fan carefully. If any items are damaged or missing, please return the appliance for replacement to the store you purchased itfrom, or to your nearest Tesco store. Remember to take your receipt.
Retain the packing, or if you decide to dispose of it, make sure that you do so with due regard to any recycling provisions currently inforce.
For ease of assembly, lay the Fan down so that the front grill and control panel are facing up. Identify the two basesections and .
Remove the four screws attached to the support pillars in Section Aand keep them safe
Thread the PowerCord through the centre of the support base section A.
Align the two Base sections by interlocking the guides on Base A with the support pillars on Base B. Push themfirmly together.
Attach the four screws screws into the four
holes in the pillarsat the bottom of the base.
Note the position ofthe power cord.
Remove the four screws in the base of the
fan column and savethem
Align the support base assembly with the
column support assembly
Ensure that the cord channel on the bottom of the support base facesthe rear of the fan.
Ensure that the power cord is routed awayfrom the oscillating mechanism at the base of the fan so that the cord is not damaged and does not prevent the fanfrom oscillating.
Attach the support base assembly to the
column support assembly withthe four screws.
Place the cord in the wire trough in the base. The power cord is protected by a length of plastic sleeve. Push the cord under the strain relief in the back of the base. Thesleeve should protrude just beyond thefan support base.
