PERSONAL SAFETY
Always use caution when handling the appliance - it will be hot • during operation. Never touch hot surfaces - use the handle.
DO NOT USE WHILE BATHING.• Close supervision is necessary if the appliance is operated near •
children. Only use the appliance as described in this User Guide.• Do not use the appliance if aerosol (spray) products are being •
used. Do not carry the appliance by the mains lead or use the lead as •
a handle. Take care to avoid direct contact between the hot surfaces and •
the skin of the face and neck.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Switch o the appliance before connecting it to the mains • supply.
Switch o and unplug the appliance after use.• Ensure that the supplied voltage is in the range indicated.• Do not allow the mains lead to touch hot objects.• Ensure that the appliance is switched OFF before connecting •
to the mains power supply. Be aware that some surfaces may become hot. Do not touch and supervise others accordingly.
To protect against electric shock, never allow the appliance, • the mains cable or plug to come into contact with water or any other liquid.
Never reach for any appliance that has fallen into water. Switch • o the power supply at the mains immediately and unplug. Do not re-use until the product has been inspected and approved by a qualied electrician.
Always ensure that hands are dry before operating or adjusting • any switch on the product or touching the plug and mains supply connections.
Never leave the appliance unattended when connected to the • mains power supply.
Keep all ventilation slots, lters etc. uncovered and clear of • debris. Never drop or insert objects into the openings.
For additional protection, the installation of a residual current • device (RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30mA is recommended. If in doubt, ask a qualied electrician for advice.
Ensure the mains lead of the appliance is not trapped or • pinched.
Regularly check the mains lead for wear or damage, particularly • where it enters the product or plug.
The mains lead and plug for this appliance cannot be replaced; if • the lead is damaged the appliance should be discarded.
STORAGE
The appliance should NEVER be stored whilst hot or whilst still • connected to the mains. Always ensure the appliance is switched o, unplugged from the mains and has cooled down completely before storing.
Never wrap the mains lead around the appliance. •

UNPACKING
In the box you should nd the appliance - remove all the packing and retain the packaging. If you dispose of it, please do so according to any recycling regulations.
If items are missing or damaged, contact your nearest Tesco store for assistance.
Read and retain this user guide. If you pass the appliance to a third party, make sure to include this user guide.
Before use, remove the plastic protector and warning card from the mains plug.

WARNING: DO NOT HOLD THE HAIR BETWEEN THE PLATES FOR ANY MORE THAN A COUPLE OF SECONDS AS THIS MAY DAMAGE YOUR HAIR.
When you have nished on one section, move to another area 5. of hair and repeat the process over the head. Allow the hair to cool before combing through.
After use, push the ON/OFF switch to the OFF position. Move 6. the straighteners to a place where it is safe for them to cool before storage.
CARE AND CLEANING
The appliance must be unplugged before cleaning. Let the appliance cool down before touching or cleaning the body
or plates. Clean the housing and plates with a slightly damp cloth. DO NOT use any harsh detergents, abrasives, solvents or cleaners.
NEVER immerse in water to clean. Dry thoroughly before use.
WARRANTY
Your appliance is covered by a warranty for 12 months from the date of purchase. If a fault develops during this period, please return the unit to your nearest Tesco store together with the original receipt as proof of purchase. This warranty in no way aects your consumer rights.

Ceramic Hair Straightener
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING: THE APPLIANCE WILL GET VERY HOT WITHIN A FEW SECONDS AND MUST NOT BE PLACED IN CONTACT WITH THE SKIN AFTER IT IS PLUGGED IN. SWITCH THE APPLIANCE ON JUST 30-40 SECONDS BEFORE IT IS REQUIRED FOR USE.
Fully unwind the mains cable. Make sure the ON/OFF switch is 1. in the OFF position.
Place the appliance on a smooth, at, dry surface, plug in and 2. switch on at the mains supply.
Push the ON/OFF switch to the ON position, the Power 3. Indicator will light.
For straightening hair, take a section no more than 4 to 5cm 4. wide. Place the hair between the two at plates as close as you can near the scalp (DO NOT TOUCH THE SCALP). Hold the plates tight by pressing the two handles together. Hold for a couple of seconds and slide the unit in a smooth, even motion towards the ends. For best results, hold the end of the hair while smoothing the section and clip away any hair that isn’t being straightened.
