Hot Air Styler Use and Care
Only use the appliance as described in this User Guide.• Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid.• Do not expose the appliance to excessive moisture, dust or •
dirt Never cover or block the rear grille of the appliance. This may •
lead to overheating. If the rear grille becomes blocked, stop using the appliance immediately.
Ensure the air outlet is free of blockages. Unrestricted • airow is required for correct operation and to prevent overheating.
In the event of overheating, the appliance is tted with a • thermal safety cut-out which will prevent the appliance from operating. Allow the appliance to suciently cool before using again.
Always check the appliance for damage prior to use. If any • damage is observed, do not use the appliance.
The appliance is intended for indoor use only.• Always switch the appliance o after use.• Always allow the appliance to cool fully prior to storing. •
Allow at least 30 minutes to cool. Do not place the appliance on or near a heat sensitive surface •
after use. This appliance has no user serviceable parts. Do not attempt •

PERSONAL SAFETY
Never use the appliance with wet hands.• Do not use the appliance on any area for a prolonged period •

Always keep hair away from the rear grille of the appliance • Hair may be sucked into the rear of the appliance causing a blockage.
Do not direct aerosols or water sprays towards the • appliance.
Close supervision is necessary if the appliance is operated • near children.
ELECTRICAL SAFETY
Never leave the appliance unattended while switched on, or • still hot.
Switch o the appliance before connecting it to the mains • supply.
Switch o and unplug the appliance after use.• Ensure that the supplied voltage is in the range indicated.• Do not allow the mains lead to touch hot objects.• To protect against electric shock, never allow the appliance, •
the mains cable or plug to come into contact with water or any other liquid.
Never reach for any appliance that has fallen into water. • Switch o the power supply at the mains immediately and unplug. Do not re-use until the product has been inspected and approved by a qualied electrician.
Keep all ventilation slots, lters, etc. uncovered and clear of • debris. Never drop or insert objects into the openings.
For additional protection, the installation of a residual • current device(RCD) having a rated residual operating current not exceeding 30 mA is advisable in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. Ask your installer for advice.
Never wrap the mains cord around the appliance. Do not • hang up by the power cord, use the hanging loop.
Regularly check the mains cord for wear or damage, • particularly where it enters the product and the plug.
DO NOT USE WHILE BATHING.• Keep your hair away from the immediate vicinity of the air •
inlet opening (at the back of the appliance)
WARNING: THE APPLIANCE SHOULD NEVER BE LEFT UNATTENDED WHEN CONNECTED TO THE MAINS SUPPLY.
The supply cord and plug for this appliance cannot be replaced; if the cord is damaged the appliance should be discarded.

SETTING THE MAINS VOLTAGE
120V 230-240V

This appliance is supplied for use in the UK, set for 230-240V operation, and tted with an approved UK mains plug. The voltage selector also includes a setting for 120V which may be used when travelling to countries with a 120V mains supply.
When travelling, always check the local mains voltage in your area before connecting this appliance. You may need to change the voltage selector setting to match the local mains voltage correctly.
To change the operating voltage, turn the selector switch on the handle with a screwdriver or a small coin to line up the slot in the screw with the correct voltage as shown below -
Set for 230-240V operation
Always remember to check the voltage setting before use when you have travelled to another country or returned home. Incorrect voltage setting will result in permanent damage to the appliance.
NOTE: When travelling to other countries a mains plug adaptor (not supplied) may be required for connection to the local mains supply.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Fully unwind the mains cable. Make sure the ON/OFF switch 1. is in the OFF position.
Place the appliance on a smooth, at, dry surface, plug in 2. and switch on at the mains supply.
Line up the notches on the brush with the lugs on the body 3. and push it into place over the air outlet.
NOTE: To remove the brush, grip it rmly and pull it o the appliance.
Set for 120V operation
For styling hair, take a section no more than 4 to 5 cm wide. 5. Place the ends of the strand of hair on the brush.
Rotate the appliance so that the strand of hair is rolled up to 6. the roots.
Hold the appliance in place for a few seconds.7. Carefully unwind the strand. Proceed with other sections of 8.
hair until all areas have been curled. When you have nished drying or styling your hair, switch 9.
the power selection switch to the OFF position. Switch o at the mains supply, unplug the appliance and 10.
allow it to cool before storing.
UNBLOCKING THE REAR GRILLE
If during use, the rear grille becomes clogged or blocked 1. with air, dust or dirt, clean the rear grille.
Clean the rear grille using a vacuum cleaner.2.
CARE AND CLEANING

WARRANTY
Your appliance is covered by a warranty for 12 months from the date of purchase. If a fault develops during this period, please return the unit to your nearest Tesco store together with the original receipt as proof of purchase. This warranty in no way aects your consumer rights.
