Configuring PhonoPreAmp iVinyl
for Clear Playthrough
The following instructions will allow for adjust the Mac OS audio device settings so the
PhonoPreAmp iVinyl supports playthrough when recording with CD Spin Doctor.
Step 1: configure Audio Devices in the Mac OS
Once the device has been connected via the USB and RCA connections, the next

These settings are located in the “Applications / Utilities” folder.
Double click to open “Audio MIDI Setup”.
Under the System Settings area. Change the Default Input: from Built-in Audio (the
default) to PhonoPreAmp iVinyl.
launching CD Spin Doctor is to change the Audio Midi Settings.
Change the Properties For: from Built-in Audio (the default) to PhonoPreAmp iVinyl.
Configuring PhonoPreAmp iVinyl
for Clear Playthrough
Under the Audio Input area, change the Format settings to be 44100.0 Hz, 24-bit.
Click on the red (x) in the top left corner to close this application and save the settings.
This will allow for the OS to support 24-bit playthrough with the iVinyl. Most devices
capture at 44100 Hz, 16-bit, which is supported correctly by the OS. Note that these
changes will default back to the original settings if the iVinyl is disconnected from USB.
