components far behind on account of its enormous
functionality within an intelligent structure of per-
fectly harmonized modules, which have the ability to
intercommunicate.
You can integrate analog television into the system
just as easily as digital satellite programs. You can
record and archive any TV program at the touch of a
button or in advance. In addition, you can transfer
films and music from other media into the system
and use them anywhere and at any time. A particularly useful function is the timeshifting function which
allows you to watch programs from the start, even if
they have already begun.
The system can adapt itself completely to your requirements. Its modular structure allows you to create a
tailor-made home entertainment network spread
across several rooms. By integrating your PC or lap-
top you can connect additional capacities for storage
and playback of media data and control of system functions in no time at all.

LANCASTER IF 701

The IF 701 is the intelligent center of the LANCASTER home entertainment system. The interface
is not just the bridge between other LANCASTER
modules and conventional entertainment electronics such as televisions and hi-fi systems, but is
also responsible for the control of all system functions.
The clearly structured on-screen menus and the
ergonomically designed remote control guarantee
a high level of convenience and rapid results. This
means that you always have all the functions of
the LANCASTER system in the palm of your hand:
Playback of videos, music and images, recording
and timer programming as well as your own personal settings.
Watch and listen to exactly what you want: Analog
or digital TV programs, recorded or copied videos,
your favorite songs or slide shows of your images.
LANCASTER IF 701 has a wide range of connections
to simplify integration. For outputting video signals,
there are a Scart output, S-video and Composite
sockets available. Audio signals are made available
using digital and analog connections.
Now, customized home entertainment knows no
boundaries. The standardized network connection
of all the Lancaster system modules means that
you can connect the IF 701 to the TV receivers AV
701 and DV 701 and, in addition, to integrate the
memory module HD 701 or your PC.
Use this network as an intelligent TV and video
recorder – either centrally or spread across
several rooms.
LANCASTER DV 701
Within the LANCASTER home entertainment system the DV 701 is responsible for reception of
digital TV and radio signals from satellites.
The DVB-S receiver module supports all FTA (FreeTo-Air) receivable TV and radio programs. Integrated network compatibility allows the signals to be
forwarded to additional LANCASTER components
or connected PC systems.
You can save your favorites to the LANCASTER
network at the touch of a button or using a timer
menu without any loss of quality. The timeshifting
function allows you to watch a program from the
beginning even if it has already begun.
The individual configuration of the home entertainment system is possible through the standardized network connection of all components on
the LANCASTER system. For example, you can
connect the DV 701 to your PC or laptop to watch
and record TV digitally. Or you can use the IF 701
to directly connect your TV or to control the complete system using a single remote control.

LANCASTER AV 701
AV 701 is the analog TV receiver inside the LANCASTER home entertainment network. Its wide range
of connection options, refined functionality and integrated network compatibility make it a flexible connection for analog TV and video signals.
As it supports all the main European standards, the
powerful TV tuner can offer ”unlimited” television. In
the LANCASTER network, any program can be recorded and archived at the touch of a button or using
the timer. Additional highlights are simple video
recording and timeshifting, allowing programs to be
watched from the beginning, even though they have
already started.
LANCASTER by TerraTec
The LANCASTER AV 701 always has the right connection: As well as the TV input, video signals can
be input using Scart, Composite and S-video. Audio
signals can be connected to the system in either
analog or digital formats. TV aerials, cable connection, camcorders, video recorders, DVD players or
other analog units can be integrated easily and their
signals are then distributed to other LANCASTER
components.

LANCASTER HD 701
The HD 701 is the modular data memory for the
LANCASTER home entertainment system. It is a com petent communication memory module of the intelligent media server.
An integrated hard drive offers memory space for
videos, music and images which are deposited there
by other modules of the LANCASTER system and
which can be made available again at any time.
The low levels of noise produced by the specially optimized hard drive are reduced yet further by noise
reduction measures. The result: a memory module
which can be seen but not heard.
