Tenqa Fit Bluetooth User Manual

Exposure to Radio Frequency Energy
The Fit contains a radio transmitter and receiver. When on, the Fit can receive and send out radio frequency (RF) energy through its antenna. The Fit is designed and manufactured to comply with the limits for exposure to RF energy set by the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) of the United States and other countries. The exposure standard employs a unit of measurement known as the specific absorption rate, or SAR. The Fit has been tested, and meets the SAR exposure requirements.
If you are concerned about exposure to RF energy, you can limit your exposure by limiting the amount of time using the Fit since time is a factor in how much exposure a person receives.
Additional Information
For more information from the US FCC about exposure to RF energy, see: http://www.fcc.gov/encyclopedia/radio-frequency-

Radio Frequency Interference
Nearly every electronic device is subject to radio frequency interference from external sources if inadequately shielded or designed, or otherwise not configured to be compatible. As a result, the Fit may cause interference with other devices. Read the following information and instructions to avoid interference problems:
Aircraft: Use of the Fit may be prohibited while traveling in aircraft.
Vehicles: RF signals may conflict with installed or inadequately shielded electronic systems in motor vehicles. Check with the manufacturer or its representative regarding your vehicle.
Electronic Devices: Most modern electronic equipment is shielded from RF signals. However, certain electronic equipment may not be shielded against the RF signals from the Fit.
Pacemakers: To avoid potential interference with pacemakers, persons with pacemakers should always keep the Fit more than six inches from their pacemaker when the device is turned on. Consult with a doctor about concerns when using the Fit near a pacemaker. If you have any reason to suspect that
interference is taking place, turn the Fit off immediately.
Other Medical Devices: If you use any other personal medical device, consult the device manufacturer and your physician to determine if it is adequately shielded
from external RF energy. Turn the Fit off in health care facilities when any regulations posted in these areas instruct you to do so. Hospitals and healthcare facilities may use equipment that is sensitive to external RF energy.
Posted Facilities: Turn off the Fit in any facility where posted notices so require.
Important Handling Information
NOTICE: Failure to follow these handling instructions could result in damage to the Fit or other property.
Using Connectors and Ports
Never force a connector into a port. Check for obstructions on the port. Make sure that the connector matches the port and that you have positioned the connector correctly in relation to the port.
Keeping the Fit Within Acceptable Temperatures
Operate the Fit in a place where the temperature is always between 0º and 35º C (32º to 95º F). Battery life might temporarily shorten in low-temperature conditions. Store the Fit in a place where the temperature is always between -20º and 45º C (-4º to 113º F). Don’ t leave the Fit in your car because temperatures in parked cars can exceed this range.
Keeping the Outside of the Fit Clean
To clean the Fit unplug all cables and turn off the Fit (see inside this user manual for instructions on turning off the Fit. Then use a soft, slightly damp, lint-free cloth. Avoid getting moisture in openings. Don’t use window cleaners, household cleaners, aerosol sprays, solvents, alcohol, ammonia, or abrasives to clean the Fit.
Disposal and Recycling Information
The Fit must be disposed of properly according to local laws and regulations. Because this product contains a battery, the product must be disposed of separately from household waste. Contact your local authorities
to learn about recycling options when the Fit reaches the end of its life.

Safety Information
Read all safety information and operating instructions before using the Fit to avoid injury. Failure to follow these safety instructions could result in fire, electric shock, or other injury or damage. For detailed operating instructions including any updates to the safety and regulatory information, please visit us at http://www.tenqa.com/
Bluetooth Communication
Bluetooth wireless technology operates within a range of about 10 m (33 feet). Install the transceiver and any connected Bluetooth device as closely to each other as possible. The following conditions may have a negative effect on the Bluetooth connection:
certain obstacles (people, metal, walls, etc.) an electromagnetic environment A device with a 2.4 GHz frequency (e. g. a Wireless
LAN device, cordless telephone, or microwave oven) in use near this device. Because Bluetooth devices and Wireless LAN (IEEE802.11b/g) use the same
frequency, microwave interferences may occur. This may lead to communication speed deterioration, noiseproduction or invalid connections. In such cases,
turn off the respective device to avoid interference.
To avoid accidents, turn off this device and other Bluetooth devices in the following locations:
near inflammable gas In a hospital, train, airplane, or a fueling station near automatic doors or a fire alarm
Any Bluetooth device you want to connect to the
transceiver is required to conform with the Bluetooth standard specified by Bluetooth SIG. Even if the connected devices may conform with the Bluetooth standard, some devices cannot be connected or will not work correctly depending on the features or specifications of the device. Note: These headphones are connected to a mobile phone or other electronic device using radio frequency signals which cannot guarantee connection under all
conditions or circumstances. Therefore, please never rely solely upon the headphones for essential or emergency communications.
For more information on Bluetooth safety and features, please visit www.bluetooth.com.
Handling the Fit
Do not drop, disassemble, open, crush, bend, deform, puncture, shred, microwave, incinerate, paint, or insert foreign objects into the Fit.
Avoiding Water and Wet Locations
Do not use the Fit in or near rain, swimming pools, hot tubs, bathtubs or other wet locations. Take care not to spill any food or liquid on the Fit. In case the Fit gets wet, unplug all cables, turn off the Fit before cleaning, and allow it to dry thoroughly before turning it on again. Do not attempt to dry the Fit with an external heat source, such as a microwave oven or hair dryer.
Repairing the Fit
Never attempt to repair or modify the Fit yourself. The Fit does not contain any user-serviceable parts. If the Fit has been submerged in water, punctured, or subjected to a severe fall, it is advised that you no longer use the device. The rechargeable battery in the Fit cannot be replaced.
For service information, go to www.tenqa.com.
Charging the Fit
To charge the Fit, it is advised that you only use the included USB to micro USB charging cable and only connect it to devices compliant with the USB 2.0 standard.
Read all safety instructions for any products and accessories before using with the Fit. Tenqa is not responsible for the operation of third party accessories or their compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
Avoiding Hearing Damage
Permanent hearing loss may occur if the Fit is used at high volume. Set the volume to a safe level. You can adapt over time to a higher volume of sound that may sound normal but can be damaging to your hearing. If you experience ringing in your ears or muted speech, stop listening and have your hearing checked.
The louder the volume, the less time is required before your hearing could be affected. Hearing experts suggest that to protect your hearing you should limit the amount of time you use headphones at high volume. Avoid turning up the volume to block out noisy surroundings. If you can’t hear people speaking near you, turn the volume down.
Driving Safely
Do not use the Fit while operating a vehicle. Check and obey the laws and regulations on the use of devices like the Fit in areas where you drive. Stop using the Fit if you find it disruptive or distracting while performing any activity that requires your full attention.
