User’s Guide
This RSET8139.EXE setup program can configuration an
d
diagnostics PCI adapters. It is in the root directory of the
Driver Diskette that comes with th e package. It is used to set
the PCI adapter’s parameter, such as Operating mode, Media
type, Full-duplex, Boot ROM address and Wake On LAN
statrs, on board test…etc.
Run Rset8139.exe setup program. Inse rt the driver diskette
into floppy driver of the host PC. Then at the DOS prompt,
type the following and press Enter：
A:\>RSET8139 <Enter>
Boot ROM Installation
The optional BootRoM allows you to connect a workstation
Without disk driver to your network Ssystem .
Installation procedure
1.Plug the BootROM into the BootROM socket.
2.Run the RSET8139.EXE to change the configuration to
enable the BootROM at available address.
3.Refer to your Network Operating System installation
guide for detail.(Make image file)
If you need BootROM.please call your dealer for
assistance.When installing the BootROM into the socket.
Please make sure that the BootROM IC mark is in the same
direction as the other ICs on the adapter.Also,see to it that
all the IC legs are in the right holes of the Socket.

10Base-T Twisted-pair Cable
The RJ-45 connector used on 10Base-T Ethernet networks is
the 8-pin RJ-45 modular phone jack. The cable used is
0.4~0.6mm round-wire UTP or STP wire cable similar to
that used for ordinary telephone voice tra nsmission.

Hardware Jnstallation
The section describes the procedure for installing the
adapter.Follow the steps listed below to installThe PCI LAN
adaplter.
1.Power off your PC and remove its cover.
2.Select an empty PCI slot and insert the adapter
Note:If your card support Wake On LAN.Please
Connect the cable to the mother-board.And r ead the
manual of the mother board to know about how to set up
the Wake On LAN function.
3.Connect your adapter to the network using RJ-45.
4.Power on the PC
5.Rim doagmpstocs RSET8139.EXE program to check
th adapter of hardware configuration,See the section on
“Diagnostic/setup program”for more informa tion.
6.Installation the software driver.Refer to the Software

mastering architecture,and both transmission rate offer FullDuplex function to connect to Switching Hub.Extensive
