The software described in this document is the property of Telit and its licensors. It is furnished by express license agreement only and may be used only in accordance with the terms of such an agreement.

1. INTRODUCTION
1.1. Scope
This document describes the usage of the development kit for the Bluetooth module BlueMod+S42M together with the Realtek SDK.
1.2. Audience
This document is intended for Telit customers, especially system integrators, about to implement Bluetooth modules in their application.

1.4. Text Conventions
Danger – This information MUST be followed or catastrophic equipment failure or bodily injury may occur.

The BlueDev+S42M has in addition to the connectors are described in [3] BlueEva+S42M Evaluation Kit User Guide a Flash Erase and Log UART Connector.

4. FLASH ERASE
Please write down your Bluetooth address before starting earsing since Bluetooth address will be lost during erasing.
For whole flash erase please place jumper X8 on the Erase Connector.

Make a reset of Module (by power on or pressing the reset button), remove the jumper and wait approx. 10 seconds while the firmware will be erased.

5. REALTEK BLUETOOTH MP TOOL
Preconditions: Connect the BlueDev+S42M via USB to a PC. Check the used COM port by using the Windows device manager.
Please write down your Bluetooth address before starting earsing since Bluetooth address will be lost during erasing.
Start Realteks BeeMpTool.exe. Press the “Detect” button to detect the available COM ports.

Disable the checkboxes of the not required COM ports.

Press the “Open” button to open the COM port the BlueDev+S42M is connected to.

Enable the checkboxes “Patch”, “APP” and “Config” in the “Erase” area and press the
“Erase” button. Erasing will take some seconds.

After the software is erased successfully, the port is highlighted in green color.

Press the “Set” button, please check your Bluetooth address and press the “Confirm” button.
Close the window.

Press the “Download” button to download the software. Downloading will take some
seconds.

After the download is finished successfully, close the BeeMpTool.exe. Reset the board by pressing the RES button.
Troubleshooting
If some operation did not succeed reset the board by pressing the RES button, open the port again and repeat the operation.

6. REALTEK LOG TOOL

The red marked pin is the TX pin of Log UART, it is connected to RX pin of UART-to-USB adapter as shown in Figure 10. Log data shall be received from PC COM port.

7. TELIT SENSOR DEMO FOR REALTEK SDK
As described in [4] RTL8762A SDK User Guide EN chapter 5 SDK Directory Structure the Board sub-directory contains project files. In addition to the Realtek original SDK Telit provides a TelitSensor3ATH demo project. The corresponding source code is included in Source sub-directory.
