I. Introduction
Thank you for choosing TELIKOU intercom products. Our BK-100 belt packs have a range of up to 200 meters from the FT-800. Also, The FT800 can be connected RTS™ and ClearCom™ TWS, two-wire systems. Switcher tally is also an option. The FT-800 is suitable for television stations, communications centers, OB trucks, live performance venues and even sports facilities.
The FT-800 utilizes a 4-wire system for stable and reliable performance. Flexible configurations, easy operation, full-duplex communication, clear and loud communication and strong noise resistance are just a few of the advantages of the FT-800.
The FT-800 front panel has one headset connector for use by the operator.
II. Basic operation
1. Panel Mic Connector
6.35mm (1/4”) unbalanced microphone jack. The microphone type can be dynamic or electric. Telikou recommends the GDC-18 Dynamic Gooseneck Microphone.

2. Headset connector
The headset connector is located on the front panel and is available with either 4-pin XLR Male or 5-pin XLR FemaleXLR-4M/XLR-5F). Headset specifications:

3. Microphone Select Switch
Microphone select switch is used to activate panel microphone or headset microphone.
4. Volume Control
Use this control to adjust the audio level which heard from the headset or panel speaker.
5 Call button
Press the button will send the call signal to PL (Party Line) two wire channel, and the panel LED will illuminate.
6 Call LED
The LED will light when detecting the call signal from the PL channel.
7. Talk Button/Talk LED
Buttons 1~8 correspond to channels 1~8. Button Operation: Momentarily pressing the TALK button will activate the microphone until the button is released. To latch the microphone on, double-click the TALK button. A single click will toggle the talk function off. The LED will illuminate indicating the TALK function is active.
8. Program Feed To
Turn the switch on or off will send the external signal into intercom channels.
ON: When the switch is turned on, the LED at the right side will light. All the channels which
are set always receive external program signal.
OFF: When the switch is turned off, the LED at the right side will be off. External program
signal cannot be sent into system.
INT: All the channels receive external program signal. It will be interrupted when talk
switch is turned on.

9. Program Feed LED
This LED illuminates when Program Feed to switch handle is placed at ‘On’ and ‘Int’.
10. Program Level Control
Adjust program audio level heard on the intercom belt packs.
11. Power LED
Red LED will light when power supply switch is on..
12. Power Switch
The FT-800 is powered when the power switch is on.
13. Program Volume Control
Adjust program audio level heard on the intercom panel speaker or headset,.
14. ANN. Button
Press the ANNOUNCE button to make stage or PA system announcements. It directs the audio from the selected headset or panel microphone to the AnnOut rear panel connector.
15. Listen LED
Buttons 1~8 correspond to channels 1~8. Press the listen button to hear from the corresponding channel. The LED embedded in will light. Button Operation: Press the button, connecting the circuit, release the button,disconnecting the circuit; quick double-click, the circuit self-locking,press once again,the circuit unlocking Buttons 1~8 correspond to channels 1~8. Button Operation: Momentarily pressing the LISTEN button will open that channel until the button is released. To latch the channel on, double-click the LISTEN button. A single click will toggle the LISTEN function off. The LED will illuminate indicating the LISTEN function is active..
16. PL Indication LED
The LED will light when the PL button is pressed.
17. PL Channel Button
Self-locking button switch connects the FT-800 to standard 2-wire systems. The LED above will illuminate when activated.

18. Sidetone zero-adjusting
When connecting to a PL system, the sidetone null should be adjusted as follows:
1. Set the MIC select switch to HEADSET.
2. Turn on the PL channel switch and turn off the other channels.
3. Adjust the audio of headset to an appropriate level.
4. Speak into the headset while turning the sidetone null control slowly back and forth. There should be a point where your voice (and any accompanying acoustic feedback) is the lowest. This is the null point.
5. After adjusting FT-800 sidetone, turn off PL switch and adjust the sidetone of other equipment.
19. Panel Mic Gain
It is used to adjust the panel microphone gain. It has preset with electret microphone.

21. Tally In
DB9 pin definition:
Pin 1 --- Tally signal to channel 1 Pin 2 --- Tally signal to channel 2 Pin 3 --- Tally signal to channel 3 Pin 4 --- Tally signal to channel 4 Pin 5 --- Tally signal to channel 5 Pin 6 --- Tally signal to channel 6 Pin 7 --- Tally signal to channel 7 Pin 8 --- Tally signal to channel 8 Pin 9 --- Common The low level is effective for Pin1 to Pin8.
22. Intercom Line connector and Cable Wiring
XLR-5F connector. The pin out of connectors is as follows:
Pin 1 --- Audio Input -; (or Ground) Pin 2 --- Audio Input +;

Pin 3 --- Audio Output -; Pin 4 --- Audio Output +; Pin 5 ---Tally Signal Drive;
23. PL line connector
Balanced audio input, XLR-3F connector. The pin out of connectors is as follows:
Pin 1 --- Common (Shield) Pin 2 --- 24VDC; Pin 3 --- Audio;-
24. Program Input
The external program signal is sent into intercom line through this connector when Program Feed To Switch is turned on. XLR-3F connector accepts balanced signal. Pin out is as follow:
Pin 1 --- Common (Shield) Pin 2 --- + Audio Pin 3 --- - Audio
25. Stage Announce Out
This connector is a XLR-3M. It sent microphone audio signal out through this connector. The output is balanced signal. The pin out is as follows: Pin 1 --- Common (Shield) Pin 2 --- +Audio Pin 3 --- -Audio

2. Inductive pickup caused by close proximity to power lines or transformers.
3. Intercom line cable is not wired properly; the shield of microphone cable is not connected to Pin-1 of XLR3.

3. Rewire or change the cable.
Audio levels distorted. Audio levels too low
Signal levels are too high or too low
Adjust the FM-804 gain button at the rear panel. Change the input or output level.
