The ALP-600 is a broad band bi-directional log pe ri odic an tenna. It will re ceive any fre quency from
520 to 760 MHz. The “gain” of this an tenna en ables
it to re ceive sig nals from a greater dis tance than a
typ i cal “whip” type an tenna.

An tenna Place ment
The ALP-600 should be placed in a po si tion that
has a clear view of the trans mit ter(s) for best re sults. Ob struc tions such as walls, ceil ings, and
metal ob jects will re duce range and per for mance.
An tenna Mount ing
The ALP-600 is sup plied with hard ware for tu bu lar
clamp ing. It should al ways be mounted ver ti cally
with the ground and per pen dic u lar to the trans mit ter(s), See Fig ure 1.

Clamps
Clamps are pro vided for mount ing the ALP-600
onto the an tenna mast. At tach the clamps with the
hard ware sup plied. See Fig ure 5.

Coax Ca ble
Do not clamp the an tenna to hor i zon tal metal ob jects that ex tend past the clamp. This will de tune
the an tenna and cause loss of range and per for mance.
For best re sults, it is rec om mended that ca ble losses
be kept un der 4 dB. (Ev ery 3 dB of sig nal loss re sults in a sys tem op er at ing dis tance re duc tion of
25%).
