1.Introduction of the Wireless Internet USB Modem
1.1 Introduction
The Wireless internet USB Modem is based on the CDMA 1X/EVDO network wireless
internet modem. It utilizes the USB interface and it can be easily inserted into a USB port on a
computer. Through the CDMA 1X/EVDO mobile network, both text receipt and data services can
be received at any time, from any location.*
1.2Safety Warnings and Precautions
Personal Use
Use of RF devices, including this wireless internet modem, may possibly cause interference
on electronics with inadequate shielding, such as certain electronic systems in motorized
vehicles. When necessary, please inquire to the manufacturer about said equipment before
using this wireless internet modem.
Please note the following when using this wireless internet modem with certain medical
devices, such as hearing aids and pacemakers: Maintain a distance of 20 cm between the
wireless internet modem and such medical devices. Turn off the wireless network modem
when necessary. If you have any other questions, please inquire to the manufacturer of the
device for more information before using the wireless internet modem.
Please note that use of the wireless internet modem may be restricted in locations with

Notes for use on Airplanes
Please turn off the wireless internet modem prior to takeoff. To prevent interference with
the onboard communication system, in-flight use of the wireless internet modem is
prohibited. Before takeoff, please use in accordance with safety regulations and as
permitted by crew members.

2.3 Hardware Installation
Plug the wireless internet modem into the computer:
Plug the wireless internet modem into a USB port on the computer. The LED indicator on
the wireless internet modem will initially turn red to note power. The LED will turn blue when
connected to the network and will indicate the following status.
Red: no service, modem is not connected to the network
Steady blue: modem is ready for use, but it is not connected to the Internet.
Quick blinking blue: modem is connected to the Internet and is active. You are using the
connection.
Slow blinking blue: modem is connected to the Internet, but is dormant. You are not
using the connection.
2.4 Software Installation
All software needed to run the modem has been preinstalled into the modem itself. No
additional disks or drivers are needed.
Plug the Wireless internet USB Modem into a USB port on the computer. If the computer
supports automatic installation, the following installation interface will be displayed.
If the computer does not support automatic installation, please execute autorun.exe from
the device automatically generated by the system in “My Computer”.
The following installation interface will appear and the installation will start.
