UPON ACCEPTANCE, THIS LI CENCE WILL BE A LEGALLY BIN DING AGREEMENT BETWEEN YOU AND WORLDGATE SERVICE, INC. THE TERMS OF THIS LIC ENCE APPLY TO YOU AND TO ANY SUBSEQUENT USER OF THI S SOFTWARE.

The Software includes associated media, any printed materials, and any on lin e or e lec tr oni c doc ume nt atio n. S of twa re p rov ide d by t hir d parties may be subje ct to separate end-use r licence agreements from the manufact urers of such Softwa re. This Licence shall a lso apply to any updates, bug fi xes, or newer versions of the software provided by WorldGat e for use with this pr oduct.
The Software is ne ver sold. WorldGate Servic e, Inc. licenses the Software to the original customer and to any subsequent licencee for personal use on ly on the terms of this Licence. WorldG ate Service, Inc. , and its third-part y licensors retain the ow nership of the Software an d are consider ed third-par ty benefi ciaries under this Licence, with full r ight to enforce the o bligations con tained herein .
The Software is p rotected by patents , copyright, and oth er intellectual property laws and international treaty provisions. You are hereby granted a personal, non-transferrable, nonexclusive, revocable licence t o use the Software (w ithout making any modifi cation thereto or copies thereof), solely as reasonably required for your lega l and proper use of the Video Pho ne, and on the terms and cond itions hereinafte r set forth. Except for t his specifi c licence, no interest, right, or licence, express or implied, is granted in or to the Sof tware, and all such o ther interests, r ights, and licences are her eby reserved by WorldG ate Service, Inc., a nd its licensors.
The Ojo Video Phone h as been designed for use with a Vide o Phone service su ch as the Ojo Video Phone ser vice provided by Ojo Service LLC (“Oj o Service”). If yo u decide to use the Oj o Video Phone with any ser vice or applicat ion not provided by Oj o Service, you warrant and rep resent that you possess all re quired rights, including require d licences, to use the Ojo Vi deo Phone with the non-Ojo service or application, and that the service or application is compatible with t he Ojo Video Phone. You may no t: (1) change the electronic serial number or any equipment identifi er associated with the Ojo Video Pho ne; (2) loan, distribute, re nt, lease, give, sublicence, or oth erwise trans fer the Softwa re, in whole or in par t, to any other person, s eparate from th e Product, and t hen only to a person who agrees to be bound by the terms and conditions of this Licence Agreement; (3) copy or translate the Users Guide included with the Product, o ther than for person al use; (4) copy, trans late, disassemble, reverse-engineer, alter, modify, or tamper with the Software, incl uding, but not limited to, modif ying the Software to make it operate on non -compatible hard ware; (5) disassem ble, reverse-engin eer, alter, modify, or tamper with the Ojo Vid eo Phone or any security controls contained therein, without express written permis sion from Ojo Serv ice in each instanc e; (6) remove, alter, or cause not to be dis played, any co pyright notic es or start-u p message containe d in the Software progr ams or documentation ; and (7) export the S oftware o r the Produc t component s in violati on of any United States exp ort laws.
The Product is not de signed or inte nded for use in on -line contro l of aircraft, air traffi c, aircraft navigation or aircraft communications; or in design, construction, operation, or maintenance of any nuclear facility. WO RLDGATE AND ITS THIRD-PART Y LICENSORS DISCLAIM ANY EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTY OF FITNESS FOR SUCH USES. YOU REPRESENT AND WARRANT THAT YOU SHALL NOT USE THE PRODUCT FOR SU CH PURPOSES.
You acknowledge and u nderstand that the Oj o Video Phone may not function in the e vent of power failure or a failure of your communication ne twork. A power or network fai lure may also require a reset or reco nfi guration of the Ojo Video Phone .

SOME OF THIS DATA MAY BE STORED AND USED, FOR EXAMPLE, AS PART OF AN ADDRESS BOO K, VOICE AND VIDEO ME SSAGING APPLICATIONS, AND OTHER USES DISCUSSED IN THE USER GUIDE FOR THE OJO VIDEO PHONE . IF YOU DO NOT WISH YOUR IM AGE AND/OR VOICE TO BE CAP TURED, YOU CAN USE THE VIDEO PRIVACY AND AUDIO MUTE FE ATURES CONTAINED WITHI N THE OJO VIDEO PHONE. Your Ojo Video Phone is con nected to and uses pu blic communication networks in order to transmit communications. You acknowledge and ag ree that these networ ks may be subject to security breac hes that are outside of any reas onable control by Ojo or anyone else. Fo r example, you may receive ca lls from third parties who h ave received your number fr om unauthorised sources or who call y ou by accident or through m ethods such as random telephone numbers generation. Some of these incoming calls may be undesi red and/or may contain conte nt which may be objectionable or improper. Although we endeavour to prohibit the improper use of th e Ojo Video Phone th rough our licenc es and other agreement s with our users, c urrent communi cation networ k technology can not necessarily predict or pre vent such calls or otherwise preve nt security br eaches.
In order for you to be prov ided with the most current fea tures and Software ava ilable for the Ojo Video Phon e, the Ojo Video Phone has been confi gured to permit automatic downloa ds of the latest soft ware. Any obligation to p rovide such download s is, however, expressly di sclaimed, and to the ex tent any downloads are performed they will be performed solely at the discretion of Ojo Service. If Ojo elec ts to pro vide suc h downlo ads, we wi ll endeav our to conduct the down loads during no n-peak hours a nd otherwise i n a manner to minimise a ny disruption of your u se of the Ojo Video Phone; however, no assurance can be made that such downloads will not result in an interruption of your communication network and your ability to ma ke and/or receive c alls as discu ssed above.

IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
When using OjoTM, follow these safety p recautions to red uce the risk of fi re, electric shock , and injury to pers ons or propert y:
1. Kee p all vents and openi ngs of the phone unbl ocked. Do not set the ph one on a heating regist er or over a radiator. Ensure th at proper ventilati on is provided at the ins tallation site.
2. Do n ot use while wet or while s tanding in water.
3. Do n ot use this product ne ar water (for example, n ear a bath tub, kitchen si nk, or swimming po ol).
4. Do n ot allow anything to re st on the power cord. Pl ace the power cord so th at it will not be walked on .
5. Nev er insert object s of any kind into the pro duct vents.
6. Un plug this product fro m the wall outlet befor e cleaning. Do not use li quid cleaners or aer osol cleaners. Use a damp cloth for cleani ng.
7. Do n ot disassemble thi s product. If ser vice or repair work i s required, contac t WorldGate.
8. Do n ot overload wall outl ets and extensio n cords.
9. Avoi d using during an elec trical storm. Us e a surge protector to p rotect the equipme nt.
10. Do not use Ojo to report a gas lea k.
Unplug Ojo immedi ately from the outl et if:
• The power cord or plug is da maged or frayed.
• Liquid has been spill ed onto the product .
• The product has bee n exposed to rain or wa ter. Do not retrieve the han dset or base until af ter you have unplugged the p ower and phone from th e wall. Then retr ieve the unit by the unplug ged cords.
• The product has bee n dropped or the hou sing has been damage d.
INSTALLATION GUIDELINES
1. Rea d and follow all instru ctions and save them fo r future reference.
2. Fol low all warnings and i nstructions mar ked on the product .
3. Do n ot install this prod uct near a bathtub, sin k, or shower.
4. Use o nly the power supply t hat came with this unit o r an authorised rep lacement recomm ended by the manufacturer. Using ot her power supplies m ay damage the unit. If yo u are unsure of the power s upply to your home, consult you r dealer or local powe r company.
5. Do n ot place this produc t on an unstable car t, stand, or tab le. This product ma y fall, causing ser ious damage to the produc t.
6. Adju st only those contro ls that are covered by t he operating inst ructions. Impr oper adjustment of o ther controls may result i n damage and will ofte n require extensi ve work to restore the pr oduct to normal op eration.
7. Cle an this product wit h a soft, damp cloth . Do not use chemical s or cleaning agent s to clean this phone.
8. Be cause Ojo requires AC po wer to operate, you sho uld have at least one cord ed phone in your home in case the power goes o ut.
9. To avoid inte rference to near by appliances, do no t place the base of Ojo’s displ ay unit on or near a TV, microwave oven, VCR, wire less router, or cordles s phone base.
BATTERY SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
• Do not burn, disass emble, mutilate, or pu ncture the batte ry or battery p ack. The batter ies contain toxic materials that c ould be released, re sulting in injury.
• Caution: There is a r isk of explosion if you rep lace the batterie s with an incorrec t battery type . Use only the battery pack t hat came with your ph one or an authorise d replacement rec ommended by the man ufacturer.
• Keep batteries and ba ttery packs o ut of the reach of childre n.
• Remove the battery p acks if storing th e product over 30 days .
• Do not dispose of batte ries or battery p acks in fi re; this could result in explosio n.
• The rechargeable ba tteries that powe r this product must b e disposed of proper ly and may need to be rec ycled. Refer to your battery p ack’s label for batter y type. Contac t your local recycli ng centre for proper dis posal methods.

Can’t make a call?
Check the screen. Are there any of t hese messages?
‘Please plug in the network cable. Press LEFT ARROW’
• Is the bro adband connection working? With all th e indicator lights on the broadband router showing activity?
• Is the eth ernet cable plugged into the back of your Telecom Ojo and into you r broadband router?
• If so, then p ress the left arrow; this will reboot the vid eo phone.
‘Please restart your modem, router/gateway, and Ojo – in that order’
If this message comes up, follow these s teps:
• Remove the p ower cord from the back of your Telecom Ojo
• Reb oot your broadband router; usually this just m eans turning the power off and on again
• Once th e router has rebooted, plug the power back into your Ojo, and let it r un through its normal automatic set up p rocess.
Still can’t connec t?
If you still can’t connect, although eve rything appears to be connec ted and there are no error messages showing, try these remedies:
• Call th e test number ‘888 TALK’; if it’s working you’ll get a recorded message
• That me ans that the connection is working. Try makin g your call again to another Ojo.
Still not connecting? Try this.
If you still can’t connect, follow thes e steps, starting in the Main Menu:
• Main Menu <select> Connection <select> Profi le <select> use the arrows to change to Low <select> then save this change with the left arrow
• Try the tes t number 888 again. If you get the recorded me ssage try calling another Ojo again.
If you still can’t connect, go back into t he Main Menu, and follow these steps:
• Main Men u <select> Connection <select> then use t he arrows to scroll to the bottom of screen and highlight ‘ Reset Connection’ <select>
• Once th e Ojo’s connection has reset itself and you’ve returned to the main scree n, call 888 to see if it’s working. Try calling an other Ojo again.

There are a few things you’ll need before installing your Telecom Ojo Video Phone
• A residentia l broadband connection with a router
• An acce ss line
• Your Visa® or Maste rCard®
• The Ojo’s 12-digit Unit ID number. You’ll fi nd this on the bottom of your Telecom Ojo
Install a router (If you’ve already got a router or gateway
installed, skip this and go to Step 3.)
• Inst all your router in accordance with its set up instr uctions
• Ensure your b roadband connection is working through yo ur router – to do this simply go online and visit telecom.co. nz
If you’re a Telecom Xtra Broadband customer a nd have any problems, just call us . It’s a dedicated helpdesk. Just dial 0800 667 34 6.
IF YOU’RE WITH A DIFFERENT BROAD BAND PROVIDER THEIR HELPD ESK SHOULD BE ABLE TO HELP.
Connect the Telecom Ojo Video Phone to your router
• Take the ethernet c able provided and plug one end of it into the router port on the back of your Telecom Ojo (see dia gram)
• Plug the othe r end into an open port on your router (see diagr am)
Power up your Telecom Ojo Video Phone
• Plug the power b lock into the power cord
• Plug the othe r end into a power socket
• Plug the power co nnector of the power block into the “12V” port on the back of your Telecom Ojo (see diagram)
• Your Telecom Ojo start-up seque nce has begun. It’s going to take 2 to 3 minutes
NOTE: IF A PROBLEM IS IDEN TIFIED ON SCREEN, DURI NG STEP 5, AN OJO REPRESENTATIVE WILL BE ABLE TO A SSIST YOU.
Activate your Telecom Ojo Video Phone
Time to make your fi rst call. Call a Telecom Ojo representa tive on the number below to have your ser vice activated. Your Telecom Ojo uses the same phone numbe r as your home phone for making video calls, so you have to make you r call from your home phone number to have your service ac tivated.

Recording a video greeting (You don’t have to, but you can.)
The Telecom Ojo has the ability to receive and record mes sages. If you’d like to record a video greeting, just follow these steps . Your video greeting can be up to 30 seconds long.
• On the H ome screen, highlight Main Menu and press SEL ECT
• In the Mai n Menu, highlight Messaging and press SELEC T
• Once you’re in the Me ssaging Menu, highlight Record Greeting and press SELECT
• Press SELEC T again to record your greeting (press SELECT once more to end recording)
• Then , in the Messaging Menu, highlight Review Greeting and press SELECT
IF YOU’RE NOT HAPPY WITH YOUR GR EETING, FOLLOW THESE S TEPS UNTIL YOU’VE RECORDED ON E YOU LIKE.
Now, let’s make a video call
To use your Telecom Ojo for video calls, the other par ty has to have an Ojo Video Phone too. Here we go!
• Move the ca mera slider all the way across to the right
• Enter the p hone number of the person you’re calling
• Press TALK; a screen w ill appear showing the number you’ve just dialled
• When it a nswers at the other end, you’ll be able to hear the person, but you won’t be able to see them until t hey’ve pressed SELECT on the Ojo at their end
Have a video phone conversa tion. To fi nish, just press END.
NOTE: IF THE PICTUR E OF THE PERSON YOU’VE C ALLED LOOKS TOO DARK, ASK THEM TO ADJUST THEIR LI GHTING, AND IF YOU LOOK TOO DAR K IN YOUR VIDEO SELF-IMAGE, YOUR LI GHTING COULD ALSO NE ED ADJUSTING.
