system (Option W2K) onto your TDS5000, TDS6000, CSA7000 & TDS7000
Series oscilloscopes. Once installed the oscilloscope will operate using
Windows 2000.

Windows 2000 Installation
BIOS Update
To install Windows 2000 follow these steps:
CAUTION. To avoid data loss, back up any important user files stored on the hard
disk. This operating system restoration process reformats the hard disk, which
erases any user-installed files and applications.
1. Install the new TDS5000 or TDS6000, CSA7000, TDS7000 Series Windows
2000 Operating System Restore CD. Follow the instructions provided with
the Windows 2000 Operating system CD.
2. Install the new TDS5000 or TDS6000, CSA7000, TDS7000 Series Product
Software CD. Follow the instructions provided with the
Product software CD.
3. Install the Optional Applications Software on Windows--Based Oscillo-
scopes CD. Follow the instructions provided with the software CD.
TDS6000, TDS7000 & CSA7000 only: To update the instrument BIOS, follow
the instructions in the Instructions.txt file on the BIOS Update CD.
