Multi-Frequency C-V Meter

Description

The Keithley Instruments PCT-CVU is a capacitance-voltage (C-V) instrument sold as an accessory to the
Model 2600-PCT-xB line of parametric curve tracers. The instrument consists of a Keithley Instruments Model
4200A-SCS Parameter Analyzer with a factory-installed 4215-CVU C-V measurement card.

The PCT-CVU is a specifically-configured Model 420 0 A-SCS. You cannot install other 42xx cards in
the instrument. Contact your Keithley Instruments applications engineer for details.

PCT-CVU software

The PCT-CVU has the Clarius+ measurement software installed.
You can also install Keithley’s Automated Characterization Suite (ACS) Basic Edition. Optimized for parametric

testing of component and discrete (packaged) semiconductor devices, ACS Basic Edition maximizes the
productivity of technicians and engineers in research and development. A trial version of ACS Basic Edition is
available at tek.com/keithley

C-V measurements

If a bias voltage of less than 30 V is required, a bias tee kit is not necessary.
If you have a Model 8010 Test Fixture, for bias voltages between 30 V and 3 kV, use the CVU-3K-KIT. For

bias voltages up to 400 V, use the CVU-200-KIT.
If you are connecting to a probe station or other test fixture through a Model 8020 High Power Interface Panel,

use the integrated bias tees of the 8020-CVU to enable high-voltage capacitance measurements.
When a bias tee option is used with the PCT-CVU for C-V measurements, either ACS Basic Edition or ACS

standard software is required.
