This kit provides a document with your option authorization key and instructions
to upgrade your MTX100B MPEG Recorder & Player, RTX100B ISDB-T RF
Signal Generator, and RTX130B QAM & VSB RF Signal Generator to Option
SC (Scheduler software).
These instructions apply for the MTX10UPSC, RTX10UPSC, and RTX13UPSC
software field upgrades.

Installation Instructions
This section provides information on how to enable the Scheduler software on
your MTX100B MPEG Recorder & Player, RTX100B ISDB-T RF Signal
Generator, and RTX130B QAM & VSB RF Signal Generator.
For information on how to use the Scheduler software, refer to the MTX100B
MPEG Recorder & Player User Manual (Tektronix part number 071-1927-XX),
RTX100B RF Signal Generator User Manual (Tektronix part number
071-1930-XX), or RTX130B QAM & VSB RF Signal Generator User Manual
(Tektronix part number 071-1933-XX).
Entering the Option Key
Perform the following steps to enter the option key that is supplied with the
upgrade kit. This enables the Scheduler software on the instrument.
1. Connect a keyboard and mouse to the USB connectors of the instrument
(if they are not already installed).
2. Power on the instrument, and wait for it to boot.
3. In the Play screen, select Utility > Option Key to open the Option Key
dialog box. See Figure 1.

4. Consult the option key document that is supplied with the kit and identify
the option key numbers.
5. Enter the four 5-character alphanumeric numbers in the Option Key entry
fields, and then click the Update button.
6. Remove the protective backing from the label marked “Option SC” and
apply it to the right side of the cabinet.
Verifying the Software Upgrade
Perform the following steps to verify that the software upgrade was successful:
1. Select File > Scheduler in the Play screen.
2. Verify that the Scheduler application window opens.
3. Exit the Scheduler application.
