WARRANTY
Warranty
Tektronix warrants that this product will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of shipment. If any such product proves defective during this warranty period, Tektronix, at its option, either will repair the defective product without charge for parts and labor, or will provide a replacement in exchange for the defective product. Parts, modules and replacement products used by Tektronix for warranty work may be new or reconditioned to like new performance. All replaced parts, modules and products become the prop erty of Tektronix.
In order to obtain service under this warranty, Customer must notify Tektronix of the defect before the expiration of the warranty period and make suitable arrangements for the performance of service. Customer shall be respon­sible for packaging and shipping the defective product to the service center designated by Tektronix, with shipping charges prepaid. Tektronix shall pay for the return of the product to Customer if the shipment is to a location within the country in which the Tektronix service center is located. Customer shall be responsible for paying all shipping charges, duties, taxes, and any other charges for products returned to any other locations.
This warranty shall not apply to any defect, failure or damage caused by improper use or improper or inadequate maintenance and care. Tektronix shall not be obligated to furnish service under this warranty a) to repair damage resulting from attempts by personnel other than Tektronix representatives to install, repair or service the product; b) to repair damage resulting from improper use or connection to incompatible equipment; c) to repair any damage or malfunction caused by the use of non-Tektronix supplies; or d) to service a product that has been modified or integrated with other products when the effect of such modification or integration increases the time or difficulty of servicing the product.

Introduction
This manual tells how to mount a DPO7000 series device to either a K420 cart or LACART using the provided brackets.
Assembly will require approximately 15 minutes.
Tools
Mounting hardware is provided with the brackets.
You will need to provide a Phillips screwdriver and an 11/32” nut driver, wrench, or small crescent wrench for the 8-32 nuts listed below.
Parts Identification
The brackets are packed separately in the shipping carton. A bag of small parts is also packed in the box. Figure 1 on page 2 show the parts you will be using.
Table 1 below lists all the parts needed to assemble the brackets, including hardware. Take an inventory now to familiarize yourself with the parts for the assembly process.

Install Brackets On Device
Begin by mounting the brackets to the device. You will use these parts:
4 8-32 x 3/8” Pan Head Screw With Lockwasher
1 Right Bracket
1 Left Bracket
You will use a Phillips screwdriver to install these parts onto the device.
1. The brackets are mounted near the sides of the device using the holes in the bottom of the device as shown in Figure 3. Device is shown from the rear. Be careful to put each bracket on the correct side. Also note that the front feet must be in the open position to install the brackets.

2. Once the brackets are in place tighten screws using the Philips screwdriver.

Install On Cart (Option #1, Rearward)
To install the instrument to the cart you will need the following items:
2 8-32 x 3/8” Pan Head Screw With Lockwasher
2 Hex Nut
2 10-32 x 3/8” Pan Head Screw With Lockwasher
You will use a Philips screwdriver and an 11/32” nut driver or wrench to install these parts
1. Place device, with mounting brackets installed, onto cart in orientation shown in Figure 6 below.
2. Place the device so the rear holes in the brackets align with the 10-32 holes in the top shelf of the cart starting
with the left bracket. The correct rearward hole is marked with an ‘R’ on the left bracket. Install the 10-32 screw with the Phillips screwdriver but leave slightly loose. Repeat this step for right bracket.
3. Fasten an 8-32 screw through the forward hole in the left bracket, marked with an ‘R’, and through the slot in the cart top, to the hex nut. Repeat this step for the forward hole in the right bracket.
4. Tighten all screws.

Install On Cart (Option #2, Forward)
To install the instrument to the cart you will need the following items:
2 8-32 x 3/8” Pan Head Screw With Lockwasher
2 Hex Nut
2 10-32 x 3/8” Pan Head Screw With Lockwasher
You will use a Philips screwdriver and an 11/32” nut driver or wrench to install these parts
1. Place device, with mounting brackets installed, onto cart in orientation shown in Figure 6 below.
2. Place the device so the front holes in the brackets align with the 10-32 holes in the top shelf of the cart starting
with the left bracket. The correct forward hole is marked with an ‘F’ on the left bracket. Install the 10-32 screw with the Phillips screwdriver but leave slightly loose. Repeat this step for right bracket.
3. Fasten an 8-32 screw through the rearward hole in the left bracket, marked with an ‘F’, and through the slot in the cart top, to the hex nut. Repeat this step for the rearward hole in the right bracket.
4. Tighten all screws.
