
xx HCTEK54 Transit Case
The HCTEK54 is a ruggedized transit case specifically
designed to provide travel and storage protection. The case
protects instruments from shock, vibration, and moisture with
room for accessories, such as probes, adapters, and manuals.
The HCTEK54 case accommodates the following product
series:
MSO4000B, D PO4000B Series
MSO5000, DPO5000 Series
Other features include an air pressure equalization control valve
for use during air transport and
(locks not included).
The HCTEK54 consists of a heavy duty outer shell and an inner
layer of foam. The inner foam consists of a permanent ring of
foam and one removable foam piece.

Warranty
Tektronix warrants that the product will be free from defects
in materials and workmanship for a period of three (3) months
from the date of original purchase from an authorized Tektronix
distributor. If the product proves defective during this warranty
period, Tektronix, at its option, either will repair the defective
product without charge for parts and labor, or will provide a
replacement in exchange for the defective product. Batteries are
excluded from this warranty. Parts, modules and replacement
products used by Tektronix for warranty work may be new or
reconditioned to like new performance. All replaced parts,
modules and products become the property of Tektronix.
In order to obtain service under this warranty, Customer
must notify Tektronix of the defect before the expiration of
the warranty period and make suitable arrangements for the
performance of service. Customer shall be responsible for
packaging and shipping the defective product to the service
center designated by Tektronix, shipping charges prepaid, and
with a copy of customer proof of purchase. Tektronix shall pay
for the return of the product to Customer if the shipment is to
a location within the country in which the Tektronix service
center is located. Customer shall be responsible for paying
all shipping charges, duties, taxes, and any other charges for
products returned to any other locations.

Using the HCTEK54 with MSO5000 and DPO5000 Series
Oscilloscopes
1. Open the transit case by unsnapping the four latches.
2. Fold the oscilloscope handle down.
3. With the oscilloscope pouch facing forward, place the
oscilloscope into the transit case.
4. Close the transit case and snap the four latches closed.
5. To secure the transit case, fasten a lock through the
security rings.
6. If the instrument is to be transported via aircraft, open
the air pressure control valve to allow for pressure
equalization.
