Product Overview
This option exchanges a standard internal hard disk for a
removable hard disk. Using this option improves the
portability, handling and security of data.
Preparation for Use
Power of f the AWG710B when you remo ve or insert
a disk cartridge.
The AWG710B does not start up without a disk
cartridge.
Use only the disk cartridge and drive specified for
this product.
NOTE. Refer to the AWG710B Arbitrary Waveform
Generator User manual for more information on the
AWG710B.

Only qualified personnel should perform service procedures.
To Avoid Fire or Personal Injury
Do Not Operate Without Covers.
Do not operate this product with covers or panels removed.
Avoid Exposed Circuitry.
Do not touch exposed connections and components when
power is present.
Do Not Operate With Suspected Failures.
If you suspect there is damage to this product, have it inspected
by qualified service personnel.
Do Not Operate In Wet/Damp Conditions.
Do Not Operate In An Explosive Atmosphere.
Keep Product Surfaces Clean and Dry.
Provide Proper Ventilation.
Refer to the manual’s installation instructions for details on
installing the product so it has proper ventilation.
Description of Operation
CAUTION. Be fore you remove or insert a disk
cartridge, make sure that the instrument is
powered off.
Remove a removable hard disk assembly
1. T o release a remov able hard disk assembly , push the
release button then pull and extend the eject knobs to
the outside.
2. Holding the eject knobs, pull out a removable hard
disk assembly calmly.
Insert a removable hard disk assembly
1. Check that the eject knobs are released.
2. Insert a removable hard disk assembly firmly
according to the guide of a removable hard disk
assembly bay.

3. Push the eject knobs to lock a removable hard disk
assembly.
Storage a removable hard disk assembly
A hard disk drive is extremely susceptible to
static-discharge damage, shock, dust and so on. When
you keep a removable hard disk assembly simple
substance, please put it into an anti-static plastic bag to
prevent it from those damages.
Optional Accessory
The following accessory is recommended for and only
for use with the additional removable hard disk
assembly.
