Model 8503 DIN to BNC T rigger Cable
Description
Use the Model 8503 DIN to BNC Trigger Cable to connect the Model 2000 Multimeter with an y instrument having BNC trigger connectors rather than micro DIN trigger connectors. One end of the Model 8503 is an 8-pin micro DIN connector, to be con­nected to the Model 2000 Multimeter. The other end is split into tw o BNC connectors, one being specified as the connector for VMC, or Voltmeter Complete (output), and the other being specified as the connector for EXT TRIG, or External Trigger (in­put).
In its factory configuration, the trigger link connector for the Model 2000 is wired so that only pins 1 and 2 are functional. Pin 1 is used for the VMC output, while pin 2 is for the EXT TRIG input.
The Model 8503 is 1 meter long and is depicted in Figure 1. Figure 2 shows the pinout for the Model 2000 rear panel trigger link connector.

* Either pin 3 or 5 may be configured as an output instead of pin 1. Either pin 4 or 6 may be configured as an input instead of pin 2. See the optional Model 2000 Repair Manual for details.
