
Model 8503 DIN to BNC T rigger Cable
Description
Use the Model 8503 DIN to BNC Trigger Cable to connect the Model 2000 Multimeter with an y instrument having BNC trigger
connectors rather than micro DIN trigger connectors. One end of the Model 8503 is an 8-pin micro DIN connector, to be connected to the Model 2000 Multimeter. The other end is split into tw o BNC connectors, one being specified as the connector for
VMC, or Voltmeter Complete (output), and the other being specified as the connector for EXT TRIG, or External Trigger (input).
In its factory configuration, the trigger link connector for the Model 2000 is wired so that only pins 1 and 2 are functional. Pin
1 is used for the VMC output, while pin 2 is for the EXT TRIG input.
The Model 8503 is 1 meter long and is depicted in Figure 1. Figure 2 shows the pinout for the Model 2000 rear panel trigger
link connector.
