The lead set includes:
Two test leads, red and bla ck
Two test clips, red and black
Two plunger clip adapters, red and black
Two alligator clips with boots that accept a standard test probe tip
Two alligator clips with boots that accept standard banana plugs

Characteristics

Test leads: 36 in. (0.9 m)

Connection instructions

The Model 5804 test probes have very sharp tips. Use caution when handling these probes.
Proper connection of the test leads is important to making a good measurement. Improperly connected test leads will give a zero resistance reading or an over loa d or overflo w indic at ion when con nected to the unknown.
To connect the Model 5804 lead set to an instrument:
For dual banana plug connections, the tab side of the plug should face the source terminal.
Connect the red dual banana plug to Force HI and Sense HI.
Connect the black dual banana plug to Force LO and Sense HI.
The single banana jack corresponds to the tab side of the dual banana plug. When the tab side of the test leads is connected the Force terminal, the Force LO terminal corresponds to the
single banana plug on the Model 5804.

When you use the Model 5804 test leads to measure resistance with a source-measure instrument or a DMM, they measure the resistance between the Sense probes. If you use the test leads to measure voltage, the voltage is measured between the Sense probes.
