H Phillips (P1) screwdriver to tighten the
screws
H Optional: A torque wrench helps to ensure
reliable connections by meeting the nominal
torque values. When attaching screws use
8 in-lbs of torque.
Overview
Use this instruction sheet to install the heat sink
hardware. To install the probe head use the
installation instructions in the TMSST2 LGA771
and 775 Socket Hardware Support Manual
(Tektronix part number 071-1665-XX).
CAUTION. Only qualified service personnel
should install these parts.
Procedure
Y ou need to power off the target system and
remove the heat sink and power pod before
installing the heat sink hardware.
To install the heat sink hardware, follow the steps
in this illustration.

standoffs
onto the
screws as
shown.
