L12 SEEKER
™
12-WATT LED Dive Light
Tektite continues to demonstrate its leadership in the development of LED dive lights with their
new 12-Watt L12 Seeker, the most powerful LED dive light in the world.
The L12 Seeker utilizes three Luxeon III Star LEDs each operating at 4 Watts to produce more
than 240 Lumens of blistering white light that is equivalent to a 10-Watt HID / 30-Watt Halogen dive light.
A special tri-lens optic produces a smooth, 12º spot beam that pierces through murky water with minimal
backscatter. The L12 Seeker’s smooth hot spot is surrounded by a large corona of light that gives divers
excellent peripheral visibility.
Divers will appreciate the benefits of the solar-quality (5,500K) white light produced by the L12
Seeker. This high-quality light drastically improves the visualization of color and contrast that is lost at
depth, making the L12 Seeker an excellent choice of underwater videography and photography.
Another benefit of the L12 Seeker compared to HID and Halogen dive lights is its extreme
ruggedness. The L12 Seeker is no fragile light; it’s double O-ring sealed throughout, and is made from
aircraft-grade Aluminum and high-impact grades of PVC and LEXAN
indestructible and last 50,000 hours, so you’ll never have to worry about a bulb breaking or burning out
again. This built-in safety feature makes the L12 Seeker a perfect match for the demanding needs of
cave, wreck, technical and professional divers.
The L12 Seeker is powered by an advanced submersible battery system that delivers 4+ hours of
burn time. Its NiMH battery pack is smaller, lighter and more powerful than other battery systems, and it
has no cell memory, built-in thermal/high current protection, twice the charge cycle life and burn time of
NiCad batteries, and the ability to withstand high charge/discharge currents. The battery canister is made
of highly durable PVC and comes with captive double O-ring "screw on" lids, a heavy-duty switch and
right angle strain relief. A Smart Trickle Charger (STC) is included with the L12 Seeker. The STC comes
with a universal power supply that accommodates an input voltage of 100 to 260 VAC at 50 or 60 Hz.

Divers will be able to configure the L12 Seeker to suit their preferences. The battery pack can be
belt, tank or BC mounted, while a quick-release pistol grip handle is standard equipment. With optional
equipment, the L12 Seeker can be mounted onto most video and camera housings (a diffuser lens is also
available). Divers can also request a permanent wide-angle tri-lens optic (30º or 40º) that makes the L12
Seeker a super-wide floodlight.
Specifications:
The L12 Seeker has a utilizes a fixed 12º optic that produces a smooth beam of blistering white light,
without hot spots or rings.

Tektite L12 Seeker LED Light System Instructions
Your L12 Seeker comes with the battery disconnected and uncharged. Follow these directions to set up
your new light:
CHARGING INSTRUCTIONS
1) To open the battery canister, slide the supplied “Pin wrench” partway out of the bottom lid hole
and use it for leverage to loosen the lid.
2) The battery should only be accessed through the bottom lid.
Removal of the top lid could cause twisting and damage to the wiring.
3) The lid has two O-rings—the thicker O-ring is placed in the groove and the thinner O-ring at the
top.
4) The battery will be unplugged. Gently move the plugs out of the way of the battery, and remove
battery from canister.
5) Verify that the charger you are using is for the L12 SEEKER (many chargers look alike). Never
use a charger other than a Tektite approved charger for this battery.
6) Plug the charger into the wall outlet then connect the battery to the charger.
ALWAYS charge the battery OUTSIDE the canister.
7) Charger light will illuminate during charging.
8) Battery will be fully charged in 18 to 24 hours. The trickle charger light will remain on as long as
the battery is connected.
You should charge the battery once a month when the battery is not being used.
9) Use caution to prevent shorting terminals or wiring.
10) Use caution when handling the battery; avoid dropping or denting the battery pack, as this could
cause a short.
11) Keep battery charged to ensure a long and dependable battery life.
12) Improper use could result in a potential fire or explosion.
13) Store the battery outside the canister.
INSTALLING THE BATTERY (When you are ready to use your light)
1) ALWAYS check the lid O-rings for nicks and dirt. Use a clean, lint free cloth to wipe the O-rings.
Check the O-rings to insure they are properly positioned. A light coating of silicone O-ring grease
is all that is required (a starter tube is included).
Remember, O-rings are what make the light waterproof; excess grease just picks up
dirt and doesn't add additional sealing.
2) Disconnect your battery from the charger and slide it into the canister being careful not to catch or
pinch the wires.
3) Connect the battery plugs.
4) Place the lid onto the canister, carefully screw closed the lid, being careful not to catch or pinch
the wires.
5) Attach battery canister to belt or equipment harness.
HINT: Position the battery canister so that the switch is within easy reach.
6) Verify operation.
Tektite LED lights can be operated out of water.
OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1) Position the battery canister so that the switch is within easy reach.
2) Turn the switch on by squeezing the switch lever together towards the cord connector, with thumb
and forefinger.
With a few practice tries, you'll be able to
3) When you are finished diving, rinse the entire system with fresh water, dry it off, open the canister
and disconnect the battery before storage.
