1 Function
1.1 The key fob is intended for wireless
transmitting of alarm notifications and identifiable reports for arming / disarming, etc. to the control panel of the Astra-Zitadel system.
1.2 Power is supplied to the key fob from a
CR2430 type battery, voltage 3,0 V (included in delivery package).
1.3 When pressing the service button «*» on the
key fob (which is registered in the system and has user rights for arming / disarming), light and
sound alerter Astra-2345 switches ON to indicate status of partitions, which it is assigned to, by light alerting.
1.4 When simultaneous pressing for 1 s on «*» button and any
other the detector starts searching new channel of radio network, and switches to it if number of channel was changed.

2
6.2 According to Astra-Zitadel System Control Panel`s
Operating Manual * perform the following procedure:
1) Install Software ** (MSS Astra-Z, Pconf-Z or MSS Astra
Pro) intended for configuring Control Panel;
2) Create wireless network.
6.3 Registering the Key Fob in the Wireless Network
Key fob registration procedure is required for identification in the wireless network in which it is supposed to operate.
Step-1
Place the key fob on the working place and disassemble:
- Remove the screw;
- Insert a screwdriver into the groove on the key fob housing and separate the base from the cover.
- Remove the base.
Step-2
Insert the battery; the LED lights up for 1 to 20 seconds.
After the LED turns OFF, the key fob switches to registration mode for 60
seconds.
Step-3
During the delay time (60 seconds), initiate Wireless device registration mode on the control panel by the
method described in the appropriate Astra-Zitadel System Control Panel`s Operation manual*. Press any two buttons at the same time (except for «Service» button) on the key fob. The key fob switches to wireless network search mode for no more than 60 seconds, the LED blinks at a frequency of 5 Hz.
WARNING! Avoid to initiate registration procedure on several detectors simultaneously
Step-4
Verify registration by the control panel indication:
Once registration procedure completed successfully, the abbreviated name of detector «KF» appears on the screen or «KFxxx registered» notification appears on the control panel`s screen.
Assemble the detector:
- Replace the base.
- Tighten the screw.
In case registration procedure failed, repeat the
registration procedure, i.e. perform steps 2 – 4, previously reinsert the battery
Step-5
If necessary, assign to the key fob user rights for arming / disarming by the method described in the appropriate Astra-Zitadel System Control Panel`s Operating Manual*.
Step-6
After successful registration of the key fob, for long term storage before its installation, it is allowed to switch the key fob OFF by removing the battery. When power is supplied, there is no need to re-register the key fob in the same wireless network if it was not intentionally removed from the network through Astra-Z-812 control panel.
7 Labeling
The following information is marked on the label attached to the key fob housing:
- abbreviated key fob designation;
- firmware version;
- month and year of manufacture;
- conformity mark (if certificate is available);
- bar-code that duplicates textual information.
