The Refrigerant
R32
The refrigerant used in this appliance is the mildly flammable HFC R32 (difluoromethane).
a
procedures
Compared to other commonly used refrigerants, R32 has a lower global warming potential and a zero ozone depleting potential. R32 has good thermodynamic features which lead to a really high energy efficiency. The units therefore require less refrigerant than previously used with other r efrigerants.
If the refrigerant c ircuit should become damaged and a leak is observed, avoid open
of ignition.
Disconnect the power to the appliance from the mains power. As this appliance uses a plug to supply power do not switch off from the appliance controls or the power point.
Thoroughly ventilate the room in which the appliance is situated for several minutes before using other appliances or sources of ignition.

The customer/contractor is solely responsible for ensuring that the equipment installed complies with any relevant code or standard.
IMPORTANT NOTICE
CAUTION
Due to various wall and window types and construcƟons, Teco Australia Pty Ltd recommends the window/wall type room air condiƟoner must be installed with compliance to the Building Code of Australia, Local Government or body corporate requirements. Please consult your local builder or air condiƟoning contractor. All hardware required to install the air condiƟoner is Įeld supplied.
Drainage
To get the maximu m cooling eĸci ency, the air condiƟoner is designed to splash the condensaƟon water on the condenser coil. The cooling & heaƟng model has a thermostaƟcally controlled drain mechanicism. The drain will open <14

The cooling only models, If the splashing sound annoys you, you can provide an outsid e drain by using the following procedure, which may however cause a small loss of performance. If a drain is required, please follow the steps below.
1.
Slide out the chassis from the cabinet.
2.
Remove the rubber plug from the body base plate.
3.
Install the drain pan to the corner of the cabinet with 2 screws.

The amount of hea ng provided in HEAT mode will vary depending on environmental condi

Performance is dependent on the amount of heat available in the outside air and the output heat capacity of the machine compared to the size of the space being heated.
Heat absorbed by the outside heat exchanger (coil) will be reduced by frost buildup dependent on the amount of m oisture in the outside air entering the machine.
From

General OperaƟon
Do not set the cooling temperature too low. It could damage your health and waste electricity.
Keep blinds and curtains closed. Do no t let sunshine directly in the room while the aircondiƟoner isoperaƟng.
To keep the room temperature uniform, adjust the verƟcal and horizontal airŇow direcƟon to ensure uniform temperature in the room.
Make sure that the doors and windows are ƟŐhtly closed. Avoid o pening doors an d windows as much as possible to keep the condiƟoned air in the room.
Clean the air Įůter regularly. Blockages in the air Įlter reduce dehumidifying eīects. Clean the air Įůter at least once every two weeks.
VenƟůate the room occasionally. Since windows and doors are kept closed, it is a good idea to open them and venƟůate the room every few hours.
