The smallest of the MP Series of loudspeakers, the Vernal
15 is the perfect loudspeaker for any application where
ultra-compact size and powerful full-spectrum sound are
required. No other ultra-compact loudspeaker can rival
the sensitivity and power-handling of the Vernal 15.

The Vernal 15 features a true horn-loaded high frequency
driver, resulting in much better throw and vocal intelligi­bility in high ambient noise environments than any
dome-tweeter loaded loudspeaker. Only the highest­quality metalized polypropylene capacitors and heavy
gauge inductors are used in Technomad networks, mini­mizing insertion loss and producing smooth response
throughout the operating bandwidth.

The Vernal 15 was designed for maximum flexibility and
ease of use. Developed with the needs of contractors in
mind, the Vernal 15 incorporates a wide range of mount­ing options. Threaded 1/4-20 inserts on each side allow
easy suspension. The Vernal 15 has two 1/4-20 inserts on
the back of the cabinet which are compatible with a wide
range of wall-mounting brackets including models from
Omnimount™, APC™, and Quik-Lok™. The Vernal is

also compatible with Bose™ mounting hardware.

The Vernal 15 is extremely weather resistant. Both the
rubber-surround polypropylene mid/bass driver and the
high-frequency ceramic driver offer excellent performance
in even the most severe weather conditions. The three
layer WeatherTech™ grill system sheds water off of the
loudspeaker before it can penetrate to the components and
all internal assemblies are treated to prevent damage by
any moisture which gets past the grill. Rust is never a
problem as all external hardware, including the grill, is
black stainless steel. Technomad cabinets are cast from
Mil-Spec polyethylene, carry a 10-year warranty and are
self-draining. From the inside out, every part of every
Technomad loudspeaker is designed to provide optimum
performance in even the worst conditions.

Combining excellent sound reproduction with high
power-handling in an architecturally neutral cabinet, the
Vernal 15 is used worldwide in applications such as
resorts, theme parks, restaurants, residences, and cruise
ships.

Signal Chain

The loudspeaker system shall be of two-way type consisting of a
5” low frequency cone type transducer in a ported direct ­radiating enclosure and a horn-mounted 1” ceramic driver.

The system shall meet the following performance criteria:
Frequency Response: 70Hz - 20 kHz. Power Handling: 60W.
Rated Impedance shall be 8 ohms. High frequency dispersion
shall be 120° H x 120° V. The loudspeaker shall have an
optional 70-volt transformer, with power taps selected by a rotary
switch. The system shall include an internal passive crossover
network, providing full-range operation via a screw-terminal block.

The cabinet shall be molded from mid-density polyethylene. All

cabinet dyes shall be non-heavy metal based. The cabinet shall
have a 10 year warranty.

The system shall have two 1/4-20 flypoint inserts per side, and
one additional 1/4-20 insert on each end for yoke mounting. The
system shall also have two 1/4-20 flypoint inserts on the back of
the cabinet to allow attachment of an OmniMount™ 25 or Allen
Products MM-010 bracket.

All drivers shall be protected by a three-layer chemically treated
grill system. Cabinet drainage shall be provided by bleed holes.
