Read these instructions. Keep these instructions. Heed all warnings. Follow all instructions. Do not use this apparatus near water. Clean only with a dry cloth. Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer’s
instructions. Do not install or operate near any heat sources such
as radiators, stoves, or other apparatus that produce heat.
Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
IMPORTANT
This equipment generates, uses and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communication. ELECTRICAL INFORMATION
Mains Supply: The mains operating voltage of this unit is marked on a rating plate on the AC adapter.
The means of disconnecting this appliance from the mains supply is the mains plug. This should be unobstructed and readily operable at all times.
Refer all servicing to qualied ser vice personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged in any way, such as the power-supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or has been dropped.
Batteries (a battery pack or installed batteries) shall not be subject to excessive heat such as sunshine, re or the like.
Warning: To reduce the risk of re or electrical shock, do not expose this product to rain or moisture. The product must not be exposed to dripping and splashing and no object lled with liquids such as a vase of owers should be placed on the product.
No naked ame sources such as candles should be placed on the product.

PRELIMINARIES INTRODUCTION
UNPACKING
Carefully unpack the unit. If it is damaged, please return it to your nearest Tesco store for replacement. Remember to take your purchase receipt with you.
Retain the User Handbook. If you pass the unit on to a third party make sure you pass on the handbook.
We suggest you retain the packaging. If you dispose of it, do so having regard to any recycling regulations in your area.

Operating Manual• If any items are missing or damaged, contact your nearest TESCO store for a replacement. Have your receipt ready when you call. Retain the packaging. If you dispose of it, do so having regard to any recycling regulations in your area.
The TKSB215 Soundbar is a versatile speaker unit with Bluetooth connectivity and two analogue audio inputs for audio-visual sources.
Recommended sound sources include -
Play music from your mobile phone or notebook • computer via Bluetooth.
Connect a TV, DVD player or satellite receiver to the • LINE IN input.
Connect a computer or personal audio player to the • AUX IN Input.
LOCATION
LOCATION
Place the unit on dry stable surface away from heat and damp and where it is unlikely to fall or be knocked over. Check that connecting cables are tucked away and will not cause a risk of tripping etc.
If you are using your Soundbar for TV sound, place it centrally under, or above the TV screen.
CAUTION: This Soundbar is not intended to be a TV stand. Do Not stand a TV on it.

Optional wall-mounting:
The Soundbar has back panel keyhole slots for optional wall-mounting.
If you plan to wall-mount the Soundbar:
Plan the location carefully, ensuring that mains • power is accessible, that connecting cables will reach the unit.
Once you have planned the location, Check that the • screws you are using will t into the keyhole slots and that the heads will not pull out of the slots.
Fix two screws into the wall to support the unit, • spaced by 400mm. Check that the screws are level and that the unit will be xed at the height you require.
NOTE:- Most walls will require the use of wall-plugs when mounting the xing screws. If you are in any doubt concerning the type of xing required or the security of wall-mountings, consult a building professional.
Important notes for wall-mounting:
Tesco accepts no liability for damages caused by • incorrect assembly, installation or improper use.
Ensure that the wall is sucient strength to hold • the weight of the system.
If there is any doubt regarding the condition or the • load bearing of the wall, please consult a specialist from the building trade.
The wall xings used must be suitable for the type • of wall (materials, thickness, condition), so that the maximum load bearing of the wall can be guaranteed.
Ensure that no electrical cables, water pipes or gas • pipes are located within the wall.
Before mounting, check the location of the nearest • mains socket. Use a spirit level when attaching the wall bracket.
Wear safety goggles when drilling.• Keep small parts out of reach from children.•

WALL MOUNTING
Supplied wall-xing kit:
A wall-xing kit is supplied and includes screws and wall-plugs. These xings are suitable for solid walls, not for partition walls.
You must ensure that these xings are suitable for the wall you are xing to. If not, use alternative xings that are correct for the wall type.
If you are in any doubt about the suitability of the supplied xings, consult a building professional.

CONNECTING AN AUDIO SOURCE
The LINE IN and AUX IN analogue inputs are for stereo analogue sources only.
The LINE IN input has phono socket connection so is suitable for the sound output from a TV, DVD player, satellite receiver etc.
The AUX IN input has a 3.5mm jack connector so is suitable for connection to the line or headphone outputs of a computer or personal stereo player.
The input jacks are located on the terminal panels of the Soundbar and are marked LINE IN and AUX IN.
To connect a TV etc to the LINE IN input:
Connect the red and white plugs of a stereo phono • cable of sucient length (not supplied) to the ‘L’ jack (white plug) and ‘R’ jack (red plug) of the LINE IN input.
Connect the other end of the cable to the output • jacks of your source. The white plug connects to the left channel, the red plug connects to the right channel.

CONNECTING AN AUDIO SOURCE
Connecting to a SCART connector on your TV:
If your TV only has SCART connections, you will need a SCART adaptor (not supplied).
Connect the red and white plugs of a stereo phono • cable of sucient length (not supplied) to the ‘L’ jack (white plug) and ‘R’ jack (red plug) of the LINE IN input.
Connect the other end of the audio cable to the • jacks on the SCART adaptor.
Connect the SCART adaptor to a free SCART • connector on the TV.
NOTE:- Some SCART connectors on your TV may not include audio outputs. Where possible, choose a SCART input that is intended for use with a video recorder as this should have an audio output.

To connect a computer or portable audio player:
You will need a jack to jack connecting cable (not supplied) terminated with a 3.5mm plug at each end.
Connect the cable to the AUX IN input jack on the • terminal panel of the Soundbar.
Connect the jack plug at the other end of the cable • to the headphone jack of your portable audio player.
Set the player to play and turn up the player • volume.

BATTERY DISPOSAL
Dispose of used batteries with regard to the recycling regulations in your area. Do NOT short circuit batteries or throw them into water, the general rubbish or in a re.
Weak batteries can leak and damage the remote control. Replace them in good time!

OPERATION
POWER CONTROL
To switch the unit on:
Press the • ON/OFF button.
The last used input will be selected.
To switch the unit o:
Press the • ON/OFF button.
The unit will switch o. The Standby indicator will change to red.
If you plan to leave the Soundbar unattended for long periods (for example, holidays), switch o the mains power by disconnecting the AC adapter from the mains.
Auto Standby:
Auto Standby is a power-saving feature that sets the Soundbar to Standby automatically if sound hasn’t played for a period of 5 hours.
To re-start the unit from Auto-standby, press the ON/•
OFF button.
SELECTING A SOURCE
Selecting a source from the control panel:
Press the • SOURCE button repeatedly to switch between sources.
The Power/Source indicator will change colour to indicate the selected source.
Blue indicates that the Bluetooth source is selected.• Green indicates that the AUX IN source is selected.• Purple indicates that the LINE IN source is selected.•
Selecting a source from the remote control:
From the remote control, press one of the direct • access function buttons -
Press the • LINE button to select the LINE IN source.
Press the • AUX IN button to select the AUX IN source.
Press the •
button to select a Bluetooth
source.
Set the source to play. If the source has a volume • control (for example, a personal audio player), this may need to be turned up.
CONNECTING POWER
Before connecting the Soundbar to mains power, check that the mains supply voltage in your area is within the range specied on the rating label on the AC adapter.
Plug the DC cable from the AC adapter into the DC • IN jack on the back panel.
Plug the AC adapter into the wall socket and switch • the mains power on.
The Power/Source indicator will light red.

OPERATION
VOLUME CONTROL
Press the • VOL+ or VOL- buttons to increase or
reduce the volume level from the Soundbar.
The Power/Source indicator will ash quickly as you adjust the volume. When you reach minimum or maximum volume the indicator will stop ashing.
To mute the volume:
Press the • MUTE button on the remote control to
mute the sound.
The sound will mute and the Power/Source indicator will ash slowly.
PLAYING A BLUETOOTH SOURCE
Before playing from a Bluetooth source, it will be necessary to connect the source to the Soundbar.
Pairing with a Bluetooth device:
Switch on the Soundbar.• Select the Bluetooth source.• Activate Bluetooth on the source.•
If the source is a phone, Bluetooth will normally be activated in the connectivity section of the settings menu.
If the source is a computer, Bluetooth settings should be found in the Control Panel.
In the Bluetooth menu of the source, there should • be an option to search for Bluetooth devices. Select this option.
The source will now scan for other Bluetooth devices and should nd the unit, identied as ‘TKSB215’.
Choose to pair with this.•
If the device features Bluetooth technology earlier than V2.1, you will be asked for a password.
If so, enter 0000.•
Your Bluetooth source will now be connected to the Soundbar.
After pairing for the rst time, the Soundbar will appear in the connection menu of your Bluetooth device.
Re-connecting:
Your device and the Soundbar should re-connect when next used if no other device is connected.
TONE CONTROL
You can change Bass and Treble settings to set up the sound to your liking.
Press the • BASS+ or BASS- buttons to increase or reduce the bass level from the Soundbar.
Press the • TREBLE+ or TREBLE- buttons to increase or reduce the treble level from the Soundbar.
The Power/Source indicator will ash quickly as you adjust the tone controls. When you reach minimum or maximum volume the indicator will stop ashing.
RETURNING TO FACTORY SETTINGS
You can cancel any adjustments you have made and return all settings to factory original setting.
Press and hold the • MUTE button on the remote control.
After two seconds the settings will be returned to the factory setting.

All care and cleaning operations should be carried out with the unit unplugged from the mains power.
The surface of the unit can be cleaned with a dry cloth. Never use abrasives, abrasive cloths or chemical solvents .
Loudspeaker grilles can be cleaned carefully with a soft brush.

TROUBLESHOOTING
No sound
Check that the Soundbar is not set to Standby.• Check that the correct input is selected.•
No sound (TV source)
Check that the AUX IN input is correctly connected • to an audio OUTPUT (not an input) of the TV.
No sound (TV source using SCART adaptor)
Check that the SCART adaptor is set for audio • output from the TV.
Check that the SCART socket on the TV has audio • out available (some SCART sockets are only inputs). A SCART connector labelled for VCR connection will usually include audio out connection.
No sound/low volume (computer or personal audio player connected to the PC input)
If the source has a volume control, check that this • is turned up.
No remote control operation
The batteries may be at. Try replacing the • batteries.
