Carefully unpack the unit. If it is damaged, please return it to your nearest Tesco store for replacement. Remember to take your purchase receipt with you. Retain the User Handbook. If you pass the unit on to a third party make sure you pass on the handbook. We suggest you retain the packaging. If you dispose of it, do so having regard to any recycling regulations in your area.

BATTERY AND CHARGING
POWER SUPPLY
The player is powered by an internal rechargeable battery.
Battery cautions
The battery is not replaceable. Do not attempt to open the player to replace the battery. As the unit contains a battery, do not throw it into water, the general rubbish or in a re.
RECHARGING THE BATTERY
The battery is automatically recharged when the player is connected to the USB port of a computer. To charge the batter y to 80% capacity from at will take approximately three hours, a full charge will take approximately ve hours. Once plugged into the computer for charging the player should be left charging for the recommended time period. A battery level indicator is provided to monitor the charge condition of the battery.
BATTERY CARE
To preserve the life of the battery, the following recommendations are made -
Fully charge the battery before rst use.• Charge the battery immediately when it is exhausted (when the • ‘low battery’ message is displayed. Do not overcharge the battery. Unplug the player from the • computer when the battery level indication reads fully charged. Do not allow the battery to over-discharge. To avoid over-• discharge, fully charge the player every 3 months.

GETTING STARTED
How does the player work?
A library of music, movie and photo (media) les is created on a personal computer. You can then selec t media within the library that you want to listen to/view on your player. Each time your player is connected, the player will check the computer librar y and add new media that you have marked to synchronise with the player. The player has a built-in camera. You can use the camera to take photos or lm videos which can be viewed on your player. The player also has a slot for a Micro-SD memory card. You can save photos, videos and recordings directly to the card, or copy les to the card from the internal memor y of the player using the built-in le manager.
Does the computer need to be a particular specication?
Your computer should meet a minimum specication of -
Processor minimum of Pentium 200MHz.• Operating system Microsoft Windows XP, Vista or later.• A free USB port.•
What software will be required on my computer?
For easy communication with your player, Windows Media Player, version 11 (WMP11) or later is recommended to manage your media les. Windows Media Player software is supplied free of charge with Microsoft Windows, but depending on the age of your computer, the version installed may not be version 11. To check the version of Windows Media Player:
Open Windows Media Player (click • Start>All programs>Windows Media Player) Once Windows Media Player is open, click • Help>About Windows
Media Player. The version is shown on this screen. Version 11 or later is recommended, although earlier versions will function.
If you need to upgrade to a newer version of Windows Media Player, visit www.microsoft.com and download the latest version.
iTunes:
The iTunes Media Player is not recommended for managing the music les on your player.

BUILDING A MUSIC LIBRARY ON YOUR COMPUTER
Collect together the CDs that you want to include in your library and rip (copy) them into the Windows Media Player (WMP) library.
Open Windows Media Player 11.• Click on the ‘Rip’ tab at the top of • the screen.

Load the CD you want to rip into • the computer drive.
The CD will play and the ripping process will begin. Ripping progress is indicated as shown.
Once the ripping process is • complete, you can remove the disc and rip another if required.

Switch on your computer.• Open Windows Media Player 11.• Open the SD card cover.• Connect the USB cable (supplied).• Connect the other end of the • cable to a convenient USB port on your computer.
The display on the player will light and show the USB symbol.
Select the Data Transfer option.•
After a short delay, a window will open on the right of the Windows Media Player display titled ‘Sync List’.
In the main library, click on the • albums or tracks that you want to transfer and drag them across to
the sync list. NOTE: You can drag individual tracks from the track list or click on the album symbol to select an entire album.

Synchronisation will start as Windows Media Player copies the les to your player. Progress bars display synchronisation progress. Leave the player docked to the computer until synchronisation is nished.
NOTE: Synchronisation may take some time if you are copying a large number of les to the player.
When synchronisation is complete, a message will be displayed - ‘You can now disconnect ‘MPVC2’.
Unplug the player.•

PICTURE AND VIDEO LIBRARIES
You can also switch the Windows Media Player 11 screen to display a library of the Pictures or Videos stored on your computer.
To change between libraries, •
click on the Media Select icon
at the top left of the screen to
drop down a selec tion menu for
dierent media types.
You can then choose to display pictures or videos.
Windows Media Player will be factory set to display pictures stored in the ‘My Pictures’ folder on your computer and videos stored in the ‘My Videos’ folder. You can add other folders by clicking the Library tab and selecting ‘Add to Library’.

Picture and video les are transferred to your player in the same way as music les. With the library set to the correct mode, you begin by dragging the les you want to transfer to the sync list. When you have added all the les you want to transfer, press the ‘Start Sync’ button at the bottom of the sync list.

USING WINDOWS EXPLORER TO TRANSFER MUSIC FILES
Copying music to your player using Windows Explorer
For users familiar with computer le transfer, Windows Explorer can be used as an alternative to Windows Media Player 11 to transfer music les to your player.
Switch on the computer.•
Navigate to ‘My Computer’ (• Click Start>My Computer).
Connect the USB cable (supplied) to the USB jack.•
Connect the other end of the cable to a convenient USB port on •
your computer.
Browse to the list of drives on your computer.•
After a short delay, the player will appear as a ‘Removable Disk’.• NOTE: If you have installed a Micro-SD memory card in your player, this will appear as an additional drive.
To make it easier to identify the player you may want to rename the drive(s) for easy recognition. The computer will recognise the player by its new name whenever you connect it.
Double click to open this drive and you will see folders for music, • video and pictures. Open a second window of ‘My Computer’.• Browse to your music les and drag the album folders or music • les onto the MUSIC folder to upload them.
NOTE: If your les are stored in folders you can copy the complete folder into the MUSIC folder. Ensure that only compatible music les are in the folders before transferring them.

Disconnecting the player
Locate the ‘Safely Remove Hardware’ icon on the taskbar at the •
bottom right of the screen.
Double click the icon.•
In the box that opens, click Stop.•
Another screen opens. Click OK.•
When you see the ‘Safe To Remove Hardware’ notice, you can • remove the player.

Windows Explorer may also be used to transfer photo, videos and EBooks to your player. The transfer process for these les is the same as that described in the previous sec tion for transferring music les with the following exceptions -
Picture les must be copied to the ‘PICTURES’ folder that will be •
found on the player.
Video les must be copied to the VIDEOS folder on the player.•
EBooks must be copied to the TXT folder on the player.• NOTE: Ensure that only compatible les are transferred.

When the player is connected to a computer the USB option menu will display 3 options.
Choose ‘Data transfer’ when copying les to the player.•
Choose ‘Charge & Play’ to use your player from USB power when •
the battery is at.
Choose ‘Charge’ to charge the battery without transferring data •
or using the player. If you don’t choose an option, the player will automatically connect for data transfer.

SWITCHING THE PLAYER ON AND OFF
Switching the player on
Press and • hold the button.
The display lights. After a shor t delay a welcome message ‘Technika’ is shown on the display, then the main menu.

Press and • hold the button for 3 seconds.
A farewell message ‘Technika’ is shown on the display. After a short delay the display will switch o.
The Main Menu
When the player is switched on the Main Menu will be automatically displayed (see the next page for the Main Menu options).
From the Main Menu press the •  button to scroll through the available modes of Music, Photos, Videos, Radio, Record, Explorer, Settings.
Press the • /, button to select a menu option. NOTE: You can return to the Main Menu at any time by pressing and holding the button.

NAVIGATING MENUS VOLUME CONTROL
In addition to the Main Menu, your player uses a system of menus to browse for music, photos and videos etc.
Menu navigation buttons:
When a menu is displayed, press the •  button to move up or down the menu. Press the • /, button to select an option from a menu. Press the • button to move back to the previous menu screen.
Menus of additional features:
Once playing music or a video etc, there are also additional menus to select features relating to the current function you have selected. For example, selecting repeat modes for music, rotating photos etc.
Press the • FUNC button to open a feature menu.
The feature menu can be navigated in the same way as the selection menus.
Adjusting the volume level:
When playing music, videos, radio etc, press the button to increase the volume level or the button to reduce the volume level.
SPEAKER/HEADPHONE
Your player is equipped with an internal speaker and also a headphone jack for connection of headphones. If the headphones are connected to the player, the sound will play through the headphones and the internal speaker will be silent. If the headphones are disconnected, the internal speaker will switch on. NOTE: The headphones must be connected when listening to FM radio as the headphone wire functions as the FM aerial.

Browse for the music you want to play by selecting an option from this menu.
Press the •  or  button to move up or down the list options and
the /, button to select an option. These are the options available -
Choose ‘Now Playing’ to continue playing from the track you • last played. Choose ‘All Music’ to play all of the music stored on your • player. Choose ‘Artist’, ‘Album’ or ‘Genre’ to search your stored music • indexed by artist, album or genre (music type). Choose ‘My Playlist’ to select from a list of playlists that you • have stored. Choose ‘Dir List’ to browse the music directory on your player.• Choose ‘Record List’ to play Voice or FM recordings you have • made. Choose ‘My Rating’ to browse tracks organised by the rating • you have given them (1 to 5 stars). Note: You will only see tracks with ratings.
Choose ‘Tag List’ to play tracks that you have tagged.• Once you have found the track you want to play, press the /, button to select your choice and play will begin.

When playing music, more playback features are available if you select the Music Advanced Features menu.
While listening to music, press the • FUNC button to open the Music Advanced Features menu.
These are the options available -
AB Repeat
Choose ‘AB repeat’ to continually repeat a segment of music bet ween two points you select.
When you select AB Repeat from the menu, the star t of the • segment is marked.
‘A-’ is displayed.
When you reach the end of the segment, press the • /, button.
‘A-B is displayed.
The player will now continually repeat the segment you selected. •
Play mode:
Choose Play Mode to select one of the play mode options - Normal (repeat o), Repeat One (repeat the current track), Repeat All (repeat all tracks), Shue (play all tracks in the current selection in a random order) and Intro (plays the rst 10 seconds of each track). NOTE: To cancel the ‘Intro’ setting, return to the Play Mode menu and select another play mode.

Select EQ:
There are 11 equaliser mode options that will change the sound response of your player.
Normal (No equalisation)• Rock• Pop• Classic• Soft• Jazz• DBB (Bass boost)• User EQ (Personalised EQ response)• SRS WOW (Simulated 3D sound eect)• SRS WOWHD (Simulated 3D sound eect)• SRS User mode (Simulated 3D sound eect)•
As you change the setting you will hear the sound change.
Play Speed:
With this option you can change the ‘speed’ of the music. By setting a higher speed, the music will play faster. A lower speed will slow down the music.
Display Mode:
Select this option to choose from 3 display modes - Album (the display shows details of the track currently playing, Lyric (the display shows the lyrics of the song that is playing, when available) or Spectrum (a spectrum analyser display is added).
Set Rating:
Select this option to set a rating for the track that is playing. R atings range from 5 star for the highest rating down to 1 star for your least favourite tracks. If you have rated tracks with the rating system, you can then select tracks according to their rating.
Add Tag:
Select this option to tag the song that is playing. If you tag a selection of tracks, you can then choose to play all the tagged tracks.
Add to My Playlist:
Select this option to add the track that is playing to one of the ve playlists. Once you have completed the playlists with a selection of tracks you can then choose to play music by playlist.
Delete:
Select this option to delete the song currently playing from the player memory.

Setup Music:
Select this option to set Replay Times, Replay Interval, the Scan Speed and Fade In/Out (to enable fading when tracks stop and start).
Setup EQ:
Select this option to customise the User EQ setting or to make changes to SRS user mode settings.

Select this option to display information about the music le currently playing.

to display it. NOTE: Photos taken with the built-in camera on the player are automatically stored in the CAMERA folder
Changing the photo
Press the •  or  button to display the next or previous photo.
Starting a slideshow
When a photo is displayed, press the • /, button to start a slideshow of all photos in the current folder. To pause the slideshow, press the • /, button again.
Photos menu options
These are the options available -
Choose ‘Now Playing’ to continue viewing from the last photo • you viewed. Choose ‘Dir List’ to browse for photos or folders containing • photos. Choose ‘Play Mode’ to switch the ‘Dir List’ selection display • between a list of le names and a thumbnail view of the photos on your player. Choose the ‘Slide Interval’ option to set the time that each • photo will display in a slideshow. Choose the Slide Eect option to select a dierent transition • eect between slides in a slideshow. The ‘Random’ setting changes the transition eect for each slide transition.

When viewing photos, more features are available if you select the Photos Advanced Features menu.
While viewing photos, press the • FUNC button to open the Photos
Advanced Features menu.
These are the options available -
Rotate
Choose this option to rotate the photo currently displayed by options of 90°, 180° or 270°. The photo will return to its original orientation after viewing.
Zoom
Choose this option to zoom into or out from an area on the pic ture displayed.
Display Mode
Choose this option to change the scale of the picture. The options are Full Screen, Original Size or Scale.
Slide Interval
Choose the ‘Slide Interval’ option to set the time that each photo will display in a slideshow.
Slide Eect
Choose the Slide Eect option to select a dierent transition eect between slides in a slideshow. The ‘R andom’ setting changes the transition eect for each slide transition.

Choose the Set Background option to use the currently displayed photo as the background picture behind one or more of the menu screens.

Choose the Default Background option to restore the factory set background behind one or more of the menu screens.

Choose the Set as Startup option to use the currently displayed photo as the background picture for the startup screen.
Set as Shutdown
Choose the Set as Shutdown option to use the currently displayed photo as the background picture for the shutdown screen.
Delete:
Select this option to delete the photo currently displayed from the player memory.
Information:
Select this option to display information about the photo currently displayed.

Delete:
Select this option to delete the video currently playing from the player memory.
Information:
Select this option to display information about the video le currently playing.

Using the camera:
Select the ‘Camera’ mode from the Main menu.•
The display will show the Camera menu.
Taking a still photo
Select the ‘Capture’ option from the Camera menu.•
After a short delay, the display will show a view from the camera lens. The display will also show the resolution (quality) setting, the number of photos that may be taken at the current resolution setting and the zoom setting.
To zoom into or out from the photo subject, press the •  or  button. To take the photo, press the shutter button on top of the player. • The photo will be taken as you release your nger from the shutte button.
The photo will be stored in memory and the camera is ready to take another photo.

TAKING PICTURES OR FILMING VIDEO WITH THE CAMERA
Filming a video
Select the ‘Video Recorder’ option from the Camera menu.•
After a short delay, the display will show a view from the camera lens. The display will also show the elapsed and maximum lming time possible at the current resolution setting.
To start lming the video, press the shutter button on top of the •
player.
The player will begin lming as you release the shutter button and the elapsed time of the video will be shown.
Whilst lming a video, press the shutter button to pause or re-•
start the video.
When you have nished lming, press the • button to save the
video le.
Using the player as a PC camera
Connect a USB cable to your player from the computer.•
The USB menu will be displayed.
Select the ‘Charge & Play’ option from the USB menu.• Wait for the Main menu to appear.• Select the ‘Camera’ option.• Select the ‘PC Camera’ option from the Camera menu.•
The display will show a PC camera. After a short delay, the camera will initialise and will become available to your PC for software that requires a camera.
When you have nished using your player as a PC camera, unplug • the USB cable.
The Main menu will be displayed.

Preview:
The Preview feature enables you to switch the display to preview photos you have just taken. When you exit Preview mode the camera will be ready to take another photo.
White Balance:
This feature enables you to set the white balance of your camera for indoor or outdoor use, or to set auto mode. The Auto setting is recommended for everday use.
Brightness:
The brightness feature enables you to manually adjust the exposure setting between -3 (dark setting for bright scenes) and +3 (bright setting for dark scenes). NOTE: Separate brightness settings are stored for the still and video cameras. The brightness settings are memorised for future use until you change them again.

CAMERA ADVANCED FEATURES MENU - STILL PHOTOS
Exposure mode:
This feature enables you to set the exposure of your camera to preset settings for indoor or outdoor use, or to set auto mode. The Auto setting is recommended for everday use.
Special Eect:
This feature enables you to choose from Negative, Sepia or Black & White special eects for your photos.
Save Path:
Choose this option to change the location where your photos are saved. You can choose to save photos to the internal memory or to a memory card (when installed).
Resolution:
Choose this option to change the quality setting for photos taken with the camera.
Self Timer:
Select the Self Timer feature to set your camera to take photos automatically, after a shor t delay. Once you have selected your preferred delay time, press the shutter button and move into the picture before the self-timer delay expires and the photo is taken.
Shutter Sound:
This feature enables you to change the sound your camera makes when taking a picture, or to turn the sound o completely.
Date Stamp:
The date stamp feature enables you to add a date or date and time stamp in the bottom right corner of photos that you take.
Display Mode:
The display mode feature enables you to change the display mode for your player.
Face Detection:
Set the Face Detection mode on to optimise potrait photos or photos of people.
View Parameter:
Selecting this feature enables you to check many of the settings in the advanced features menu.

CAMERA ADVANCED FEATURES MENU - VIDEOS
When using the camera to lm a video, most of the advanced feature menu options are the same as still photography. You can refer to the previous section for an explanation of these menu options. The two additional menu options that appear in the camera menu when lming a video are highlighted in the menu diagram below.

Record quality:
This feature enables you to set the sound quality of your recordings. A lower quality setting will also reduce the size of the video le.
Record Gain:
A setting of 3 or 4 is recommended for record gain. If the recording sound is too quiet, increase the gain. If the recording crackles or distorts, reduce the gain setting.
VOICE RECORDINGS
Recording and playing voices:
Your player includes a microphone and recording capability. You can use the recording function to make a recording, then play it back.
To record voices:
Select the ‘Recorder’ mode from the Main menu.•
The Voice Recorder screen will be displayed. The recorder will be set to pause.
Press the • /, button to start the recording.
The microphone is located close to the camera lens at the back of •
the unit. Speak clearly, close to the microphone.
Press the • /, button to pause or re-start the recording.
When you have nished recording, press the • button.
The recording will be saved and the player will return to the Voice Recorder screen in stop mode.
Playing a voice recording:
Voice recordings are played in the same way as Music, but selecting les from the Record List:
Select the ‘Music’ option from the Main menu.• Select ‘Record List’ from the Music menu.• Select ‘VOICE’ from the Record List menu.• Browse the le list to nd the voice recording that you want to • play.

Playing FM radio:
Your player includes an FM radio receiver.
To play the FM radio:
Select the ‘FM Radio’ mode from the Main menu.•
After a short delay, the display will show the FM radio status screen.

Tuning modes:
There are t wo tuning modes available - Frequency tuning (search or manual) where the player may be tuned across the band to search for stations and Preset tuning where you can select stations from presets you have previously stored.
To switch between Frequency tuning and Preset tuning:
Press the • /, button while playing radio.
‘Preset’ will be displayed when switched to preset tuning mode.
Frequency tuning (search):
To search the band for stations-
Press and • hold the or button to scan up or down the band.
Scanning will stop automatically when the next station is found.
Frequency tuning (manual):
Press the •  or  button briey to step up or down the band in 0.1Mhz steps.
Preset tuning:
To step through the presets (when saved) -
If necessary, press the • /, button to switch to Preset Tuning mode. Press the •  or  button briey to step through stored presets.

When listening to the radio, more features are available if you select the FM Radio Advanced Features menu.
While listening to the radio, press the • FUNC button to open the
FM Radio Advanced Features menu.
These are the options available -
FM Record:
Select this option to record from an FM station. To make a recording, tune to the station you want to record from. Select the FM Record option and the recording will start immediately. When you have nished recording, press the button.
The recording will be saved and the player will return to play FM Radio.
Save Path:
Choose this option to change the location where your FM recordings are saved. You can choose to save photos to the internal memory or to a memory card (when installed).
Record Quality:
Choose this option to change the audio quality setting for recordings you make. A higher quality setting will generate larger les.
Record Gain:
A setting of 3 or 4 is recommended for record gain. If the recording is too quiet, increase the gain. If the recording crackles or distorts, reduce the gain setting.

Save Channel/Delete:
Select this option to save or delete a preset. If you tune to a station using frequency tuning, the ‘Save Channel’ option will be displayed. You can select this option, then select a preset location to store your station as a preset. If the radio is set to preset tuning, the ‘Delete’ option will be displayed. You can select this option to delete this preset from the memory.
Auto Search:
Select the ‘Auto Search’ option to tune the band and store all found stations as presets.
Channel List:
Select the ‘Channel List’ option to open a list of the stored preset frequencies. You can browse the list and choose a preset to listen to.
FM Sensitivity:
Select this option to change the search sensitivit y. Set to high sensitivity to tune to all stations found when scanning. Set to low sensitivity to exclude weak stations. The medum option is the factor y default.
User channel List:
The User Channel List is the le containing user preset information for your player. It is not advisable to access or edit this le in any way.
Mute:
Select this option to instantly mute the sound from the radio. Once mute is set, this option will change to ‘Play’. Select ‘Play’ to cancel mute.

EBOOKS OVERVIEW
Your player includes a book reading facility for .TXT format les.
EBooks formats:
There are a number of EBooks formats. Your player supports EBooks compiled in plain text ‘.TXT’ format. EBooks are often downloaded from the Internet. From your computer, you can use Windows Explorer to copy the EBook .TXT les to the TXT folder on your player (refer to the section ‘Using Windows Explorer to transfer picture, video and ebook les’). Once the EBooks are copied to your player you can read the books from the player display. The next page describes the EBook reading features included with your player.

Your player includes a book reading facility for .TXT format les.
To read an Ebook or text le:
Select the ‘EBook’ mode from the Main menu.•
The display will show the EBook menu.
Browse for the book you want to read by selecting an option from this menu. These are the options available -
Choose ‘Now Reading’ to continue reading the book you were • last reading. Choose ‘Dir List’ to browse the EBooks folder on your player.• Choose ‘Tag List’ to browse EBooks that you have tagged.•
Once you have selected an EBook, the text will be displayed in pages. If you choose to open a new EBook , the rst page will be displayed, if you chose the ‘Now reading’ option, you will return to the point where you were last reading.
Navigating the pages manually:
Press the •  button to change to the next page. Press the •  button to return to the previous page.
Auto Reading:
Press the • /, button to start the Auto Reading feature. When Auto reading is selected, the pages will turn automatically. Press the • /, button at any time to return to manual page control.
NOTE: You can set the speed for the pages to turn in the EBooks
Advanced Features menu.

Skip to:
Select this option to skip to a particular point in the book. The skip function navigates in percentage, where 0% is the start of the book, 50% is half-way though the book and 100% is the end of the book. You can choose to skip to a percentage in multiples of 5%.
Auto Reading Speed:
Choose this option to change the display time for each page when auto-reading. Once set, the pages will automatically ‘turn’ at the interval you set.
Font Size:
Choose this option to change the font size on the display.
Add Bookmark:
If you select this option a bookmark will be added at the current point in the book. You can nd bookmarks you have saved by using the ‘Tag List’ option from the EBook menu.
Select Coding:
If this option appears you can choose to change the coding for a particular language.

Resume:

File browser:
The Browser function is provided as a means of browsing and organising les for experienced users who are familiar with File Explorer programs on computers. When using the Browser function, all folders on your player are visible so folders and les of all media types may be located easily to play.
To start the Browser function:
Select ‘Browser’ mode from the Main menu.•
The display will show a folder list.
Using the browser you can open one of the folders and browse the les within the folder. If you to nd a le you want to view or play you can highlight the le and select it. The player will open the le and star t up the correct Music/Video/Photo function to play the le you selected.

In addition to playing les via the le browser, you can also organise the les on your player via the File Organiser menu. This function is useful to transfer les between a docked Micro-SD card and the internal memory of the player.
While the folder list is displayed, press the • FUNC button to open

Select All:
Choose ‘Select All’ to selec t all les in the displayed folder.
Move:
The ‘Move’ option enables you to move les between folders. For example, you can move recordings from the internal memory of the player to a docked Micro-SD card.
Copy:
The ‘Copy’ function enables you to copy les from one folder to another.
Delete:
The ‘Delete’ function enables you to delete les from the internal memory or from a docked Micro-SD card.

Settings menu:
There are a number of congurable settings within your player that can be set up through the Settings Menu.
To open the Settings menu:
Select the ‘Setting’ mode from the Main menu.•
The display will show the Settings menu.
Press the •  or  button to browse the settings list.
Eect Setting:
Choose ‘Eect Setting’ to change the transition styles between menu screens.
Desktop Theme:
Choose ‘Desktop Theme’ to change the appearance of the Main menu between two dierent styles.
Display:
Choose ‘Display’ to set the Backlight Time (the time period that the display remains lit after a button is pressed) or ‘Brightness’ (to set the display brightness).
Power Saving:
Select this option to set the Idle time (the player will set to Standby if no buttons are pressed for the duration of the set idle time). You can also choose to set a sleep time. In this case, the player will set to Standby once the sleep time has expired.
Date & Time:
Choose this option to set the date and time. The date and time you set is used to datestamp your recorded les, also photos that you take and videos that you record.

Language:
Select this menu option to set the menu language. NOTE: If you inadvertently set the player to the wrong language you can restore the English setting by resetting the player to factory settings.
Advanced:
Select the Advanced menu to access the Player Information screen, to change the User Name stored in the player or to reset the player to factory settings. NOTE: When changing the user name a keyboard will be displayed. When you have selected the letters for your user name, highlight the ‘OK’ key at the bottom of the screen to save and exit user name entry.

INSTALLING A MEMORY CARD
SD CARD IN
Your player includes a docking slot for a Micro-SD memory card. You can t a memory card to expand the capacity of your player’s memory or to load in media that has previously been saved to the card.
Installing the card:
Open the SD Card cover.•
Load the card gently into the slot in the player, observing the •
polarity of the card.
Press the card home. It will click into place.•
You will now be able to access media stored on the memory card or use space on the memory card to make recordings etc.
Removing the card:
Press the end of the card.•
The card will eject from the slot. Store the card in its case to reduce the risk of any damage.

TROUBLESHOOTING
No power:
The battery may be at. Re-charge the battery and try again.
No sound, but the track is playing:
The volume may be turned down. Check that the music format of this track is supported.
Unable to make a recording:
There may not be enough power in the battery. Re-charge the battery and try again. There may not be enough memory left.
The buttons are not working or display does not switch o:
The player may need re-initialising. Gently insert a metal pin (the end of a paper clip is recommended) into the Reset hole in the back of the player. You will feel a small click and the player will reset.
Poor FM reception:
The FM signal strength may be low. Try re-positioning the player and headphone wire (the headphone wire is the aerial). You may be using the FM radio close to a computer or other electronic devices that are inter fering with reception. Try moving to another location.
Videos will not play:
The le format may not be correct for the player. The le may need to be converted to a format compatible with your player.
