How to place speakers
The Dolby Pro-Logic effect is best enjoyed when you
are seated as shown in figure below.

When connecting the speaker cables, be sure to only connect
positive. (-I-) wires to positive (Jr-) terminals, and negative (--) wires
to negative (--) terminals.
Do not connect the surround speakers to the
front speaker terminals. The surround speakers
may be damaged if connected to the front
terminals due to the output power difference
between the front and surround terminals.

The explanation below is an example of operation in the case where the front speakers are being used for
checking. If the center speaker and/or surround speakers are being used to enjoy the Dolby Pro Logic system or
SFC function, refer to pages 38-41 of the operating instructions.

Press SPEAKERS.
"SPEAKERS" willilluminate.

If the "TAPE MONITOR"
indicator is illuminated,
press this button to turn
the indicator off.
Press BAND 6
to select "FM" or "AM".
Turn
VOLUME to
adjust the
volume level,
Press TUNER.
J Press DOWN or
UP to tune to the
desired broadcast.
If either button is pressed
and held down, the
broadcast stations can be
tuned automatically.
