Thank you for your purchase of a Team Orion Advantage Touch Duo charger

This charger is equipped with a color touch screen and features the latest charge technology. Its touch interface has been specifically designed to allow the simultaneous charge and monitoring of two batteries.

Menu structure (illustration 1)

The screen is separated in two sections, at the top you have the settings bar that allows you to select the various settings and select the SPLIT view for displaying the data of both channels simultaneously. The bottom part of the screen is used to manage the charger’s functions and display actual settings/data.

Split view (illustration 2)

The split view mode allows you to simultaneously monitor the data and status of both channels.

Make sure that you read the quick start guide and instruction manual thoroughly before using the charger.

This charger comes with a new proram for LiPo HV batteries, which can be charged to 4.35V/cell.

WARNING! This charge mode is only suitable for HV LiPo batteries (3.8V/cell nominal, 4.35V/cell max.), not regular LiPo batteries (3.7V/cell nominal, 4.20V/cell max.). Using this charge mode with other types of batteries than LiPo HV can result in fire, damage to personal property and serious injury.

Menu-Aufbau (Illustration 1)

Der Touch Duo Hauptbildschirm ist in zwei Teile unterteilt. Oben befindet sich die Navigationsleiste zur Auswahl eines Kanals oder der SPLIT VIEW Ansicht. Unten wird die entsprechende Auswahl von der Navigationsleiste angezeigt. Hier können alle Einstellungen für einen Kanal vorgenommen und eine Funktion gestartet werden.

In der Split View Ansicht haben Sie gleichzeitig beide Ladekanäle in der Übersicht. Sie können sehen, welcher Kanal aktiv ist und alle Ladedaten ablesen.

Ce chargeur est équipé d’un écran tactile couleur et des derniers développements dans le domaine de la charge de batteries. Son interface tactile a été spécialement conçue pour le contrôle et la charge simultanées de deux batteries.

Structure du menu (illustration 1)

L’écran est séparé en deux sections, la barre située en haut de l’écran permet de faire les réglages et sélectionner la vue SPLIT qui permet d’afficher simultanément les données de deux canaux. La partie inférieure de l’écran sert à contrôler les fonctions du chargeur et afficher les réglages et données.

product malfunction, electrical issues, excessive heat, ﬁre and ultimately injury and property damage. When charging batteries, the use of a ﬁre retardant/prooﬁng bag or container (such as a LIPO safety bag) is strongly recommended.

· Never simultaneously connect the charger to an AC and DC power source.

· Never connect the charger to an AC power source with the DC power cord still connected to the charger.

· Never leave the charger unattended while it is powered on.

· Never allow children under 14 years of age to charge batteries without the supervision of an adult.

· Never charge the battery while it is inside the RC model.

· Never attempt to charge dead, damaged or wet batteries.

· Never attempt to charge a battery containing diﬀerent types of cells.

· Never attempt to charge a battery if you don’t have charge leads with compatible connectors.

· Never attempt to charge LiPo/LiFe batteries which are not equipped with a compatible balancing connector.

· Never attempt to charge LiPo/LiFe batteries without connecting their balancing connector to the charger.

· Never attempt to charge with the LiPo HV charge mode other types of batteries than

LiPo HV (3.8V/cell nominal, 4.35V/cell max.).

· Always make sure you are using a stable power source.

· Always disconnect the DC power cord before connecting the charger to an AC power source.

· Always connect the charger to the power source ﬁrst and then connect the battery to the charger. Reverse the sequence when disconnecting.

· Always charge only rechargeable batteries designed for use with this type of charger.

· Always follow the battery manufacturer‘s charge recommendations.

· Always make sure you select the correct battery type setting before charging the battery.

· Always make sure you select the correct charge settings, before charging the battery.

· Always make sure you use charge leads equipped with connectors compatible with those of the battery.

· Always connect the charge lead to the charger before connecting it to the battery. Reverse the sequence when disconnecting

· Always connect the battery balancing connector to the charger when charging LiPo/LiFe batteries.

· Always inspect the battery and charger for damage before charging the battery.

Limited Warranty

Team Orion warrants to the original purchaser that the product purchased is free from defects in materials and workmanship at the date of purchase. Team Orion reserves the right to change or modify this warranty without notice and

disclaims all other warranties, express or implied. This warranty is limited to the original purchaser and is not transferable. Replacement as provided under this warranty is the exclusive remedy of the purchaser. This warranty covers only the

products purchased from an authorized dealer. Third party transactions are not covered by this warranty. Proof of purchase is required for warranty claims. Team Orion makes no warranty or representation, express or implied, about non infringement, merchantability or ﬁtness for a particular purpose of the product. The purchaser acknowledges that they

alone have determined that the product will suitably meet the requirements of the purchaser’s intended use.

Purchaser‘s Remedy

Team Orion’s sole obligation hereunder shall be that it will, at its option, repair or replace any product determined by Team Orion to be defective in the event of a defect, this is the purchaser’s exclusive remedy. Replacement decisions are at Team Orion’s sole discretion. This warranty does not cover cosmetic damage or damage due to acts of God, accident, misuse, abuse, negligence, commercial use, or modiﬁcation of or to any part of the product. This warranty does not cover

damage due to improper installation, operation, maintenance or attempted repair by anyone.

Limitation of liability

Team Orion will not be liable for special, indirect or consequential damages, loss of proﬁts or production or commercial

loss in any way connected with the product, whether claim is based in contract, warranty, negligence, or strict liability.

Further, in no event shall the liability of Team Orion exceed the individual price of the product on which liability is asserted. As Team Orion has no control over use, setup, ﬁnal assembly, modiﬁcation or misuse, no liability shall be assumed nor

accepted for any resulting damage or injury. By the act of use, setup or assembly the user accepts all resulting liability. If you as the purchaser or user are not prepared to accept the liability associated with the use of this product, you are advised to return this product immediately in new and unused condition to the place of purchase.

Questions, assistance and service

If you need assistance, please contact your local hobby store and/or place of purchase. If they cannot provide support, please contact your local Team Orion representative. If it is determined that the product should be returned for service, this will be done at the expense of the user. Team Orion or the local representative are not responsible for the

merchandise until it arrives and is accepted at their facility.

A copy of the original sales receipt must be included for warranty consideration. Provided warranty conditions have been

met, your product will be serviced or repaired free of charge. Service or repair decisions are at the sole discretion of Team

Orion. Should Team Orion decide that the defect is not covered under warranty, Team Orion reserves itself the right to request payment for servicing, replacing and/or returning the product to the customer.

Instructions for disposal of WEEE by users in the European Union

This product must not be disposed of with other waste. Instead, it is the user’s responsibility to dispose of their waste equipment by handing it over to a designated collections point for the recycling of waste electrical and electronic equipment. The separate collection and recycling of your waste equipment at the time of disposal will help to conserve natural resources and ensure that it is recycled in a manner that protects human health and the environment. Garantie

Team Orion garantiert, dass das Produkt zum Zeitpunkt des Kaufs frei von Material- und Montagefehlern ist. Team Orion behält sich das Recht vor, diese Garantiebestimmungen ohne Ankündigung zu ändern oder modiﬁzieren und widerruft dann bestehende Garantiebestimmungen. Die Garantie wird nur dem Erstkäufer (Käufer) gewährt und kann nicht übertragen werden. Der Anspruch des Käufers besteht in der Reparatur oder dem Tausch im Rahmen dieser Garantie. Die Garantie erstreckt sich ausschließlich auf Produkte, die bei einem autorisierten Team Orion Händler erworben wurden. Verkäufe an dritte werden von dieser Garantie nicht gedeckt. Garantieansprüche werden nur angenommen, wenn ein gültiger Kaufnachweis erbracht wird. Team Orion übernimmt keine Garantie für die Verkaufbarkeit des Produktes, die Fähigkeiten und die Fitness des Verbrauchers für einen bestimmten Einsatzzweck des Produktes. Team Orion behält sich vor, alle eingesetzten Komponenten zu prüfen, die in den Garantiefall einbezogen werden können. Die Entscheidung zur Reparatur oder zum Austausch liegt nur bei Team Orion. Deshalb kontaktieren Sie in einem solchen Fall den Händler, der sich mit Team Orion kurz schließen wird, um eine sachgerechte Entscheidung zu fällen, die Ihnen schnellst möglich hilft. Garantieanfragen werden nur bearbeitet, wenn ein Originalkaufbeleg von einem autorisierten Fachhändler beiliegt, aus dem der Käufer und das Kaufdatum hervorgeht. Sollte sich ein Garantiefall bestätigen wird das Produkt repariert oder ersetzt. Diese Entscheidung obliegt einzig Team Orion.

1. Battery and Charger connection

The ﬁrst time you start the charger, a setup assistant will help you setup your charger. You can restart the assistant from the advanced setup screen.

You need to setup the proper parameters so that the charger can safely charge your battery. Setup the charge parameters following the battery manufacturer recommendations.

Once you have setup the proper parameters, you can charge your battery.

Make sure that the battery is properly connected to the charger, charge leads and balancing connector (if available) and that the parameters are compatible with your battery.

Press and hold the charge button, the battery check screen will be displayed. Press and hold the discharge button, the battery check screen will be displayed.

2. Charger Assistant

Buttons which are grayed out indicate that the particular function cannot be used with the charger’s current setup.

4. Active and inactive Buttons

The buttons at the top of the screen indicate the current settings. Press each button to setup the particular parameter. You need to adjust the parameters according to your battery.

Once the charge is completed, the ﬁnal charge data will be displayed. Once the discharge is completed, the ﬁnal discharge data will be displayed.

The charger features a discharge function.

If no problems are detected, the charge screen will appear,

indicating the current status of the battery.

• Never leave the charger unsupervised while it is powered on.

• Never let children operate the charger without supervision from an adult.

• Always setup the charger parameters according to the battery manufacturer speciﬁcations.

• Do not attempt to charge batteries which are not compatible with the charger.

• Do not exert excessive pressure on the touch screen.

• Do not use cleaning products to clean the touch screen, use only a clean cloth.

• Do not block the charger’s cooling vents. • Do not expose to heat and direct sunlight. • Do not expose to water or humidity.

• The charger and batteries can become hot during use. Take great care before handling them.

• Use the charger in a well ventilated area, away from people and electrically conductive or ﬂammable materials.

• If the battery has suspicious reactions during the charge or discharge, such as overheating, venting or leaking, immediately disconnect the battery and store it in a safe location, away from people and ﬂammable materials.

The warranty does not cover incorrect installation, components worn by use, or any other problem resulting from incorrect use or handling of the product. No liability will be accepted for any damage resulting from the use of this product. By the act of connecting and operating this product, the user accepts all resulting liability.
