A26 Battery Replacement Instructions
Caution: Disconnect the AC power adapter and place the power switch in the OFF
position before beginning the replacement.
1. Lift the two rubber pads at both ends of the bottom of the A26. Set these aside
for reinstallation after the battery replacement.
2. Remove the two screws on the bottom right end of the unit base using a T-10
TORX driver.
3. Using a flat bladed screwdriver, slide the base cover all the way to the left. It
should then be possible to lift the base cover away from the A26 body.
4. With the cover removed, lift the battery from its position.
5. Unplug the battery and replace with a battery pack from TDK Life on Record. A
screwdriver can be used to carefully press the connector of the new battery into
the socket.
6. Slightly twist the wires as the battery is lowered into place.
7. Reassemble the base plate by inserting into the retaining slots on both sides of
the body, in the leftmost position. Then use a flat bladed screwdriver to move
the plate to the right, aligning with the screw holes at the right end.
8. Replace the two screws and the two rubber pads.
This completes the battery replacement procedure.
Proper disposal of the old battery is essential from an environmental and safety point
of view. Please follow local regulations for proper disposal. Putting any battery
directly in the trash will harm the environment.
Do not incinerate.
Following the replacement, the new battery should be fully charged.
Place the battery switch under the right flap of the A26 to the OFF position.
Connect the micro USB charging cable to a power source.
Allow to charge until the red charging LED on the top of the unit goes OFF.
